Further info from the league website just in case anyone forgot... The 2024 CFL Draft will take place on Tuesday, April 30 at 8:00 p.m. EDT and feature 74 selections over eight rounds. The Edmonton Elks currently hold the first overall selection, followed by the Ottawa Redblacks and Saskatchewan Roughriders. The CFL’s Global Draft will take place earlier that same day at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Rookie camps across the country will open on May 8 with teams being required to reduce their rosters to 85 players (excluding non-counters) by May 11. Training camps will open on May 12 with teams needing to reduce their rosters to 75 players (excluding non-counters) by May 14. Training camps will conclude on June 1.

Spotters need to pull Butler (Sask at #1) & Lewis (Edmonton at #2) to check for concussions.

For whatever reason, I feel like I’d really lost sight of how many interesting prospects the Bombers brought in this off-season. Not too worried about the massive amounts of WR or DB, that’ll sort itself out with reps but I do appreciate some of these names … real high calibre guys being brought up here. 5 names to watch in my obviously incredibly educated opinion: WR KJ Hill, DE John Waggoner, DT Jamal Woods, DB Travon Fuller, DB Juan Lua Bonus name, I think it’s a foregone conclusion he’s QB3: Eric Barriere Bonus name if Janarion Grant doesn’t come back: WR Aron Cruickshank

Wade would be an interesting choice, but I don't want to lose him from the Bombers.

The plaintiff could lose the civil or criminal case and the CFL could still decide that what happened has violated their code of conduct policies.

Their case manager/boss is Mike Kelly, and all of their targets are "handled internally". When someone needs to be liquidated, it's a "non-issue".

I think Stanback is completely shot, he's not the same guy as he was 3 - 4 years ago. That is a big drop off.

So glad someone brought up Keytaon Thompson I think he is a sleeper to stick around! This highlight tape has a ton of him playing wildcat QB and I wonder if Buck wanted this guy because he can do so many different things with the ball in his hands. Fun player to watch I'm excited about him

Specific but different reasons. KJ Hill has a very very similar profile to Austin Mack which is an exciting thought. As far as Waggoner, any Iowa defender is going to pique my interest plus all the academic and coaches selection awards in college give him a big “O’Shea guy” type feel. Fuller I followed on the Bills roster a bit and he’s a long rangy shutdown corner type, could be a productive guy up here if he picks up the nuances well enough. Lua is SUPER young (22) and didn’t even go through the NFL draft process, but he’s a versatile defender that could play a lot of different roles on our D. Finally, Woods is a guy they’ve had neg-listed for quite some time - couple that with them usually having a good eye for the DT types they like and I’m interested to see him in camp.

If that disaster of a playoff game ends up being Chad Kelly's last pro game I will laugh so hard...

Like any good mob boss, he already (allegedly) runs the show from the background. I doubt he would want to change that.

If true my unhealthy hate of the Argos and Leafs gets me thinking if this had been any other team outside of Ontario the Commissioner might not be as dismissive. My guess is the longer this drags out with no resolution increases the chances of CK walking away from the CFL. That might be best.

I don’t think any one has 3 more talented QBs or a better set of QBs going into camp in the league.

Really good pick up. He made a Vikings team that had a good group of WRs, as a wr. He was a good kr in college, but isn’t a kr that plays wr. He’s a wr that does kr for touches. Great hands, attacks the ball and makes catches in the smallest windows. Yeah, I think a lot of people took it as him saying something sexist about the basketball player, but all I got out of it was that he was shitting on the CFL. At any rate, he's a tool and the sooner he leaves the league, the better.

Though I think as many as 5 of those will be nfl bound for now. That still is good for us who need to stock the cupboard but don’t necessarily need a body in camp this year. I think Duguay is better than the 7th best ol, but it is a strong top heavy group. I’m thinking 2-3 of those guys never reach the cfl. A couple more could be 2-3 year waits as well. Man it could be a huge power shift if a team can get 2-3 of those guys too. If I was a middling team I’d be trying to pack picks in the middle 1st to early 3rd to try and hoard some of those ol.

How does McInnis replace Whitehead? He was there last year too no? Stanback doesn’t replace Rhymes, they play different positions. Ciante Evans is maybe a slight upgrade over Edwards-Cooper, if Evans doesn’t decline due to age. Can Stove even play? If he can then yeah, that’s an upgrade. I still don’t see how BC’s off-season does anything to rank them above the Bombers, Montreal or Toronto. On another note, with the GC being played in Vancouver, get ready for it you guys. TSN is going to slobber all over the Lions like nothing we’ve ever seen.

Fallout on Amazon was great. The props, sets, costumes and effects were incredibly detailed and almost totally faithful to the aesthetic of the video games that inspired the show. The gore is intentionally silly without spoiling the action, the doe eyed 'Ned Flanders in the Apocalypse' protagonist bit never wears thin, plenty of comedic actors like Johnny Pemberton, Michael Rapaport, Chris Parnell and others filling out the side-cast and keeping the wasteland fun and wacky like it's meant to be. Between this and The Righteous Gemstones I'm becoming a Walton Goggins fan

Legit contenders back tonight. last couple weeks we dominated the 2 best teams in the league in their rinks and won. Dallas and NYR. lost to garbage teams. Streaking. Best overall game since the rangers win. stanley and samberg were very good together today. Stanley making a case.

All the combine testing does is show who is serious about moving to the next level. If you're an OL walking into a combine where you can't do 20 reps of 225....you're showing that you're not willing (or able) to do the work to be a pro. Now if you have tremendous film you'll probably get a chance to prove that wrong. If the film is meh, the testing is meh, the on field stuff is meh, you're done.
