  1. I think this is a fair assessment. 2nd round was higher ceiling. 3rd and 4th rounds are where there is a much higher quantity of medium ceiling guys. But much more likely to carve out a role as a depth guy.
  2. Heck yeah. Love the attitude. Let's get more shitkickers in the clubhouse. Hope this pays off.
  3. Can someone explain this converting to OL thing with Daniels? The pictures of him makes him look like that transition would be a reverse liposuction. He doesn't look even close to an o lineman
  4. The teams didn't seem to value WR much this draft. Seems like there were a lot of decent ones but nothing to write home about.
  5. I just said this in my Bomber chat. They look LOST. haha especially after that last Djete pick...Ferguson is looking down at a complete loss.
  6. Based on the picks after us...you can basically throw the mocks out 🤣... Our pick isn't looking so weird
  7. Interesting...our heavy sets are going to be heavy. 3 american OL and then having Daniels sitting on the outside...Brady could be running wild. And Collaros will have some great protection.
  8. Really interesting watching his highlight package. That is a mid arm if I've ever seen one. But nearly all his throws are tight spirals and on time. Seems to know where the defense is going to be, and doesn't telegraph where he's going with the ball, which is enough sometimes to feather in some passes in the zones. At the pro level? I have no idea. Looks like a really savvy player...almost like a point guard out there. I like that he finds the forgotten man once he starts to scramble.
  9. I'm pretty confident we will be good this year. How good will depend on our quarterbacking. I personally have high hopes with Broxton and the overall commitment to revamping our OL...and then Tim White to throw to... Defense is really shaping up to be menacing. Riders suck, BC sucks. Time to assert our position back at the top of the mountain.
  10. Yowch. Hope he doesn't hold some resentment.
  11. Have teams ever kept a Canadian QB as one of the 21 national players and just not given them any snaps? Or would you just have them on the 1 game injured list at that point
  12. Masoli wouldn't be my choice but if someone had to come in off the bench and run a CFL offense I think I he could still make plays. But given we still have Wilson I don't think it's that critical. I agree with Tyree Adams being the better fit at this time. If only just to bring him as a camp arm and see if he's recovered.
  13. I'd say you could do a lot worse than having Masoli as a vet backup. He'd be the poor man's Collaros at this point given he can't run much anymore. But theoretically our line would do a lot better to protect both of them.
  14. We will learn a lot by how well he performs this year. No excuses as I think he has the tools now. I believe he will have a huge bounce back year.
  15. He's looking for his best pay day. Can't really blame him. I'd imagine Walters gave him a pretty low offer given how much money we threw around so far this off-season. I agree with 17to85. He's not here so whatever.
  16. Our biggest problem last year IMO was that we lost both lines of scrimmage. And it was especially bad on offense because we had virtually zero game breaking receivers. How that came to be can be debated. But, I am glad they spent on both lines this off-season.
  17. Was excited for Kelly but he's one of those guys I think that needs to take the next step or he'll be on the outside looking in.
  18. Not sure where he ranked last year, just that he was the best Canadian OL available in free agency. Supply and demand. So he picks up a big salary, but is he that good? While Broxton is American, he ranked the best Lineman, period...and plays the most important position on offense outside of the QB. Gotta love it
  19. Didn't JSK play some MLB in Hamilton? Could work better over Tony Jones in Jordan Younger's style of defense...blitzing/coverage.
  20. MBT would be the only guy worth bringing in but just doesn't seem like a FIFO guy.
  21. Yeah I'm not sure either. They will likely take one of Artopeous and Wilson and one of Thorne and Perkins. I can't imagine they will start the year with Collaros and no CFL experience behind him. My guess it will be TD Terry running short yardage and Perkins waiting in the wings.
  22. Mark digging up some repressed memories relating to The Factor.
  23. Ourbombers was a strange and magical place
  24. Combination of Big Stan and Broxton (I'm assuming) on the left side is going to be wild. Eli should have a tonne of confidence in the middle when he doesn't have to worry about anything to his left. Snap the ball and do your job.
