Looking forward to being at IG Field and watching the defending champs tonight.

Like Christmas day that we've waited for almost 2 years. Can't wait to see them raise the banner right in front of Hamilton's faces. The wait is finally over,the stadium atmosphere is going to be unbelievable. GO BOMBERS GO!!!!

Ahh yes the appeal to authority. I ain't saying lapolice us an idiot, just that he isn't as brilliant as his reputation and it is because of his passive play not to lose approach. The best games lapo calls are when he’s down by multiple scores late and the worst when he is up by multiple scores. How many times does he put the brakes on his own offense after a hot start? Look at all those games when he was head coach where the team played just well enough to barely lose. That is who Lapo is. I can out on a wig and big red nose and explain it to you if you like.

To be fair though... the 2019 Grey Cup run was WOn on the shoulders of that dominant D, not because of Lapo's offensive playcalling. To Be more fair though... it's because of the DOMINANT D and the team, in all phases, were playing complimentary football.

And I picked up Paul Friesen’s “Against All Odds” book yesterday detailing the Grey Cup run from the acquisition of Collaros at (and almost after) the trade deadline, Streveler’s injury and rehab from what should have been a season ending injury, a flu bug that hit the team Grey Cup week, and the emotions of the players during and after each of the 3 playoff games. A very good inside look at just how much lined up right for the team during that 7 week span, and how much luck, circumstance, grit and will falls into place on any championship run, no matter how good the team is. Lots of inside info I had no idea about, an excellent companion to Tait’s book.

Let's not forget that Collaros is a really good QB. Focus on his fragility but don't forget he makes plays and slings the ball like very few in this league.

I have been going to games for 40 years, and I don’t remember the last time I have been so looking forward to attending a game (see the Kickoff Countdown). The championship banner, the season opener, and a lost year to the pandemic have made this one extra special.

I'd go out on a limb and say that although Buck is a rookie OC, he's had enough time as an assistant coach to know what he's doing. I've said it before in another thread (or possibly this one), a few years back, every time Buck was up in the booth calling plays, the team did really well. I'm not worried at all about how he'll do, and in fact, I'm very excited to see what his offence looks like. I think it's going to be exciting to watch.

Love that this has been pretty much the only cooler day all summer. Suppose to be about 20 degrees and sunny at kick off. Can’t ask for much better weather for football then that. None of this 30 plus weather we’ve had all summer! Should be a great day for football.

I'm having troubles processing that I will get on a bus and go to a stadium to watch a football game tomorrow. It's emotional already and that's before they unveil the banner.

McGuire with live reps will be fine...especially with this O-line...his is soooo skilled of sitting in the pocket and finding guys. Has the best arm I've seen in Bomberland in...like forever. His pocket presence and poise is amazing and he is a friggin bull..I know exactly why team is high on him and made sure he was coming back.

Patience. Remember this is still just a glorified preseason game. This year more than any the real season won't start until labour day
