  1. While the FG% is the same, Sergio is making 88.4% of his converts and Legs is at 66.7%, an area where he has struggled before. Sergio has 7 attempts from 40 or beyond while Legs has 3. 6 out of 19 or nearly 33% of Legs kicks are from less than thirty yards while Sergio has only 3 from that distance. I wish Leigghio nothing but the best but I'd rather have Sergio.

  6. Local Metis artist designed the new logo for them. It's sick, for sure. I believe they've painted it at centre field as well. Good for them. Now, let's smoke these assholes.

  7. Pass rush needs to be disciplined. No awards for cutting inside and racing past the QB who's running by you. Get hands up so he can't see downfield, work into the pocket but keep him in there.

  9. I think the trust was simply gone with Liegghio. We had to move on. It's similar to Lirim Hajrullahu... we moved on and he became great elsewhere. But moving on wasn't a mistake.

  11. Ace in the hole....we have Wilson this game....Prob one of the best LB's for tracking down open field runners and using pursuit angles almost flawlessly....I'm not too concerned....if he was in his usual spot in Ottawa game, and we weren't rotating Briggs and Mauro...with especially heavy use of Briggs in last part of fourth....we would be sitting at 7-1....Also his smarts and experience are key...same can be said with Rose...he as well may have recognized that he could break off coverage and knife into the fracass...he is a very underrated open field tackler in cuttings guys down...tho I see it

  12. It's not about believing in or being against abortion, that's moot, hold whatever beliefs/opinions you want, it's about ensuring access to this specific healthcare service to women if they so choose. My support for women to choose is not shoving pro-abortion down one's throats. That's a weird thing to say. If one's hardened beliefs on this specific issue dictates/forces/controls what a woman can do with their uterus, that's an issue. Supporting women to have control over their own bodies, supporting the provision of evidence-informed resources for women to access if they so choose to assist them in what they need to figure out and support the provision of different options of what appropriate avenues they can take based on their own particular situations/dynamics, this is not an issue. This is being a responsible human being for other human beings. Oh and pointing this out is not bullying ffs.

    Site Slow Down and Issues

You may have noticed that the site has been somewhat slow today. Trying to diagnose what is causing it, but probably won't be able to dig in deeply until later today. May notice some intermittent up and down time while I try to figure out what is causing it

  18. Yea for sure. Wilson is almost as fast as Ford is and is waaaaay faster than Maruo or Briggs. He will help in that regard big time. Even Clements if he were healthy would have been huge against Ottawa.

  19. Castillo won us a Grey Cup and Liegghio soiled his shorts. Another underrated aspect of the move is that we have a punter on league minimum for 3 years and Liegghio was headed to Hamilton next year anyway.

    Castillo vs Liegghio

Castillo has already shown us that he can be clutch in the biggest game, Legghio showed us he couldn't. I could care less how good Legs #'s are in the regular season, he gone, we have Sergio and we're better off.

The part I don't get is why gender identity keeps being associated with sex and sexuality. They are completely different things. Just because the word sex is used in place of gender in a lot of places, people think that teaching kids about gender identity is in some way exposing them to sex. Kids are aware that there are genders (male and female) from a very young age... they may not know all of the physical differences there, but that's not what gender identity is about anyway, so why would it be wrong to teach to a kid in grade 2? People need to stop confusing teaching gender identity with teaching sexual education because they are barely even in the same realm.

The difference is that our beliefs are supposed to givern our conduct and interactions with others. When we use our beliefs to compel others to follow our rules, that is where the line is drawn. If you choose to practice in your life that abortion is wrong, that is fine. If you use that excuse (almost exclusively rooted in dogma) to force others to carry unviable foetuses to term, or by doing so, cause physical or psychological harm to the pregnant woman, you have crossed that line and are creating harm. If you teach that gender identity is defined by your beliefs and anyone who disagrees is deviant should be ostracised or otherwise punished, you re casuing harm. And the list goes on.

Except it kind of does... I mean if you personally don't believe in abortion that's your own beliefs and all fine and dandy, but the moment you start pushing that on everyone else you're an *******. As for the opposition to gender diversity that's just straight up intolerance.

When a person defends their position/opinion by misrepresenting facts, they are fair game. Small "l" liberals have historically been too polite in debate to the point that 50% of the population accept lies as fact and too many people believe all politicians are liars and crooks. Anyone who wants to base their opinions or position on lies is going to get a response from me. Pardon me if I take my role as a citizen seriously.

  28. We've come to the point that certain people from all walks of life are trying to to normalize wrapping half truths, lies, embellishments, completely made up stuff as issues and perspectives and expect this approach to be treated with civility and decorum. I say something absurd or unsubstantiated or provide a false equivalency or half true or make stuff up to support my position, I'm appropriately called on it usually with some level of respect, I come back hot with hostility to respond to being called on it, I'm countered again to substantiate my claims this time with less respect and a lot more sarcasm, I then play the victim card that I'm just providing another side and this is nuts you people are all bully's and won't listen to this side so I won't waste my time with you. Exhausting. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequences from that speech. No one is limiting what you can or can not say but everyone, no matter who you are and what you believe in, need to pay the consequences, good, bad or indifferent, of the words that come out of their mouth. I myself over my lifetime have appropriately experienced that the hard way in the words I have spoken and written.

Yup. It's mind blowing to me that some believe they can hold any opinion they want, any opinion along the continuum of craziness and outright falsehoods, and no matter what, no matter where this opinion sits along this continuum, it must always be met with civility and respect and if its not, the responder who calls these opinions out because they are wrong and dangerous, they are the problem in their mind, they are echo chamber WOKE libtards, not the actually opinion that runs counter to all the evidence on that particular issue. These same people will then appropriately come in very very hot on opinions offered by others that run counter to things they won't tolerate and/or care deeply about based on factual evidence. Perplexing, fascinating, exhausting etc.

Conservatives are so funny. They claim to want open discussion but hate that discussion involves actually explaining why their views are wrong so they cry foul and run away back to their safe spaces. Biggest snowflakes going are Conservatives. There is no pro-abortion... only pro choice. Which means you are free to be morally against abortions if you want, no one cares. It's the other side that wants to restrict choices and impose their views on everyone else.

  42. What exactly does pushing pro-abortion look like? Does it involve violently bloody billboards and mobs screaming at frightened teenagers as they walk into a clinic? I'm a mid-eighties baby. We waited til Grade 5 to start talking about sex-ed and honestly I think it was a bit too late to get ahead of some problematic thinking... case in point, we were all calling eachother faggots every 10 minutes without even knowing what it meant. That was quite a while ago now. I'm sure kids could handle 'the talk' happening earlier than 5th grade. How early though I have no idea. Literally every single Conservative MP voted YEA on bill C311 which would have the potential to bring criminal charges against abortion providers. The entire conservative party, as evidenced by their actions, support clamping down on abortion rights. https://www.ourcommons.ca/Members/en/votes/44/1/377?view=party

  44. Who is forcing women to get abortions? No one. That's why it's called pro-choice. Forced birth advocates want to remove that choice from women. That's just wrong. Please read this handbook from the Canadian Teachers' Federation titled "Affirming Gender Diversity" and tell me what content bothers you. https://www.ctf-fce.ca/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/SVB5_AGD_EN_final_web-1.pdf With an election coming up on October 3? I highly doubt it.
