  1. We lost because you touched yourself. You know who you are.

  4. Never like to see anyone get injured, let alone someone who gave so much this this team but .... He's a 35 year old running back. While this was something of a freak injury, it's also symptomatic of what happens to players who have such a physical style of play and have a tonne of mileage on them. Fingers crossed it's not too severe but based on the way he went out, it doesn't look good.

Apparently to some, this is a political platform. How is this to be respected? There has to be a line. Once it's crossed it's in nutbar land that is to be treated as such.

  9. In the first half of the season we played 2 teams/3 games against +.500 teams. The tough part of the season is ahead of us, not behind us.

  10. and realistically we are the reason we lost missing a absurdly easy kick at the end of regulation 😂

  11. This team needed one to get away. If they were to walk into the West Final undefeated they'd have heads so big they'd be getting tested for steroids. On that 9-0 streak, there were certainly 2 games that fell into their lap: When TO's missed the PAT that would've tied it up and sent it to OT. When CAL at IGF looked to have the answer, only to have Kamar Jordan cough it up to Houston in spectacular fashion. You'll lose some along the way. The way I look at it, they probably should've lost the two mentioned above, but they were blessed by the Football Gods. So on that level they're 2-1.

  12. I missed the 4th quarter and haven’t been able to catch up yet but we had tons of squandered opportunities to win that game. I think that’s about as good a game to lose as it gets. The players will go into the bye with a chip on their shoulder. I expect a very high effort complete game against Calgary next week.

  14. Has there been a more arduous stretch of football for a team than this 10-game one the Bombers just finished? I can't think of one. And yet, the team went 9-1 and sits comfortably atop the division going into its first bye week. Let the Lions have their top spot in meaningless power rankings on 3DN. Who the hell put together such a brutal schedule, anyway?
    3 points
  15. Yeah typical. No consideration for it being the end of the toughest schedule stretch any team will play this year. 9 games no byes 3 in 10 couple series month on the road etc etc.

  17. although the CFL, geniuses that they are, did the same thing with their marketing slogan this year #BringEmOut, which was already in use by an NCAA team (Nebraska? Someone, anyhow...) and they never bothered to check or ask. Just used it. Dumb, dumb, dumb...

  19. It was a nice gesture- a little over the top, but really nice though. Ignore the haters, dismiss the eyerolls and just continue your unabashed support of the Bombers - there are some that appreciate it.

  22. Not to mention that the riders may very well be lower than.500 by the time we play them. And last time the Bombers played bc the narrative was that it was finally a tough team and they molly whopped them. And calgary has seen the Bombers play some of their beat games as well. This past game against Montreal was a trap game that they finally succumbed to. Grueling schedule, inconsequential opponent all that. And they still were in a position to win it but for a poor kick.

  23. Calgary - 1 Saskatchewan - 3 Hamilton - 1 Edmonton - 1 BC - 2 So 3 tough games and 5 easy games is a tough part of the schedule?

Yeah....I think it was inevitable that Andrew would be sidelined....He's such a bulling type of back and the injuries are taking their toll....Hate to see a guy go out like that but I think I hear Harris's swan song being rehearsed ....Could be wrong but when you're 35 and getting nic'd so often , it's time to look at ending an excellent career

  41. First thing's first, no one outside of Manitoba wants the Bombers doing well, for the same reason no one outside of Manitoba wants the Jets doing well: we're small potatoes media-wise compared to all other markets. How dare Winnipeg have success over the Torontos, Vancouvers and Montreals! The Bombers are the little guys, they're supposed to get beat down, and they're supposed to take their lumps and like it. They should consider themselves lucky to even be in this league! What does that mean? Our road to any modicum of success is always going to be longer, harder and more arduous than the other markets. We're always going to be scrutinized harder, judged harsher, never be given the benefit of the doubt, and we have to play near perfect to earn any attention or respect in this league. So to any players that read this forum: let this motivate you. How do you beat a bully? Punch them in the teeth. Make the critics eat their words by being the best. Be proud. Play professionally. Play for one another. Play as a team. That is what we do. That is Blue Bomber football.
