  1. I emailed Climie and he told me this morning that the 2022 Bombers are the worst 7-0 team of all time.

  2. Can't we just drop this argument, and get back to all agreeing that we should drop #ForTheW and go back to the far superior "We've got it going on" campaign?

  4. Teams prepare for him more, when he gets double teamed etc. It just opens someone else up. He may not get the sexy stats of prior years, but still makes guys who play around him better and an integral cog to our D.

  8. Yah, I'd say Jefferson has been having a great season so far, stats. are for people who don't watch the games.

  9. Great interview with Derek Taylor on Winnipeg Sports Talk yesterday. As many probably recall, DT often did "deep dive" type stats when he was with TSN. In his tracking this year, and looking back at last year he discovered the following: Percentage of runs that Bomber running backs were hit in the backfield in 2021: 13 percent Going into the Edmonton game, Bomber running backs have been hit in the backfield 31 percent of the time. I'm sorry, but that's a staggering difference - so it's not like our current running backs have forgotten over an off-season how to run the ball. Both showed reasonably well last season when Andrew Harris was fat/out of shape and injury prone. The loss of Couture and Desjarlais plays a huge part as well, and absolutely there's been times when Augustine and Oliveria have missed open lanes - I've yelled at my TV this year when it's happened. However, to place run game struggles solely on them just isn't an accurate train of thought whatsoever, and the figures by DT proves that.

Yeah everyone praises Paul Martin for balancing the budget but he did that on the back of forcing provinces to make the cuts.

  13. yup....it really messes teams up...and if all goes well and Kongbo comes back and we can have him and Jeffcoat come off the edge...toss in a Wilcotts or Sayles or the Panzer...will really create havoc I'd even go so far as to say Thompson has a nice foothold there...once he got a few games under his belt he been pretty good...brings the lumber and def has teams receivers looking over their shoulders...I was critical at first...but now he isn't a concern....basically was a raw rookie to start yr...so had some learnin' moments

  14. thats why I said earlier...we should move him for a late round pick...neg guy....even a PR guy...he serves no purpose here now other than prob consuming about 130...150k....didnt cost us anything so far this yr...or to obtain him...so anything in return is a win

    TSN's Panel & Crew

On another media related topic, 3Down Nation, is starting to slightly annoy me. It's not about their football judgement. It is all about how they ignore the leading team in the CFL with two Grey Cups under their belt. Everything seems written from the perspective of their opponents, and the analysis ignores so much of what actually went on in the games. I love Ed Tate and the bluebombers.com site. I find TSN more than adequate. But 3DN is shooting itself in the foot when they could be doing so much better, in my opinion. I do not know if anybody else feels the same way but I would like to know your opinions, if you have any.

No, he wasn't. But there were additional factors at play.

  20. Yeah Jefferson makes teams account for him on every play. He is a complete disruptive force to a quarterback regardless of whether he is picking up stats or not.

  21. Agreed. I remember people claiming until about half way through 2019 that Willie wasn’t playing very well. He disrupts teams in many many measurable and immeasurable ways. Thst said, Biggie is still probably the MODP front runner and BA will be a huge addition when he gets back. HOFers at every level. Biggie and Willie are locks, and I think BA is one of the best safeties this league has ever seen.

  28. Remember when people here criticized Riderfans for being an echo chamber where dissenting option was a fast track for being ganged up on and banned by the mods? Hopefully you are not suggesting that for this site with your comment here. Everyone is entitled to their take as Stickum rightfully said. And everyone should also be allowed to call out a differing opinion and be able to argue/debate/whatever you want to call it without it becoming a personal attack on the poster and not the post. And people who do have a post called out (as opposed to their personal character) should try not to take it so personally. Debate or “argument” is pretty much the basis of a message board, if you have a take that you think is valid, it should be easy to back it up with facts to convince the doubters, if you think an opposing take is nonsense, you should be able to call it out with contradictory facts as opposed to insults. And if something purely sarcastic is written, maybe a sarcasm emoji would help here. But I disagree that we all have to “fit in” with the same point of view or “**** off”, especially if the point is heavy on emotion/insult/snark and also light on logic, and disagreeing is not about telling others how we should act as a”true fan”, and I don’t think it should be looked at as such. As always, I welcome a spirited debate, and take no disagreement personally unless it is a personal shot at me and not my post. Those I just try to shrug off as best as possible, or at worst reply with a measured response of snark in kind. JMO.

I’ll catch you up. -Riders suck -Fajardo is a whiny loser -Riders are a dirty trashbag team -Dickinson is a whiny excuse-maker -TSN sucks -Schedule-maker is a joke, trying to sabotage the Bomber dynasty -Suitor sucks -Everyone at TSN is rooting against the Bombers, except Matt Dunigan who is the best they have -Did I mention that the Riders and their fans suck? So basically nothing new.

  42. Why are you so angry about it? I mean I get people can ***** and moan about a high pick on Mulumba who never played, but most of the top athletes from that draft were going to the NFL, they gambled on Mulumba being one who wouldn't get that shot. But why Bilukidi? He was a mid or late round pick that they took a chance on coming back from the NFL. Kyle Walters had take some of those risks too. Just what you have to do sometimes in the CFL draft. Not worth being angry about at this point.

  43. I might be in the minority here, but I'll take this at face value. He's excited to play hockey on this team for 1 more year. Based on the off ice bullshit (dressing room, coach resigning, etc.) that the Jets went through, he's using this year as his measuring stick. If Bowness can right the ship, I do believe PLD would sign long term. The way I look at it, PLD was telling the Jets, hey if you want me, you need to get things fixed around here. That being said, this is a terrible way to do it, and just answer the question honestly. if you want to test free agency, then just say so. The team has enough drama, we don't need anyone else adding to it.
