The disadvantage the CFL has here is that field hockey is one of the most popular sports in India. I mean.. I moved to India it would be a lot easier for me to figure out field hockey than Cricket for example... Football is very hard to understand if you didn't grow up with it.

Sure, but I don't think the CFL is wading into the some of historical inequities that our country has had. We can certainly see a lot of Canada in the CFL but I wouldn't heap all of the social issues onto the CFL. It's sport. Sport, along with the Arts, has a special way of reflecting the good and bad of our society.

The promoter posted a detailed explanation of his side of the story. Very similar to what I heard. We booked Brutus way back in 2002 and he was fine. Personally, I think the recent changes to league rules regarding defending receivers have passed Loffler by... I love his style of being a player lurking in the weeds, often delivering pivotal, jarring hits on WRs. Sadly though, I think the league has been trending away from that style, and we often see Loffler (and other similar players) penalized for hits that would've been legal even say, 4-5 years ago. Also, he has had injuries in his tenure here, which will only get worse as he continues to age.

Ummm after 3 quarters Nichols had how many yards throwing? When the RB is getting big yards how isn't the passing game on the qb? As I said before... several times this year Nichols looked really off with great protection and wide open receivers... how isn't those issues solely on the qb?

I find it odd that it's always Lapo has got to go... but when the team is clicking on offense it's always Nichols is back to playing the way he used to. The only game I went to this season was the stinker against Ottawa and it was night and day clear that the issues was Nichols not seeing wide open targets and missing on his throws. Meanwhile Streveler comes in ice cold and with the same play selection and the same protection and receivers he was hitting on all cylinders and had the Ottawa defense on their heels. I can agree with some of the weird play calls in the red zone being on Lapo... but when Nichols struggles to make a basic high % low risk throw then you can't dump that all on Lapo.
