Ah finally. The annual "FIRE EVERYONE" Thread- thank you for not disappointing.

Lapolice has always been an idiot. He's never run a consistent offense, even in a good year. People always get jacked about 3-4 good games he puts together, too bad a season is 20-21 games including playoffs. Why do you underestimate Pierce? Where did Lapo play pro ball?

The way the run game was working last game, there should have been receivers open downfield.

Bombers have the worst passing attack in the league, right now. Lack of poise and errant throws from Nichols, receivers who don't make plays, and a scheme that seems to go into a shell, as games wear on. Until this gets straightened out - the losing will continue.

Lol.. Not today.. Richie Hall gave up 17 points cuz Richie Hall cant tackle and Richie Hall sucks in coverage... But still Richie was only really on the field for 17 of those points.. So.. The Riders O scored 17.. Im considering the pick on the first drive a pick 6.. 17 points? Not bad at all. The End? Perhaps but I think more so for Nichols. D gave up 17 points.. Without the mistake on O and special teams.. We win.. Oh hey Medlock had a FG blocked also. The D was good enough to win but our O cant help them.. Bomber D isnt great but 17 points against? What more do you want from them?

Game was there in crunch time again........ BUT. Bombers simply vaporized on both sides of the ball..... again. Nobody making a clutch play when needed.....

You watch BLM and Reilly and how they can move in the pocket, step up, step around the rush and get out of the pocket when it is the right play. You can't defend against that. Then watch Nichols this season, no pocket presence, basically tap dancing in place until the rush gets him, nowhere near the level of these guys.

How well Nichols did last year or the year before doesn't really matter anymore. It's what he did last week and the week before that's more relevant.

I think the ball to Washington would have been intercepted even if he had not touched it. The rider D was far enough back and the ball was on its way down. My guess anyway. The defence did not play well in the second half because of all the 2 and outs from us. The DB's were having a hard time because the line was no longer able to apply constant pressure. Either Streveler is very lucky or better than MOS thinks. On two offensive plays in the last two weeks he gets two touchdowns. The one today was really nice because he threw it while scrambling. It's so much like another time. MOS sticking with the No.1 at all costs. I think Nichols should be tough enough to accept to be benched and take the opportunity to see what is happening that he can't see under game conditions. Oh well, playing here might help him.

We lost cuz our QB threw high and behind into double coverage. We lost because they ran a punt back for a TD. We lost because they mostly blocked a FG. All that in the first half when we dominated the game, the yards and the TOP, while holding them to about 100 yards of offense. We lost because we went 2 and out a couple of times in a row when we needed a drive. We lost because we covered the 3 yards they needed, but ignored the deep ball. We lost because our QB threw an 8 yard out badly resulting in another pick, when we needed to go down the field. We lost cuz of a busted coverage that resulted in a TD.

He's never run a consistent offense, even in a good year: Year - Team - Standing in total points 2008 - SSK - 4th in total points 2009 - SSK - 2nd in total points 2016 - WPG - 5th in total points 2017 - WPG - 1st in total points 2018 - WPG - Still 1st in total points with 338, next closest is Edmonton with 285, though we have played one more game than them currently. So, at worst, LaPo is middle of the pack as an OC. Why underestimate Pierce? He literally has almost no coaching experience whatsoever, and he's been with us since 2014. Not only that, for most of his coaching career he's been learning from LaPolice, this would be the equivalent of asking the teacher's pet to stand up and teach calculus. Where did LaPolice play pro ball? Since when does playing professional football translate into being a good coach? There's plenty of coaches out there that never played at the professional level, but are still great coaches, for example - Bill Belichick.

Sad what some fans have come to expect the Bombers, almost, good try, get them next time, lol, it's really is a team for the casual fan, an outing and nothing more.

If Nichols is unable to move the ball at critical times in the Banjo Bowl, O'Shea will have no choice but to pull him to protect his crumbling confidence. If he lays an egg the crowd is primed to crucify him on the spot which could rattle the entire team and send this season into a death spiral.

After having so much fun in Babble during the game, it’s clear I found some new insight. Therefore, as a result of observations from other MBB posters my choices are: 1. “Big Chris” Streveler. He told Andrew Harris Harris how to be a beast. 2. Curt Streveler when he was subbing in for Adam Bighill. 3. Streveler for playing a few downs on the line when Foketi got hurt. happy honker goes to..this ones tough...any suggestions? I mean, how good can a guy be? Can he possibly sweep all the awards?

The Bombers have trouble winning on the road in BC, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Ottawa, Hamilton, Montreal & Toronto. Other than that, it's all good.

Bomber O not getting a first down in almost the entire 4th quarter and the Riders have the ball near midfield to start 3 straight drives did it. Collaros just had to be patient.

I would have agreed with this in the first half... but we also cannot overlook the lack of adjustments or maybe 'overthinking' the adjustments heading into the second half... It is the primary ongoing problem with this team... never mind the implosions in the last three minutes...

What evidence do you have that Buck would be effective? When has he ever been effective? He never won a Grey Cup, threw 18 picks against 14 TD’s in his best season here (2011- we went to the Cup that year in spite of him not because of him), and he has never struck me as even close to cerebral or well-spoken or even clear during interviews (whereas a guy like Dickenson or Maas or Clements all showed better on all those measures).

Throwing for 166 yds passing with 31 on one play isn’t going to win you many games in this league. Great first half by Harris but as usual when you can’t pass and the other team adjusts and shuts down the run in the second half. This team has not shown it can adjust at the half.....blame whomever you like.....it is an established pattern.

Sorry but good game plan doesn't result in 6 points and a 100 yards of offense in a half. Yes the 14 gave up on critical errors was the difference but that speaks to how pathetic the Riders O was in the first half. I care less about the Riders and more about how the Bombers are playing. It ain't pretty. Like my mom said when I got a shitty mark on a test and I said "but the whole class did bad," I don't care about how they did, I care about what our team does.

If Streveler doesn't start next game, this regime from Walters down to Hall is gone...

Only one on the OL too. 2 of them Nichols statued against 3 man rush, didn't throw it away, didn't scramble, just hunkered down until the Riders worked to him. On the 3rd one Hughes and Jefferson turnstiled both tackles.

Yeah its a total copout... BLM threaded 'QUADRUPLE' coverage against us... if you have confidence, receivers get open... if you're Willyed, then no one is ever open.

6 points in a half. Sask D dominated the 2nd half after Bombers eeked out a small lead in the first half with 2 critical errors. That's not a pretty good game.

I’ve defends Matt and certainly the crazy suggestions of getting rid of him have no merit. But it’s time to switch it up if only to let Matt watch. Something isn’t right since his injury. If we’re gonna lose let’s at least go down swinging with a talented second string QB that’s fun to watch

Ya it's actually crazy to think we lost a game where we had 200 yards rushing against a team with basically no offense.

MOS has to start giving Nichols the hook. I'd let him start the Banjo but if he isn't scoring TD's and moving the ball, you gotta pull him, any sane HC would.

I hate Nichols. He is absolutely terrible. People like @White Out continually show how little they get football by going on and on about the D. How much longer can they continue to get blamed for letting up after the O goes 2 and out for the 4th straight time. No D would be good enough to continually stop an O that gets the ball back every 45 seconds.

Nah. Your wrong. The problem is that our team wears blue, has a W on the helmet, and is named the Blue Bombers. You’ve missed it because we should have an S on the helmets, different colours and be named “the Winnipeg Big Purple Vein Chris Strevelers”.
