I agree, the talent is there. Sure the receivers could be better, but we have the best OL, the best RB, a solid front 7 on D, and some good talent in the secondary. We have weaknesses, but so does everyone else. When you watch teams like Montreal and Saskatchewan win games - the Bombers are quite frankly out of excuses.

  3. Remember that this Ottawa offence thrashed the Bomber defence. Goes to show you how bad Hall's defence is and also that Stubler is not senile just yet.

He has not been better than Berry - yet. Yeah, he’s a nicer guy, but the results have been about the same.

  11. Saturday, September 1: DB Jeff Richards Richards spent last season on the Chargers’ practice roster after participating in training camp with Carolina but has been released. He spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as a member of the Ottawa Redblacks. DB Jonathon Mincy CFL rights holder: None Mincy joined the Bears back in January following two seasons as the Alouettes’ boundary cornerback but has been released by the Bears according to an online report. DB Dexter McCoil CFL rights holder: None A two-time West Division all-star, McCoil has been released by the 49ers. OL Brett Boyko CFL rights holder: B.C. Lions Boyko made his NFL debut late last season after two years on the Chargers’ practice roster but has been released after reaching an injury settlement with the club. OL Ryan Hunter – (N) CFL rights holder: Toronto Argonauts Hunter has been waived by the Kansas City Chiefs. The 2018 draft class top-ranked CFL draft prospect signed with the Chiefs as a priority free agent after going unselected in the NFL draft. Hunter will go through the waiver process and is a strong practice roster candidate. Friday, August 31: OL Austin Pasztor CFL rights holder: Edmonton Eskimos After six seasons in the NFL, including last year with the Falcons, Pasztor has been released. He was fourth overall pick in the 2012 draft by Edmonton – with a pick acquired in the Ricky Ray trade – but has earned almost $5 million USD in his career. OL Dakoda Shepley – (N) CFL rights holder: Saskatchewan Roughriders Shepley was signed by the Jets as a priority free agent following the conclusion of the 2018 NFL draft and received a significant signing bonus from the club but he has been waived. DB Kacy Rodgers II CFL rights holder: None The former Saskatchewan Roughrider defensive back signed his first NFL contract in February but has been released – despite the fact that Rodgers’ father, Kacy Rodgers Sr., is the Jets’ defensive coordinator. WR DeVier Posey (I) CFL rights holder: None Posey signed a one-year contract with the Ravens fresh-off a Grey Cup victory with Toronto – including a $100,000 signing bonus – but was released. Argos GM Jim Popp says the team wants him back. WR Mark Chapman (N) CFL rights holder: Hamilton Tiger-Cats The first overall pick in the 2018 CFL Draft, Chapman has been waived by the Denver Broncos and they are reportedly not immediately considering him for a practice roster spot. WR/DB Terrell Sinkfield (I) CFL rights holder: None The former Argo, Ticat and Lion was trying to make the New York Jets as a defensive back but has been released. Tuesday, August 28 OL Geoff Gray (I) CFL rights holder: Winnipeg Blue Bombers Gray was placed on waivers by the Cleveland Browns.

  12. Are those the stickers that bend at the half-way point and then break if there’s too much pressure put on them?

  13. Spuds, there are free stickers before every bomber game at the party area at the east side of IGF. If you can’t make it to that area, maybe just call the bomber office. They have been more than helpful with requests I am aware of. One warning, they are reluctant to provide information on the route for the grey cup victory parade.

  14. Insulting the opposition team, their fans and their city is par for the course. For example, when I was passing through Regina a few months ago, we stopped at Costco there for gas and to stretch our legs. The wife (she who will be obeyed) found an item she liked and we lined up at the cashier. The lady ahead of us was a pretty average (for Saskatchewan) looking gal but when she got to the checkout she smiled at the cashier, the scanner immediately rang up a set of cookware..

Because he's the best coach we've had since Dave Ritchie. Give him more time with new coordinators before we fire a guy like that.

  20. Our offence is ranked: 1st - Total points (Sask - 5th) 5th - Passing Yards (Sask - 9th) 3rd - Passing TDs (Sask - 8th) 6th - Time of Possession (Sask 5th) 1st - Rushing Yards (Sask 2nd) 1st - Rushing TDs (Sask 9th) 3rd - Sacks Allowed (Sask 1st) 3rd - Turnovers (Sask 4th) So, out of 8 categories that CFL.ca tracks, the Bombers are first in 3, and ahead of Saskatchewan in 6 of the 8. But, please, tell me more about how crappy our offence is compared to Saskatchewan's....

  21. Looks like Gerald Rivers is in along with Gaitor. 3 DI's on D plus Medlock. They could definitely get Flanders on the roster if they wanted to. To me Wild and Gaitor's roles could be quite easily taken on by one of the Canadians. There's no roster crunch keeping him off. That DL and receiving group are thin as hell.

  28. Not sure about the worse - but if you would a great steak and what I believe is one of the worlds best Caesar Salads go to "The Diplomat" (http://thediplomatsteakhouse.com/). I hit it every time I am in Regina which these days is not all that often. Golf's on Victoria Ave is pretty good too.

  31. Scouting has been an issue since Danny Mac has taken over the scouting operation. I was hoping the addition of Ted Goviea would show dividends but so far there's nothing substantial. The proof in the pudding is who is the last player the Bombers found that has jumped ship to the NFL? The Bomber teams of the past would lose players to the NFL all the time. Now...nothing.

  32. Let's face it, the current Grey Cup drought has a huge impact on this fan base and I am including myself. Its been way to long since we've won the cup and we've had some terrible regimes in that time period (Reinbold 97/98), Daley (half of 04 and 05), Kelly (09), Burke (half of 12 and 13). So when we start seeing what is essentially the same movie (Hall's terrible D), we get even more pissed off. Same with the lack on international scouting, Lapo's tendency to play conservative.

  33. I'd recommend a permanent one . . .

  34. Some sacrifices are necessary, and the Bombers look to be 50-50 about making the western playoffs right now anyways. Going into next season with a defence directed by Hall is unthinkable- except to O'Shea.

  39. Als aren't blitzing all that much. Rushing 4 dropping 8. Bombers blitzed like crazy and Harris just hit quick passes to wide-open guys over the blitzers.

  40. Boo birds for Harris. Does that hurt him? I mean, he's giving his all for his team & booing is mean.

  41. The Als coaches were so enamoured having a "veteran" qb even though he was shitty that they obviously screwed up cutting Pipkin. Then got enamoured again on Manziel. What's it say about other teams not picking Pipkin up?

If we get blown out twice in the LDC/Banjo Bowl, I don't think MOS gets fired. Hall will get fired though. It will put MOS on the hot seat though. Walters is in no danger as GMs usually get to fire one coach.
