Went for a visit to the Mantario hiking trail unfortunately right when there was a fire ban and the trails were closed. Lousy government denying me the right to burn to death miles from the nearest hospital. This is fascism in action. Buncha commies!

  4. Pro day times are very unreliable indeed. Aside from obvious bias issues, they are virtually all manual timed. The loose rule of thumb when converting manual times to electric is you add .175 to the manual time. So his 4.47 fast manual time turns into a 4.65 electric time. Which is right where he was predicted to fall before his proday, 4.6 to 4.7. The faster manual time came as a pretty good surprise from every thing I can see. His pro day was generally considered to be more athletic than was expected, but he seems like he's never had the track refining. The difference between guys in pro days and combines who have trained for track and field or in a program like chris carter's FAST, and those who haven't is pretty big. Thats hitting the nail on the head with the hammer. He is very much a lawler esq wr. Big, more than enough athleticism, extremely polished with great hands. He kicked around the NFL for a good bit, and it wasn't based on size or athleticism. Though they are both good, especially for the CFL. If he had played for a decent passing offense in college he probably would've been a mid to late NFL pick.

  8. Guy was a Bomber employee. And, he's right. Ambrosie danced around the question and would not provide a definitive answer. I'll gladly take Arash over Farhan and Dave, who told us the CFL would be merging with the XFL and couldn't survive on its own. And, they're still pushing 4 downs. Not because it's good for the CFL but because it's good for their careers.

The Republicans who have remained silent while their colleagues have spewed vile racist, misogynist hateful statements with Fox News amplifying and validating their hatespeech are as guilty as the perpetrators. Someone said that the hottest part of Hell is reserved for those who, in times of crisis, say and do nothing.

No I’m actually being serious. Where are they because of course I know their there and they’re sane but it seems they are being drowned out by the craziness and unfairly guilty by association. There are sane good people all over the political spectrum. That’s who I want to be associated with.

  16. I honestly don't see Arash as a CFL reporter. Sportsnet has him doing everything else and he does little bits. I see him as a jaded fan of the league. And, he's a Vikings fan, so he's used to being disgruntled about football.

  17. 100% this. I'm the biggest CFL fan you'll ever meet, just as some of you are, but I don't need a guy that's always pumping their tires. I just want the honest truth, and more often than not, Madani presents that. Does he have a negative tone, largely due to a poor relationship with Ambrosie? Yes, and that gets tiresome, but he DOES break news and he's yet to be deliberately dishonest about his insider info, from all that I can tell.

  25. My recommendation.... don't go to DQ at all. The quality of the ice cream is absolutely terrible. Visit the local small shops and you will have significantly better "blizzards" that use real ice cream and they also have a wide variety of toppings. The high content of water in the ice cream basically makes anything from DQ melt the instant that they give it to you. Meanwhile when I go to Sweet Tops, Sub Zero, Cool Encounters.... it doesn't turn into a wet mess within seconds. My kids can actually eat cones without me needing to grab 20 napkins lol.

  28. And, Willie has said the same thing about other players that leave. He wasn't happy when Lucky went to BC but he looked plenty happy hoisting the GC.

  29. Oh boy as in yet another shitty Friesen article? Willie said the exact canned phrases that any pro player would say about a departed teammate. Also Friesen is going to make something out of one guy leaving town and yet ignore the fact that this team has signed an insane amount of guys to extensions.

Confirmed I used to work at McD's years ago and they did the same with the milkshakes and used some other nasty substitute for real milk and offered "triple thick shakes" that taste like crap. McD's ice cream isn't great but at least it stays somewhat consistent. We used to go to Dairy Queen during our break for work and it didn't matter if it was hot or cold outside the moment anyone would get a cone or anything it would instantly start running and melting. The Blizzards are the same way in which it becomes soup within 5 minutes. Meanwhile when I go to Sweet Tops on Henderson Hwy and then drive home 15 minutes away... the ice cream is still perfect and my blizzard remains in a solid form until I eat the whole thing. With DQ it's a race against time where you basically have to drink it because it's so watery.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this seems about the best time for Finland to join NATO. Russians are already fighting a war they had tons of time to prepare for, but obviously didn't do a good job. They are somewhat weakened and I can't imagine they'd be able to put together a solid plan of attack for Finland without considerable time, especially while under increasingly harsh sanctions. It seems like Russia's invasion of Ukraine has really backfired. Instead of weakening NATO, it has done the opposite. More nations are now looking to NATO for protection as they realize what happens without it. The nations currently in NATO have strengthened their bond and defenses more than I can recall as well.

  44. obviously that's a high standard but not really the point I'm making... this stuff is awesome but does it translate to ability on the field.... at no point did I ever say he was not a good football player So to clarify, I'd also happily take him on my team if he was reliably getting 500 yards and 5 TDs yearly ... or now for that matter... athletic Canadians, especially U of M grads, are always good in my books

I can't understand how that is even possible, but maybe because the 4th never ended when the 5th picked up....and we were never really out of the 5th when the 6th picked up steam. Governments across the country (especially Con ones) are killing as many people as necessary in order to not inconvenience the mouth breathing base....

  48. I really appreciate the people pushing new, independent media outlets for CFL fans. From your podcast, to darren bauming, to some of the great stuff 3dn and 3 down development are doing. Seems like every time I see 13th man sports and the other facebook one it's always low quality articles. I hope they continue to grow and get better but man some times its almost as bad as TSNs PBP.
