This is all because we let Bluto in here completely unchecked.....

  2. Like who? Willing to go on record that in hindsight you think MOS should have coddled Hajrullahu and not pursued Medlock? Seems to be who/what you're hinting at. Or are you talking about Rob Pikula? 🤣 Liegghio will be the option until there's a better one, and if he remains inconsistent he forces their hand to look at other options like they did with Castillo in 2021. There's no time to "grow" now. It's year 3 for Liegghio and he's on a team that expects to win. We know what Liegghio is capable of (especially as a punter) but like all positions on the field if he can't consistently meet the basic expectations and meet the standard he sets for himself too his career will be abbreviated.

  4. Agreed...when healthy I'd say Jeffcoat is the best all around end...let's see how this yr pans out...but I bet if he is out for extended time again this yr we let him walk in 2024 I also still think we see a kongbo reappearance this summer too ..which would be huge

  5. Leggz has improved each yr..and u have to remember he was what ..a 23 yr old kid when he arrived..and was basically tossed right into the fray ..I not overly concerned with the kicking game...let's revisit after game 6 before we start calling for his head Pretty sure we will have adequate d-tackle competition in camp this yr...we are quite set at db save for injuries and I would guess our starting 6 are already set...and we also have some prospects signed ..so that whopping amount we had last couple yrs when we were needing to replace 2..3..starters isn't an issue...so bring in the beef.

  6. Tackle is a way bigger issue than kicker... i feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Legs is fine and still developing. ******* hard gig following medlock.

  9. There's on a couple of CFL free agents I could see the Bombers having interest in, but will be heavily dependent on their willingness to play and play cheap/incentive laden. Bouka, DB national, you'll mostly know him from Sask. Has been a reasonable safety, played every position in Sask in that mess of a defense, would basically be here to cover kicks and provide depth, guy has a nose for the ball too, could see Richie Hall enjoying him being a ballhawk and a guy who can play all over. Coleman, American DL, veteran, has been one of the most disruptive guys in the league in his prime pre 2020, but appears to be well past it. Would be looking at him to be a rotational guy, play both inside spots, and play cheap with no guarantees. At this point he might be retired or looking into US spring leagues. Otherwise it'll be guys coming up from the US and draft picks.

  10. The CIS career leader in FG%.... and again this fan base wants immediate results and not letting a kid grow. This is how we end up with great kickers who started with us and ended up on other teams.

  11. And he failed us repeatedly in the biggest moments

  13. Lawler > Legghio I now have a complete understanding of the situation, and will from henceforth, critique only the nose tackle position.

  14. Every team has a weakness. With the Bombers right now it’s at kicker. Every other area of our team (including nose tackle which I’m sure they’ll fill adequately) is the top of, or near the top of the league. 10 years ago most of us who were on here then, would have been ecstatic with the team Walters has assembled for 2023. Even with an inconsistent kicking game. Heck, with our receiving core we may never have to kick FG’s anyway 😁

Stats: 34-20-1 @ 36-14-5 Streaks: L1 @ W1 Storyline: Jets next 8 games against playoff teams. Are they contenders or pretenders? Powerplay blender in effect.

Oh Bluto... that is one of the rider-faithful talking points... You are better than that. The ironic thing about that mall planter defiler- he was from Saskatchewan.

  22. I understand with new kickers that there will be growing pains but it has cost us games. I'm very excited for him if he can make a jump like he did from the year previous to last year this year but if not then he needs to be challenged in training camp.

  23. If Kongbo did come back this year he’d probably weigh 20 lbs more than when he left

That's what I fear. Not that I think that the Jets will get Timo, even though I think they should be in for him, but I wouldn't mortgage everything for him.

  30. Kicking is the least of our worries IMO. As has been stated almost ad neauseam ,we need a large punishing nose tackle.

  32. I rather the di spots go to receiver...linebacker...defensive line..not kicker...we went 15-3 with a still maturing Leggz...and didn't lose grey cup cause of him .. shouldn't even have been a close game...we sucked as a whole....based on putrid play ZC should be cut based on that thinking...he was god awful...but was also pretty much gonna be useless due to his injury...we as a team just don't use excuses so it's never been mentioned or touched on...he shouldn't even have been on field..but a wounded ZC was our best shot..

  33. 2022 scored 30 points a game and punted 5 times per game, kicked FG/PAT 5 times a game, kicked off 5 times per game. The only players on the team who touch the ball more than Liegghio are Collaros, whoever is at centre, Benson and sometimes Oliviera. They won't get too far into 2023 watching Liegghio struggle on place kicks again and we have the DI spot easily for an American kicker.

  34. Boateng is garbage. Sure situational rusher, but to have his name in the same sentence as a guy like Jeffcoat who is the top TFL guy in his era, as well as top pass rusher, as well as a guy who drops out and covers as well as any LB in this league...silly. Embrace the fact that you'll get to learn some new names. Not sure why so many people lack confidence in the exact same group of personnel people who have rebuilt this roster year after year with great players.

  35. When I read all the discussion about Legghio and punting I find myself thinking “Do we even need a punter this year?” I truly feel like we have enough offended weapons that we should be scoring on every possession.
    1 point
  36. Same and agreed ...100 percent sure leggz will be improved And as for kickers . Leggz just turned 26...that's a baby in kicker yrs..to give up now if foolish

It's the mark of a GM that knows that if his team doesn't make through the first round of the playoffs this year he is toast, and if he is fired he doesn't care what he left in the cupboard.

  39. This. You simply can't miss 8 extra points - it's not acceptable. Sure...they are 32 yards...but always from the middle of the field.

  40. I've watched the replay 100 times... it was starting left and fading back in. I'm fully confident in that. I absolutely have full confidence in Liegghio. Castillo was a worse kicker than ML last year. He had an awful year in Edmonton. And I hate using an American in that spot.

  41. Liegghio is so young.... have to let him grow. He's not a big issue, IMO.

  42. Yeah reads to me like a guy struggling with the decision to stay for what the Bombers can offer or take more money elsewhere but maybe not be as happy.

Yeah they're so lost they think they are enlightened but the way they all parrot the exact same talking points is all the evidence you need to see they're just idiots rejecting concepts they can't understand.

  47. Their worldview is broken because their brains are broken, despite the fact most label themselves as free-thinkers and truth-seekers. Critical thinking and coherent communication skills were ostensibly never cultivated and instead of seeing the world as an incredibly complex system of geopolitical and socioeconomic elements, "easy" answers generally made up of nonsensical conspiracy theories and opinions steeped in ignorance, delusion, fear, and manufactured outrage are the typical responses we see from them. And all social media has done is given every single one a platform to broadcast that garbage to the rest of the world. There's a reason they're called useful idiots. And we know who's taking advantage of their useful idiocy.

  48. I like having posters from other teams. I don't get why some of you get so butt hurt over it. Other teams have good players/seasons. It's ok to acknowledge it. DOesn't take anything away from our team.
