  1. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/samanthan-rideout-amputee-broken-foot-1.5184582 Well, that's absolutely horrifying.
  2. If the Bombers' defense can rattle him early, it'll be a long night for #7. And the home crowd should only exacerbate that.
  3. The Forks* (easily my favourite hangout in the city and a great place to show friends from out of town - the new outdoor portion of The Common is so damn good), Osborne Village, The Exchange District... Three places off the top of my head that have improved significantly in the last 10-15 years and each has something to offer for just about everyone (arts, entertainment, dining/drinking, shopping, etc.). Ethnic restaurants of almost every variety in just about every area of the city, as well as the explosion of craft breweries/brewpubs (OGC is my personal favourite - amazing menu and brews)... For anyone to claim Winnipeg hasn't changed, much less for the better, is simply being wilfully ignorant and/or unreasonable in their assessment. Put in the time to look; it's pretty easy to find whatever tickles your fancy. * if you haven't checked out CMHR, I highly recommend it - the museum itself is pretty incredible and ERA Bistro is absolutely excellent.
  4. Hahaha... More steaming bull turds from another shite website that's - go figure - linked to No Tricks Zone and The Heartland Institute. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/climate-change-dispatch/ It's so nice when you're not a participant in this thread.
  5. I'm sure a week of game film helps. The Bombers looked a bit rusty on the road last week, too. In any case, next week should be a good test for the home team.
  6. https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2019/06/18/jets-were-never-going-to-get-enough-for-trouba/ Some perspective.
  7. No way the captain gets moved at this juncture, regardless of his cap hit. I'm no fan of his contract but "whatever he becomes" remains to be seen at this point and he's still a major piece of this team.

  9. When were the Jets down 3-0 in the conference final last year? Rask is having himself a post-season. He's been outstanding this round.
  10. The irony of someone telling others they don't understand the topic at hand - while polluting this thread with content from trash websites and making statements without evidence. How embarrassing.
  11. You know you've suffered severe brain damage when your source for climate change information comes from a craptacular website like No Tricks Zone.
  12. We can't opine and/or criticize another country's political landscape because our own isn't any better...? What absurd logic. That's about as sensible as saying one can't criticize another political party when his own is just as worthy of criticism. If the criticism is valid, it surely can be discussed. Oh, and that quote regarding the poorly educated referred to his voters. ("We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated.")
  13. MB plans to go ahead with their challenge, too: https://winnipegsun.com/news/news-news/manitoba-to-proceed-with-federal-court-carbon-tax-challenge
  14. Nah. Just you. I suggest you look inward before spewing your crummy judgement at others. Oh, and BTW: the Jets made playoffs in Maurice's first full season here (2014-15). It continues to amaze me how often you get things wrong regarding the Jets while continuing to act like an insufferable know-it-all.
  15. Sure, Jim... It's your "friend" who wants that trade.
  16. Finally. Good riddance to you and your garbage posts.
  17. Yeah, your anecdotal evidence is sure-fire proof of anything. - Nobody Ever

  19. Yeah, he's a good goalie. Some of those saves were just absurd, though. That one on Perreault with the stick? 9/10 times that's a goal. I think the Jets figured him out yesterday, so I'm hoping that carries over into game 4. This whole situation reminds me a lot of what Hammond did for the Senators a few years ago.
  20. This is exactly where I'm at right now, too. But I think I'd allot at least 40 points to Berube personally, who's taught his team to play greasy when they're losing. Brayden Schenn in particular is a real pile of turds.
  21. I'm just glad the horseshoe finally fell out of Binnington's ass. That was long overdue.
  22. The perfect Winnipeg story doesn't exis- https://www.thestar.com/news/world/2019/04/11/canadian-man-who-accidentally-stole-a-car-and-took-it-on-a-slurpee-run-21-years-ago-wants-to-apologize.html
  23. Is there a prize for best post in this thread? I think @TrueBlue4ever is running away with top spot. Bravo!
