Personally, I think if he was given the opportunity last year we still would've been champs. Wish him all the best in his future endeavors... I suspect he'll land in Ottawa with Lapolice, but that's just me. Left everything on the field for this team and city - I hope he will tell his daughter fond stories of Winnipeg and how she got her middle name (Winnie) as he helped turnaround an otherwise floundering organization, and he was able to simultaneously resurrect his football career. let's be honest, if they didn't know for certain that they were going to shoot this down they would never have allowed anyone to vote outside the party line. Realistically we are more or less at the same value there as last..if not more value if Collaros misses anytime..and even if he dosnt..its hardly an increase..especially when we only need to roster 2 QB's and most likely one will be value contract McGuire

Would love to see Natey Adjei here. Between him and Petermann that's an easy Canadian starter. Wolitarsky moves into the slot this season. Having another couple guys who can be consistent contributors gives us some insulation to injury. Also Adjei is a special teams ace. Plays like a Bomber.

News flash: no one wins every year. The downer brigade is going to have to work a bit harder to find things to complain about, but revisiting past years is the lazy way. The rules are incredibly confusing. Going to be real hard to sell the product. People know what football is and they want football. I think taking the best rules from different leagues giving minor tweaks is one thing, for instance only needing one foot in bounds to make a catch, no fair catches, no punts out of bounds, only 2 point converts allowed. What the XFL is doing is impossible to engage people in IMO. Nobody is going to understand what they are watching and I bet even their own coaches are going to be confused as to what the hell the rules are. The rules are so different that the product will be unrecognizable from NFL, NCAA, CFL etc.

Start 3 need to probably dress 4 minimum. Would be really nice to have that many Canadians on O could almost go all import on D, probably still start 1 on D just in case a few in game injuries happen.

The way I view it we replaced that spending with the Collaros deal.

Yeah I was surprised he didn't. Good prospect out of LSU. But, has bounced around a lot, including two CFL teams. There's definitely a reason. Taylor Heinicke could play QB in the CFL. At least a back up level. But, might also be a bit of a knucklehead. And, perhaps the lure of playing for the storied St. Louis Battlehawks is just too great. We'll see you when the league folds buddy.

Vince's employment contract also prohibits him from working in competing businesses and pro sports is listed as one of the competitors he is barred from working. The BOD amended his contract to specify the XFL as not being competition, which the pension fund disputes. XFL had a big drag on WWE the first time around and these shareholders dont want it to this time. I cant see it going very far but WWE certainly isnt cooperating in providing info

Vince's ego is the only reason the XFL is in existence. Just can't see this thing lasting. Fans don't like spring football.
