A good deal eh?

I've rewatched the game in its entirety twice now ,wife thinks I'm nuts lol. But for all the accolades going to the DL ,I think Mike Jones at corner had a game for the ages. Took cry baby Banks out of game ,literally and figuratively.

One of the more underrated guys in the league. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

I think I've said it before on here, but I'll never forget just how little Evans wanted to be in the pocket holding the ball the final 5-7 minutes of that game. He looked absolutely traumatized by our pressure. All of the DBs played some excellent football over the three game stretch. Can't imagine the headache it must have been playing against a secondary as a unit playing so well across the board. Same goes for our linebackers. Love Maston/Wilson out there, and Bighill saved some of his best football all year for the most important game of the year. I can always hope for a defense this dominant in future seasons, but I don't think I can ever expect one to play any better than this 2019 team did during that playoff run.

The DL took it to the next level - everyone else just had to do their jobs behind them. They saved their best football for the big dance.

Walters got him for a STEAL from SSK because of his injury history... easily one of Walter's best "trade" moves in his tenure IMO.

Meanwhile, Collaros is casually surveying the field with their DL literally locked up. I’m getting a print of that made.

Liked Neufelds comment that re-upping was a no brainer..and he'd be in ears of others to as well for a Title Defense...I feel this is a similar sentiment among this group and we will be easily keeping our must haves/wants...

Neufeld will retire a Bomber... loyal guy , veteran leadership, good player when healthy.... He's the type of guy who probably will move into a coaching role when he's done.

It’s a no contest this 2019 defence is arguably an all time historically good. 2011 was a nice run but we got exposed by BC in the Grey cup.

My biggest recollection of Lapolice's time as HC here was the total lack of discipline the team had. As I recall it we were the most penalized team in the league and it wasn't even close. I wish him well in Ottawa (except when they are playing us) and I hope he has learned from his time with O' Shea. That was my first sign that O' Shea was going to be a good coach. The team immediately displayed exemplary discipline under O' Shea and I believe has been one of the least penalized teams in the league his entire tenure here.

I'll repeat myself, I wouldn't mind losing McManus but not Rigmadien. Hoping Als reunites with Popp or Buono hires himself. 😀

Key signing if you ask me..Get Hardick and Bryant finalized and we are back to our Grey Cup starting (dominant) line...with Gray and Eli in pipeline and most likely means we are moving on from Couture..which is fine by me as Desjarlais/Eli and Gray all have better upside...He served us well for 4 years..we got him a ring..I bet we see him in Ottawa

I love that part in Mic'd up where Banks is complaining about taking too many touches, and then on the next Sweep- the speed and penetration the D line got to just crush Banks.

The most other worldly aspect of their GC run - was the insane physicality and dominance in the trenches.

This year was magic...but football is a what have you done for me lately business. Next year is next year and if we struggle I want heads to roll just as if we were in a 30 year GC drought. We are the GC champs and should not be approaching next year, or in the age of 1 year contracts, any year as a rebuild. We have the foundation in place now my expectations are on field success every year.

You will never understand that I will forever be thrilled with winning the Grey Cup in 2019? That's pretty sad. No matter how hard I fan, it won't affect the on-field product. I would never expect anyone in this management to take any years off. I wouldn't blame them, though, if they thought this was a good time to reload in some areas and let higher priced talent go and relying on scouting to replace them. If you think that anyone in management and coaching is going to take their foot of the gas, you haven't been paying attention. And, yeah, if this team starts 0-5, that's going to suck; however, I will the 107th Grey Cup to reflect upon rather than being that a-hole who boos the team if they struggle in season.

makes one wonder of lapo's faith in himself and his ability to be a leader and turn a situation around, in choosing Ottawa over Edmonton When you look at it Edmonton is the better team all around..Have a QB, a way better defense...better depth, and also logistically is a lot closer to his wife's family/extended family, yet he choose to go across country, to a team with no QB...arguably a tire fire, and a GM who is rumored difficult to deal with Looks to me he tried to take the safe path and go to a spot where being mediocre will most likely result in a play-off spot in the weaker east, as opposed to battling WPG/CGY/SSK and I bet even BC this year for a play-off spot...choose his destination like he coached/called a game...safe with minimal risk.. To me that reeks of lack of true confidence in ones self

For me, it's all about the result. 2019 Defense finished strong and was instrumental in winning the Grey Cup, can't beat that.

That was more on the Defense than the Offense. Offense did well- but that D... holy ****... That Defense going into the play offs... was Otherworldly.
