  5. Imagine going all in on Cody Fajardo! To the point you don't let a healthy collaros back on the field and give him away for nothing directly leading to winnipeg winning back to back grey cups. Oh man that's good stuff.

  7. Nah. Wolitarsky is huge when they go to max protect. Bailey and Agudosi are nice pieces but they are well down my list in terms of down after down guys that need to always be on the field. If all those guys are healthy you're basically rotating Bailey, Agudosi, maybe Ellingson and Schoen even to get them a few snaps off per game so they can go 110% when they are on the field, but basically Bailey/Agudosi would be a platoon for me with Wolitarsky, Ellingson, Demski, Schoen being out there most plays.

  8. https://www.amazon.ca/Unbreauxken-Story-Delvin-Breaux/dp/057880879X He went to the NFL after playing in Hamilton and got totally screwed over by the New Orleans Saints. Good insight into what football players have to face in both leagues. I highly recommend this book.

  9. did anyone catch the real crucial block that Woli threw on the Bailey TD? Montreal blitzed their halfback and he was headed at Collaros untouched at full sprint -- Woli, who is on the other side of the formation, books it across the line to get there just in time to steer the HB away. If ZC is one-on-one with the blitzing halfback that's probably not a touchdown. meanwhile ZC is completely undistracted by all this. He does a little matador step away, emerges untouched from the potential pileup, and spies Bailey for 7. Just a real great team play. I can't believe how good at football the Bombers are.

  11. One important thing to remember was that Zach was ready to come back from his injury when the Riders traded him. And with Fajardo flying by that point, we would have been relentless with the "Who's the QB?" "What about that throw? Does that tell you it's time to go back to Zach?" "How can you take a job from a guy because of injury?" As many have pointed out, the return wasn't great. But I think part of it is that the Riders wanted needed it done quickly.

  14. That would jive with what I have been told by my neighbour who was a kicker with the Argos when O'Shea was the Special Teams guy there. He just wants to coach young men and send them into battle to win. That's it. To put this in military terms, he wants to be with his boys in the trenches. He doesn't want to be 100 miles away deciding which boys get sent to their deaths while he gets to be far away from the action. O'Shea is a frontline guy, right in the heat of the action with his troops. That will never change. And that's why his boys love him.

  15. In fairness to the Riders (holy **** kill me now for saying that...) virtually everyone thought Collaros was done. At the time it didn't seem like a big deal that they cut bait with him. It's nothing short of a miracle that he's revived his career to where it is now...

Well the reality is these people are here to stay, they've always hung around the fringes but now they have a stronger voice so they feel more empowered. All we can hope is they remain a shameful minority in the background and don't swell in popularity as they have in the US were idiocy freely abounds, as we have a clear window to the ****-show people of that ilk have been able to create. Could happen here if we don't hang on tighter to our unique Canadian identity and scream back f*ck no!

  19. Media played God..... judge, jury and executioner for Harris. SB getting ****** because national media wanted to give a Lifetime Achievement Award to Van Zeyl is one of all time Schenley travesties.... Having said all of that, it all provided extra motivation for a team of underdogs to walk in and absolutely molly-whop the Cats in what turned out to be a (more or less) home game for the Bombers...

  23. If everyone is healthy, I’m not rolling Agudosi out in my 5 receiver sets. He’s got a spot, but our receivers are all just so so good at what they do. I’m not taking Bailey or Drew out, they’re too important as blockers.

So, if we reject a progressive agenda in every way, then we can satisfy the nutjobs so they won't destroy our country? I think the best thing for Canada long term is that PP wins the leadership and gets absolutely destroyed in the election. Show that group of clowns that there is no place in Canada for that type of politics and perhaps we can put that to bed for a few decades. The stuff I'm seeing in the US right now, which seems absurdity bordering on satire, seems like the logical path if PP gets any power federally. I saw this as well since my family is in the area. It was/is? at Centre of Canada park. When I passed in the morning it was only a few vehicles, but it grew considerably by the time I came back in the late afternoon. I was really tempted to join in with my truck and push the "Freedom" message to its full extent. One side of my truck covered with abortion-rights slogans and the other covered with anti-private property slogans. Maybe throw in some LGBTQ+ rights slogans on the hood and back of the truck. See how those arguments go over with the freedom-loving crowd.

I believe that what you see as divisive politics by the Liberals is mostly hysteria generated by the newly-energized right wing nutjobs which have a disproportionate influence on both the PCs and media, giving them a much larger profile that their numbers warrant. The Trudeau government has enforced the existing laws about public health and safety (the mask/vaccination stuff) but the final choices were made by the provincial governments. As far as I can tell, the federal government has not gone out of its way to antagonize people, right-wing or not. There are bottlenecks in government services, both federal and provincial and there appear to multiple reasons for that, some beyond government control. The small but vocal and sometimes unhinged minority in Canada (and elsewhere) are having hissy-fits because they are not getting their way, and often for good reason. The trucker infestations in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Alberta are examples- they wanted all COVID measures repealed instantly and for the federal government to be overturned without due process. The economic situation such as high housing prices has been here before and looks to be cyclical. The measures required to correct it are probably unpalatable to most (eg: some cities in Europe require that houses must be sold to the city and bought from them, and have kept housing prices way down). In the meantime, the rich are getting richer and the poor are disproportionally taxed. Yes it is, and appears to have been born out of the frustration related to the lack of response to the trucker occupations in Ottawa, Winnipeg and Coutts, Alberta.

  31. My favourite part was when he signed late in the off-season… in his initial conversation with reporters he said he was exhausting all his nfl opportunities before coming back to the bombers… he seems like a guy that everyone loves… afaic as long as he’s a productive player… he’ll have a place on our team

  32. Yes of course. I am reading Delvin Breaux's autobiography and it's pretty eye opening in terms of how the CFL and NFL treat their players. The CFL seems to allow players to get healthy while the NFL just wants to send everyone out injured, to get even more injured, because it's basically just a meat grinder and they have hundreds of other guys waiting to step in. Interesting take and a good look on the CFL.

  34. He can’t throw in our out of the pocket Media plays favourites. Stanley Bryant was the best OL that year as well. They just didn’t want to give it to him because he just won it. Instead they give it to Van Zeyl as some sort of career recognition award.

  35. I don't care what the awards said, Andrew Harris was the Most Outstanding Player in the CFL in 2019, and you will never change my mind. That season, from Game 1 to the Grey Cup, is one of the most dominant seasons for a RB that we'll ever see. He was incredible that year, running, receiving, and blocking.

  36. Literally the only reason he was the west MOP was because all the other qbs got hurt and some self righteous media types decided to punish Harris for the drug test. The fact he was west MOP is a giant ******* joke. Back to the decontamination room for you.
