Was at the Jets game tonight. Every time I go to a Jets game, I wish I had gone to 3 Bomber games instead. Maybe I just don't like hockey as much as I thought I did.

Yes of course any team can win on any given day... but here's few stats to chew on over the last three seasons... - Bombers coming off a bye: 7-0... 9-0 if you include playoffs - Bomber against Edmonton: 7-0 - 2021 first place clincher against BC: Bomber 45 - Lions 0 - 2022 first place clincher against Edm: Bombers 48 - Elks 11 I like their chances... despite all the legitimate reasons to be nervous...

And, the veiled threats last year didn't help.

Was at the game tonight and the Jets need to start looking at what the Bombers are doing there is no comparison between the two. Also, I got a hot dog and bottled drink it was $17 at IG Field I could have got 4 hot dogs and a large drink for that price.

Late season Bombers or early season Jets...it's a no brainer.

TNSE has never had to work and actually attract fans and it shows.

A lot of comments are concerning our receivers...IF Schoen is out that's not great BUT we do have other guys who can get it done....Demski,Woli, Lawler and Rasheed and Bolo (if he gets a shot)....AND then there's the force I don't think the Elks can handle at all, and that comes in the form of a bulldozer named Brady O...When we start rolling the antler guys are going to have their hands full....I don't like their chances at staying with us, with as much as we have on the line ...Take them out early and don't let up....

agreed. I honestly find NHL hockey to be fairly boring. Especially live.

The Jets are so obviously poorly run compared to the Bombers. They have won absolutely nothing yet barely make changes. I'm not even asking for a Stanley Cup parade, they never look like they'll make significant improvement as a fringe playoff team. They are a treadmill team and I think unfortunately the attendance reflects that.

I won't spend money on the Jets because you can't count on how they will play. Last time I went, they just didn't care and the game was horrible. Ticket and concession prices don't reflect the effort that the team (organization and players) puts in.

Simple facts are the NHL is ******* expensive... it's no wonder that as people are seeing their disposable income shrink that places like nhl arenas will be the first to feel it.

Running QBs scare me given how much success they've had against us. Teams with nothing to lose scare me. I just want a win Saturday so we clinch and I can relax.

The biggest weakness is the two inside defensive linemen. Those positions need to be upgraded to guys who get a consistent push and can run stop. A national at one of those positions is almost a must to help ratio. The guys on the roster are not getting it done. Drafting a national prospect at one of those positions, or getting a worthy national vet in FA is a must in the offseason. For the other position, if this were going to be a serious cup run year, someone fitting the bill should have been brought in after NFL cuts. They are not getting consistent pressure unless they blitz and that will be their undoing in the playoffs. Blitzing worked against BC last time in the 2nd half, but don't count on it to work next time.

Final answer: Never.

The NHL tries to create artificial excitement with pre-game sound and light shows, which is annoying as hell. All they need to do to make hockey the greatest game again is do away with the grinders, open up the game by expanding to Intl. sized ice or reduce players on the ice to 4. Bring back that high-flyin' 80's hockey.

Going from 11,500 to 14,000 may be a 21% increase but its still a lousy crowd.

Brent Bellamy was on Twitter commenting on the small crowds at Jets games. People were explaining why they wouldn't go anymore...typical stuff like too expensive, boring game experience, mediocre hockey team, downtown safety etc etc....and he would just brush them all off as "that's a weird excuse" "That wouldn't be a problem in a real hockey town" or something along those lines and it just exemplified the Jets organization to me. I know he doesn't work for True North, but the entitlement that they have with peoples money....like..."we're here, you HAVE to come watch! and if you don't you're not a real fan!"

Hopefully JSK has grown tired of losing in Ottawa and decides to come back home.

It just amuses me to use kramdi instead of cram it. But yes I have wondered why they aren't taking the opportunity to go 4 imports across the DL with a NI at linebacker. Could create some real havoc.

yeah we need a dominat inside guy...Walker would/is a good compliment...but he not a dominant guy game in...game out If Moustafa Johnson is a FA this yr I would go hard at him...wouldnt break bank his next deal...and I bet would raise havoc with the Jeffs...Ideally tho I want our scouts to prioritize big athletic DY=T's and even a true nose to win the spot(s) next year. I am fine with Lawson as our Canadian main guy....he would really kill it with a dominant interior sidekick, if we choose to start a Canadian there, but we could set up our roster to not even need a Canadian guy there other than rotation....and hope we go that route...No way with FA coming up...winter scouting and the draft that Thomas..Schmeckle should even be at camp next yr, let alone on roster...Same with Bennett....he already gonna be what...28?...and is nowhere near starter material

Maybe. But the NHL season is 82 games long and even the best teams don't show up sometimes. And fan engagement at hockey games is **** tier. Fans play a real part in a football game

Yeah, I was able to walk into my Shoppers Drug Mart without an appointment & got both my flu & Covid shot at the same time yesterday.

We lost to the Riders, Ti Cats & the RedBlacks all with rookie qbs. Yet, let's keep thinking the Elks have no chance. They do. We have to play hard the next 2 games to make sure we wrap up first place & have the WDF played at IG Field. Nothing is a guarantee.

The only thing that is going to cure attendance issues is winning. True north needs to put a product on the ice that people want to watch.

I'd like to see Parker stay in over Houston but I bet Houston goes back in and we see Hallett at S, so we can start even more Canadians. Not loving McCrae as a starter either, would rather see BOLO.

I've had 5 shots and each time the person administrating the shot told me to relax the arm, just a little sore at the injection site is what I've experienced. Wife on the other hand gets sick like clockwork the next day

I know Bob Dyce is popular here because he coached junior football blah, blah, blah in Winnipeg.... Nice guy apparently but I don't care. This isn't the St. Vital Mustangs or Winnipeg Rifles. The guy is a horrible CFL Head Coach. His level of competency seems to be STC & that's where he should be & stay from here on in, Like Mark Killam in Calgary with the Stamps. Just works special teams & let someone else who knows what they're doing be a Head Coach. I see no difference in the incompetency between Craig Dickenson & Bob Dyce. Ywet Dickenson is villified here because he coaches the Riders. Dyce not so much & gets a pass. Ask any fan in Ottawa if they want Dyce back, You'll get your answer. NO!!

Cole at FS would be interesting. I’d say more auditioning in the last game however. First place is not a lock yet. I’m not sure. Injuries or not, Edmonton at home for first place is far different from a trip to Ottawa in the summer. I don’t think anybody’s getting trapped

Understandable but look, I’ve been to seven home games this season. We’re 7-0 in those games. I’ve seen the Bombers beat the Lions by nearly 40, the Riders by 45, the ALS by 30 plus, I understand any given Sunday but I’ve seen a lot of good football as bad as posters are saying we’re playing we have the least amount of points given up in the CFL, and were averaging over 32 PPG on offense. That game against Ottawa was the perfect storm of kicking ourselves in the foot and maybe letting off the brakes when we had a lead. I’m going to give us the benefit of the doubt that we’ve learned a lot since a July football game, and that we’re going to come out focused and bring our best against Edmonton to wrap up first.

On a positive note looks like it may be another sell-out. Looks like there are probably between 1500 and 1000 tickets left.
