I saw Kyle Walters at my son's school track meet today near the stadium. Judging strictly by what he was focusing on, he values small frames and 3" verticals.

The decision making from our staff just continues to be baffling. We are on pace to finish training camp without our starting week 1 offence having ever worked together even once. I don’t know if it’s ignorance or arrogance or what, but it’s frustrating

If you think Edmonton needed 6 minutes of being on the clock and two commercials to make their pick, I got a bridge to sell you. The only time these teams use the clock is when there are calls being made to/from other teams. Otherwise, they could probably bang the draft out in two-three hours.

Honestly would rather have a well-rounded guy. Lawler, Demski and Schoen are vertical threats. There's not going to be much use for another. Saw that even with someone like Agudosi. Limited usefulness down the route tree and can't make a team. If they want speed it better be a guy who can be useful in intermediate and do something after the catch.

For the amount of balls they are gonna see with Lawler/Schoen/Demski/BO and Woli in the offence I not seeing it as a super vital spot anyway...I hope we use it to roster a huge upside guy....someone who can really rip the top off a defence actually....Something we havn't really had here in a long time.

while Biggie is out....and hopefully he is for the full 6 minimum I'd like to see Moses get the shot at the MLB and Petrishen as one the DI's for teams and rotation....let Moses jump right in, and if he falters a bit...flip him and Petrishen around. I don't wanna see it handed to Gauthier as thats in no way preparing anyone for next yr, you can't see what you have with the new blood and really is a step backwards. I hope we see Moses/Petrishen or Moses/Gemmel right out of the shoot. I'd even go as far if BA isnt ready to delare Safety and Corner canadian spots, and for first game role with Clericus as #5 on offence. That would allow us to have our 15 imports with an all Imort Dline and one end who isnt a DI...Then use the 4 DI's with Castillo...a LB...returner(Hopefully Smith forversatility) ...and either another DB or WR.of whom can also return With Hallett..Kelly...Karamoko (who can sub in for an injured Canadian) we would have enough coverage there and and could freely sub in a DI on defence.

If we’re living out our dreams, I’d prefer we just get the second coming of Mike Sellers into our starting lineup and run 4 receivers and 2 running backs.

7 or 8 guys rotating through the DL. That's what worked in 2019 and 2021. Lack of that hurt the past 2 seasons. Just wear down the opposing team.

Brady has moved from the injured veteran list to the active roster. At least he wasnt moved to the 6 game injured list.

It's a league problem though too. Be interesting to see how games look first little while. Used to have basically a full week after preseason #2 with cuts then a full game week. Bombers will probably have team in place Sunday-Monday....season opener Thursday. The timelines are silly. Kind of US spring league-esque.

I don’t really think we need a playmaker out there. Block, find the soft spots in coverage, be sure handed and that’s all I really hope for. We’re talking about the fifth option in our offense at best here, right? Need those details more than I need a 1000 yard threat.

Yeah, lots could still shake down funny. But I think Kramdi and karamoko will end up being back up dbs, with the healthy ish hallet + kelly and how ever S shakes down. OL we won't be running 3 imp ol imo, so DI's really come down to backs, wrs, dl, lbers and of course sergio has one spot locked up. The biggest area of need I see is kick cover. We need some killers on that squad. I'm hopeful the batch of imp Lbers will help with that. I don't know if he retired or what, but Carelton Agudosi would actually be a great fit for the last wr spot. He was really feast or famine as a WR, but as a big strong guy who can do a lot on teams, he'd be really valuable. Plus being a package guy for some Iso fade type plays. I'm sure he won't be in the picture but he could really fill a great niche for us. I would also consider rolling 6 OL, or an 11 formation with an end on the RTs side to help with blocking. Especially until the line meshes with all the changes.

Picked up my season ticket package today and my kids Gold Club package for their 5 game pack... was kind of surprised that they each got a pair of free tickets for the preseason game. Was going to add that game anyways but the fact you can use those tickets ANYWHERE is pretty neat. They've been agitating about wanting to sit down in the lower bowl so now they finally can.

Personally i don't think it matters, any experience for your child and less stress for you schedule wise works. A regular training camp practice can be boring as well for a lot of fans. 😊

I'd give the starters 2..maybe 3 series with ZC and then park them..they already know the playbook and system and just need a few reps to knock of the rust and recalibrate the timing at game speed Some the excess db's and wr are more for looks at returner now as opposed to the #5 spot...I think it's a final audition for Wilson..Mitchell..Johnson and Vann for that 5 spot. I think Smith is the likely front runner for the return job and offensive Swiss army knife...especially if BO is not 100 percent..or they may want to ease him in...Smith offers just too much versatility to ignore...and is prob one the most explosive guys in camp...hope we go that route

Guarantee O'Shea saying same thing on 30 of these guys. These camps are way too big. Have a goddamn rookie camp and then have an actual camp where you build your team from 65-70 guys to play in the season.

Mos was saying today he is optimistic that Brady will be practicing for week 1. Im torn on Zach. Normally he takes a half. He was far from his best in the play offs again. If he’s sitting I expect him to not be rusty to start week 1. I do like the idea of strevy having say a half with team 1/2. And another quarter and a half or so for Wilson and some reps for Grainger too.

I was just looking at our roster and there are easily 5 or 6 names I have not heard mentioned once all training camp. anybody got any idea if Demetries Ford is a real person? Or Patrick Rogers? Or Larnel Coleman?

IT IS stupidity really....especially with unlimited roster at home....One those QB's will be number 3...and not see the field....so tons of time to evaluate them....Also, we may just dress 2 anyway with Strev being the short yardage and backup...which would allow us to throw on another Global, or national who would give more depth on ST if anything meh...If they can play...and know their sh!t I not worrid..Hallett hardly a rookie...Kelley has a yr.....And those new LB's ooze talent, and their athleticsism can make up more than enough what Biggie brigs with Knowledge....Wilson and even Nichols...can have them qued and tell them whats going on. I would be salivating thinking of a trio like Wilson/Moses/Cole an their sideline tosideline ability working behind what I expect is a revigorized WJ causing havoc with 2 active hungry ends, who are having a pocket collapse from the likes of Fox and whoever wins that second import DT spot...

Johnny Petrishen Just think...one week from today they'll be in a game prep practice. And between now and then they need to cut like 30 players.

They'll probably have a couple guys on practice roster plus a couple Canadians. Probably would want one guy who is a Lawler body type on PR. I don't see a ton of value to have a vertical for the sake of being vertical guy receiver on the roster like Lapolice always tried to force in...but especially with our core group, doesn't fit.

it just shows how small the margin for error is in the playoffs. That PP goal by Florida to win it was a thing of beauty, I watched it like 10 times trying to figure out how the Florida guy got so open to shoot like that.

I was laughing hysterically last night watching Blake Wheeler cough up the puck Ehlers-style on the Florida blue line after fumbling a pass, then watching him chug back and take the stupid hooking penalty he always took when he was in Winnipeg, then Florida scores on the subsequent power play from Wheeler's dumb actions to win in OT. Oh man it was like deja-vu all over again.

You are misremembering. Nikolaj Ehlers has 4 goals, 10 assists and a plus-minus of -9 in 37 games in the playoffs in his career. 14 points in 37 games. In no way did he ever go beast mode in any playoff game. He’s one of the playoff problems. When the games get tough he folds. To put this into perspective here’s Scheifele Mark Scheifele has 21 goals, 17 assists and a plus-minus of -2 in 42 games in the playoffs in his career.

Or atleast make it decent TV. I don't think the draft speed is an issue for front offices, they are prepared to the hilt. (Or are going to have a trash draft any way.) Agree. And no more of this 2 day draft bs. Except for the MLB. Doing 2 full rounds and 2 compensatory rounds in one day then the other 18 another is fine.

The way I see it breaking down right now is that we have 2 HB (Nichols and Holm) and a safety (BA) locked in, plus a very likely field CB (Ford). That leaves 11 American DBs competing for 2 spots (boundary CB and backup/dimeback). At receiver it's even tighter... There is probably only one spot available on the active roster... Maybe two, if one of them is also a returner. The Bombers still have eight receivers competing for those spots. Assuming our starters play a quarter+ in the second preseason game, it's going to be hard for some of these guys to even get a chance to play.

That's a real hitch, right there...... We lost at least 3 games last year, when the DL wore down late, because of roster issues........it drove me nuts.

I'd be happy with a 2 American DT+WJ+Habba+Garbutt+Thomas+Schmekel DL rotation to start the year.

Like I said before...I take requests....and do have time to spare this week Like I said since last yr...Save for WJ that I always thought Garbutt brought the best overall skill set at end....man I just hate that Jackson waste all yr as he would have been so much further along if he had 12..16 games already under his belt...Haba too

I don’t know, they could have a decent D I guess but I think McCheese is the worst starting QB in the league. Once teams take away their running game, I just don’t see that offence being able to keep up with anybody. As far as the Riders go, coaching alone should garner them a couple more wins than last year, and I don’t see them being particularly worse in any area. They have a fairly solid receiver corps, and the Mace D will be average at worst imo. Harris isn’t going to win them a championship or anything but I see them as being above both Alberta teams right now. Solid middle tier team imo.
