  1. Last year, we beat Montreal to earn a 9th straight win. Let's do it again tonight.

  5. **** em all. The Bombers have found every which way to win as the reigning back to back champions and I’m enjoying the hell out of it. 2019 - lose your starting qb, blow some massive leads in the reg season, lose your back up qb - oh wait he came back wrapped in duct tape, pull ZC8 off the proverbial scrap heap and just f*cking win 2021 - blow away everyone and play one of the most stressful scary awesome championship games I’ve seen. 2022 - amidst major roster changes, bring on the doubters, the haters, every team gunning for the champs (again) We’ll take the standings, the opposition, the predictions, the power rankings and crush it all.

  7. If we win tonight, we'll finish no worse than .500 this season. We have not finished a season at or below .500 since 2015. This would be our 6th straight season without a losing record and one win away from 6 straight winning seasons. In the Canadian Mafia we trust.

  8. We need Ellingson for two games in the fall. That's it. He can rest and recouperate all year, as long as he plays at IG Field (East) on Sunday, November 13th, and IG Field (West) on Sunday, November 20th.

  13. He’s worth every penny. Injuries happen, he has exceptional chemistry with Collaros and people are already forgetting the impact he’s made. 11 catches for a 152 yards and two touchdowns in his last start, being one of the leading receivers in the league and really our most consistent guy on offense, especially early on in the season before our offense really found its groove, it’s not inconceivable to say without some of his big catches earlier in the year we could have lost a few of those close games to start the season.

  26. Timing, and pace of the route are essential, as is making the right read of the route tree. Receivers have options on most plays based on the D they are facing. They must make the right read, beat their defender who is trying to throw off their route, and run it at the correct distance and pace. Also being on the same page as your QB is ultra important. We saw Zac and Shoen's convo the other night as they sorted out the route after his TD pass so that they would always be on the same page in that particular play call. You gotta have all that and the physical ability to go with it. It may seem like Dressler was open more than others and he probably was, but a lot of it was just recognizing the defence and knowing where the open area is, going there, and knowing where your QB thinks you will go.

  39. At the current moment, there are only 2 points at which I get concerned: 1. We start losing multiple games in a row directly attributed to his absence 2. The first playoff game and he is still not back Even then, both of those things are out of my control as a fan, so I would classify it more as disappointment rather than concern, no point fretting about what you can’t alter. Next man up, go 1-0, etc. As for injuries making signings bad, it is a risk with every contract signing, but Ellingson has not shown signs of being chronically injured in the past, so still a good signing to me. And as we’ve seen with Collaros, even signing a historically injured player can turn out great.

  42. There was definitely concern that he would show continued decline (if that's what you think last year was) especially with our history of signing veteran FA receivers. There is/was a lot of PTSD...
    3 points
  43. Pretty much. We saw disappointment after disappointment from formerly great receivers who came here and were busts. Ellingson has thankfully broken that mold but it was hard to get excited until we actually got to see how good he still is.
