  1. One less trip to Regina is a nice bonus for the players too!

  2. Obvious choice here. Only Bomber I know of who has a stamp.

  3. If Thompson has another strong game, pretty sure he is a lock to start the season as the safety...and if he performs well there, and Maston is done for year...I wouldn't be shocked to see Alexander slot in at SAM if we struggle there. I'd like to see us tho groom Rene for that spot...prefect body type and skill set for it

  4. The players need rest too. That's a quick turnaround from Friday to Tuesday. MOS was uncertain about who they would field following the game Friday. I'm a bit surprised that Collaros won't even see a Quarter in pre-season but he must not need it. They just need to work their way back there in November.

Could be revamping it, its not really clear. Having a position for a manager would indicate something different is in the works. Still wondering how the $500,000 has been spent and how much of that went into Obby's pockets or his campaign. Coulda, woulda, shoulda I guess. PC party is fortunately making some rumblings of increasing the minimum wage, currently scheduled to bump up to $12.35 an hour in October I believe. With Sask raising their minimum wage we will be the lowest in Canada.

  7. Think Mancuso probably tagged for PR while Prukop playing for his roster spot and will be cut if he doesn’t earn it. Brown probably on roster or PR either way.

  8. Gray is better than you guys think. It was a choice for him to come back home to Winnipeg because Chelsea wanted him too. He was in Green Bay, Cleveland and then Seattle wanted him to stay there but he came home instead to have a better family life. He's no bubble player, he just needs his chance to be a starter.

  14. @blue_gold_84 what is going on is truly staggering. my 30 year old nephew And his wife just flew from regina to vancouver, simply to go to a concert. B.C. Government is promoting fracked gas, and lng. While...... B.C. In less than one year, 1. set a high temperature record, in litton, which broke the previous high, by a greater percent than any record in world history 2. had the flood that closed the transcansda, caused billions in damage, and I wonder if it it might be the most expensive event in our history. NDP - Green coalition. so, no sanity from any side. And most people havent got a clue about whats in store.

@blue_gold_84 Latest UN report. "That paper, ‘Pandemics, Climate Extremes, Tipping Points and the Global Catastrophic Risk – How these Impact Global Targets’, offers an in-depth scenario analysis of global collapse risks based on how human activities are transgressing planetary boundaries. The paper is authored by Thomas Cernev, a researcher at the University of Cambridge’s Centre for the Study of Existential Risk. It finds that the continuation of ‘business as usual’ and a failure to invoke drastic policy changes means that human civilisation is moving inexorably toward collapse. “From the scenario analysis… it is evident that in the absence of ambitious policy and near global adoption and successful implementation, the world continually tends towards the global collapse scenario,” it says." The consequences of what we are doing, and failing to do, is going to dwarf every prior series of human actions combined.

  16. we know what we have with our starters, and no need to risk any injury...i'ts a battle for a few spots...Rotational end...6th Olineman....a DB and the dime and Adams replacement on offence....so let em all get lottsa reps....and see who jumps out of the pack. I'm sure Rene is a lock on roster, so he gets to sit at home...same with Grey. I also wonder if Rene may be the guy who gets reps at corner, safety and the dime this yr once the season starts...with him and Ford we have some nice roster flexibility using a Canadian in a predominantly American role....May allow us this year to roster an additional Import receiver, or RB, the fact the 2 RB's can return makes it even more likely. Could allow Grant to take more of a role on offence...even if not the defacto starter, and am also looking forward to what O'Leary Orange can do....he was a draft pick I was super pumped about when drafted...

  17. Two time champs, don’t need our veterans to get hurt, Collaros has already played in the league for a decade he knows game speed, and has a lot of chemistry with his starting unit. I’m okay with it. Like really what does a quarter do anyways? Perfectly fine with it.

  19. Yep. Unlikely to be extradited for this you probably won’t hear about it or him up here again. and for all the talk about what went down, it doesn’t seem like a loss. Schoen Jackson and Grant are seemingly all ready to start.

  26. I don't think anyone counts Gray out. And to his credit, when he's in he's been very good. But "chance to start" is implying he hasn't been given an opportunity to win starting jobs...when he has. And has not been able to win those jobs.

  27. No issues with the roster from where I sit. The powers that be obviously feel very comfortable with 90-95 per cent of the team. Fingers crossed for good showings from Schoen and B-O-O.

It is going to get worse in the US. Average family income is falling as is literacy. The rich as getting richer, the middle class is getting wiped out, and the poor are getting poorer and more desperate.

I used to run retail stores. More higher end stores like flag ship western Canadian stores and I got out of the industry because retail management jobs weren’t paying that great they were starting to get cheap. I was making around 45 k a year which is on high end of a retail spectrum but I got out of the industry right as the pandemic was starting and now make significantly more in a customer service role with a marketing company, never would go back. It seemed like most companies wanted to pinch pennies. Even at the places where I was making decent money they wouldn’t let me reward lower management or employees with anymore more then 12, or 13 bucks an hour. Put a strain on retaining quality employees.

$27,000 a year for a job category that according to other job sites that have links at the bottom of the ad pay $34,000+, with many at the 44,000+ Obby is a scum bag.

  45. Re: Saunders' culpability is irrelevant. Being associated with a player accused of domestic violence when part of league branding is standing up against it is hypocritical. I have no problem with his release. Part of being a football player is being in the public eye, rightly or wrongly, they are often held to a higher standard than the rest of us.
