  1. And then Castillo followed that up with a booming kickoff into the end zone to get the single point and make up for the miss.

  2. Calgary defence has given up a lot of rushing yards. Just hand Oliveira the rock and pound 'em. Also, Calgary has already given up one punt return TD and they've given up a ton of return yards. We can 100% expect Janarion Grant to entertain us against team Dickheadson.

  4. Bombers are tied with Argos for lead in touchdowns scored (Argos have had a bye already). Oliviera leading league in yards from scrimmage by like 100 yards over Schoen. Only guys close in yards per game are Mills from Calgary and Tuggle from Ottawa. Bombers (19), Argos (19), Ticats (6 LOL), Elks (6 LOL) haven't missed a field goal or PAT. Thus far the placekickers with the lowest percentage are Paredes and Lauther.

  7. That's who Grant can sub in for 23 snaps. If Wolitarsky went down, BOLO takes that spot and Grant can sub in for him in that case.

  8. yeah...I stick to my thought if Maier can get it together and gain some confidence and actually push the ball down the field then I see them as the team to challenge us. Our roster as well is starting to shape up....once we get healthy, and hopefully stay healthy, we will be sitting pretty good. With Exume now added, and the return of Miller and Hansen to the ST we will be infinitely better...Lawler added to the offence is a no brainer...and will be scary, and If Wilson gets back to 2021 form quickly...Jeffcoat stays out of tub and Haba and Lawson get more reps and experience....we be pretty tough....and thats still with figuring out to do with DB's when Rose, Parker and Lawrence are healthy....Cause as it is if Swarmay keeps getting better, and used to the CFL game,...and Houston plays like we seen, we will have a lot of options to play with when we also have Holm and Muhamed...and I bet Ford too at some point

  9. I'm finding it kind of hard to believe the Ceresna hit did it. Adams is full speed lead blocking on the Redblacks last TD in that game. Delayed effect? Most people I've seen tear their ACL can hardly move because their knee is so unstable. Saw Gene Gaines passed away. Great player and great coach for like 40 years in the CFL. 7-8 years with Bombers in different eras. Late 80s-90 Grey Cup teams leading those secondaries and back with Ritchie.

  11. meh....good on Bailey...sends the message to teams that they need to keep head on a swivel and can't 100% focus on ball carrier cause they could get popped....will have lingering effects and be talked about as a point in their team discussions when breaking down film on us....advantageous for sure....I like how he rocked that Dequay goof too on the one BO run where he didnt go out of bounds and ran over the db

Lot of companies/institutions make it clear up front you don't work from home with kids around. My company is less uptight about that. Their whole thing is as long as the work is getting done they don't care how you do it. Working from home with kids is a pain and I'd never try and do it full time. Once in a while when they're sick sure, but they crater productivity when they're little.

  17. It's tougher these past few years. I mean the two best teams in the CFL went full out on the western final... and both teams kicked the **** out of each other... and who does the arblows play on the EF, ******* weak-assed Montreal with no sacks and very fee pressures... I see a repeat of last year... go toe to toe with BC, get banged up and then the winner limps in to face the barely pushed arblows... I want the ALLCAPS to maul them this year.

  18. In zone you usually leave the backside end unblocked by the OL so it’s generally 5 on 3 or even 5 on 2 at the line. That’s where that split block going counter the line or a receiver cracking on the end on the backside comes in if it’s not a read play. It’s doubles across the line driving with the flow of the play to catch other defenders downfield. It’s why DC’s like Hall love the bear front so much because it forces big on big blocks vs the run but pulls linebackers up into the line which is risky vs the pass and also forces your SAM and DBs to make tackles. In what I’m scheming up for my guys we love seeing the bear front because if everyone play side even just turns their block off the gap off guard or off tackle we probably have 8 yards for our back before he gets touched. Much harder to block through that flow to the ball if the backers are off the line.

This is a natural extension of right-wing thinking in Canada- they have seen the rise of extremist right-wing power in the USA, and as destructive as it has been, they want that kind of power and delude themselves that they can harness and control it to give them perpetual power in Canada. Obviously, the GOP had the same delusion which has taken the US into very dangerous and violent times. There is an axiom that describes this perfectly-" If you lie down with dogs, you are going to get fleas". All fascism needs is a veneer, no matter how thin, of respectability.

Wagner Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin Is In Russia, President Of Belarus Says MINSK, Belarus (AP) — The mercenary leader who led a short-lived mutiny against the Kremlin is in Russia and his troops are in their field camps, the president of Belarus said Thursday, raising new questions about the deal that ended the extraordinary challenge to President Vladimir Putin’s rule. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s claim could not be independently verified, and the Kremlin refused to comment on Yevgeny Prigozhin’s whereabouts. But Russian media have reported he was recently seen at his offices in St. Petersburg. It was not clear if Prigozhin’s presence in Russia would violate the deal, which allowed the head of the Wagner Group military contractor to move to Belarus in exchange for ending the rebellion and a promise of amnesty for him and his troops. But the reports signaled that the agreement may have allowed him to finalize his affairs in Russia. If that’s true, it could suggest the threat posed by Prigozhin has not yet been fully defused and that the Kremlin is treading carefully with him until it can figure out what to do with troops who may still be loyal to him. Putin has said that Wagner troops can join the Russian military, retire from service or move to Belarus. But much about the the agreement, which was brokered by Lukashenko, remains murky.

  28. I believe it's also a newer rule that just came in over the past couple of years, so if Calgary has done it before and got away with it, it may have been before the new rule came in. Edit:; Just looked it up and it appears it was a new rule in 2018: Article 13 — Blindside Blocking It shall be illegal for any player to deliver a forcible block on an opponent while moving back towards their own dead ball line anywhere on the field.

  38. Leaders lead by example, they do their part, don't point fingers at others and take responsibility for their own actions. How do you propose Canada force other countries to decrease their emissions if we can't even get a vast segment of our own population to give up wasteful and inefficient practices, such as heating 4000 sq. ft. houses for 3-4 people which is common, or driving a F-350's to work on a daily basis, which is also fairly common. If we had a lick of intelligence, conspicuous consumption would be an embarrassment, not a goal most people in our society endlessly pursue, egged on by Mega-Corp and the idiot box. Funny, new ads for electric pickups are starting to appear, and what do they promote? People ripping the living **** out of the natural environment. **** off Bambi, time to die!

  40. Can't throw a block peeling back toward your own endzone, even on special teams. Easy call and they'll call it 100% of the time. If he just takes up space there and doesn't throw the block it's fine.

When I volunteered 'coached' my son thru the years I always enjoyed taking my offense and defense suggestions to football guys like these three and seeing the middle veins on their foreheads pulsate more and more as I kept talking.

  45. Doesn’t seem like targeting/spearing has been a priority for the league to call at all this year. The over the pile spear is a tough one to call. Because the offensive player will do the exact same if they are close or the end zone or first down but short. Trying to submarine is worse too imo. It’s it’s people don’t see it and don’t worry about dts and centres like they do QBs. Idk how you make it better with out making short yardage truly instant. Other than adding yet another quirky abuseable difficult to manage rule like taking the yard off the ball away inside the 5 or on 3rd down.
