Well Done. No excuses here if you don't have a chance to win with your backups why are they on the team. It's football injuries will always happen and are never an excuse. The Head shot at the end did not cause us to loose the game. Good teams don't leave it up to one call, but for the love of god they need to get that hit out of the game, It happens too much to all teams QB's and my feelings on that don't change no matter what jersey colour the QB is wearing. I hope you carry the momentum and break your Grey Cup drought as every fan base that supports there team through thick and thin deserves to be part of a championship win cause it feels awesome. Still sucks we lost thought just glad it was a nail biting quality game. Cheers. Jason

Just checking a couple of the boards and there’s pretty much a general consensus that Stamps fans were behind the Bombers in this game. Not because we felt the Bombers were the weaker opponents, but you helped us avoid such buffoonery in McMahon Stadium like this: With the Riders eliminated, Watermelons at the grocery stores remain stocked, low budget liquor stores won’t be ransacked, Extra security for McMahon called off, and Calgary Families will feel safer Congrats and Looking forward to facing your team next week! I believe we have the first regular season win and the first playoff win in their new stadium.

Bleh, if you're worried about QB stats in a game where we rushed for 200 yards in -20 weather you just hate the guy blindly.

They shut up Jefferson that's for sure. He doubted all 3 were all stars. Then there was Charleston Hughes. Charleston, where are you???? I love Jefferson is done. That POS player is on the outside looking in. Love it.

That's what a flawed team gives you when it counts..a loss..if defence or special teams cant score..they rarely win.. And that should shut doubters up about 3 all stars on our line..they owned the game and grinded that "vaunted" sask defence into submission

That fourth quarter TD drive was a thing of beauty. Our OL absolutely CRUSHED the Riders DL. Shut up Jefferson. Totally shut down Hughes & the other 2 Rider DL didn't even count. They were washed totally out.

Man ... it's the morning after and I honestly woke up feeling the same way I did last night. I got home from work at about 9 PM after going stealth mode all day and not spoiling the results, and I watched the game on the PVR ... and honestly, I'm SO happy we beat the Riders and I'm so happy they have so many things to whine about all offseason in regards to how they could've, should've and would've. No Collaros, questionable Bridge hit, blah blah blah who cares, I absolutely love to see that fanbase get whooped in the playoffs and have zero answer. All week long I had to listen to them throw out every ridiculous thought about "mind games" and how "they didn't even need a QB" and how we couldn't and wouldn't handle their world class defence. Forget about it. Our team dominated that game, score be damned (don't even get me started on the weak ass play calling inside the 35) and we did it in their stadium and ruined their first ever playoff game just like we ruined their first ever regular season game. Good. Riders suck. Have fun whining the rest of the offseason away.

I'll give the Rider fans who came on here to congratulate us a ton of credit as most wouldn't. That was a classy move on their part.

I have lived in Alberta for 12 years now and the rider fans have pissed me off for the whole time. These so called “fans” go to the local co-op in sask and buy a rider tshirt and call themselves fans. The first thing I asked the rider fans before they chirp me is to name 3 players from their oline or defence. Most of them can’t so I don’t give them the time of day to get a rise out of me!

Nichols pump fake on Wolitarsky TD was a thing of beauty Edem bit so hard on it.

Wolitarsky in addition to the td had a grwat catch along the sidelines where he out fought the db for the ball. was a pretty key play. That guy is maybe the most under rated player going.

Yeah that is a pretty uncalled for comment..Bridge was hurt...and hardly played lazy...he just isn't a top tier QB and doesn't have the skills to get it done game in or game out...especially with a poor system around him and being treated like a yo-yo..

Apparently this is an unpopular opinion... but I didn't think that Jeffcoat hit was that bad... it is very unfortunate that Bridge got hurt... I never want to see any player get a head injury, even on a hated rival... but when you watch the replay, Jeffcoat leads with his shoulder, the hit is not late, the first contact is shoulder-to-shoulder, and the head contact was incidental... I do agree that based on precedent he should have got 15 yards for it... but that is about it... the Odell Willis hit was 10x worse as head clearly launches himself leading with the head...

Even though Ambrosie has come out and said there should have been a call, I would love someone to post a review of the hit with Jeffcoat leading with his head. I had to watch it in real time and when they showed the refcam view where the ref was blocked it also looked as though Jeffcoat was leading with his shoulder and that their shoulders first collided and then you can't see what happens afterwards but I am assuming that is when the head contact took place. Either case; we had a couple iffy calls that gave the Riders a TD so I don't think missing that call changes the out come of the game because then we would also just complain about the other two calls that allowed the riders to be so close anyways.

Not sure if they showed it on TV but after Jefferson got credited with a sack he did the McMahon strut. Glad Nichols gets the last laugh.

man, I remember our OL back a few years ago. Our qbs were getting killed. We had no run game. No passing game. Our linemen were pylons. What a refreshing change. We are a tough team to play. Like constructing a building. It needs a strong foundation so it won't fall over. We sure have that with the 5 guys on that OL. Just seeing them crush the Riders defense on that TD drive felt so good as a fan. They put the team on their back & won the game.

Agreed. Liked how they used Streveler, could have done it a bit more in the first half. He's such a weapon and he opens up space for Harris. Sask clearly was on edge whenever he was out there.

Playoff likes for all above, because well we won a playoff game against the stinkin' Riders

Neufeld gets a semi HH for taking a shot at Edem right after Edem took that unpenalized crap shot at Wolitarsky on the sidelines. plus one for good intentions, but minus a bunch for costing us a field goal.

#footballgods Riders got away with a lot of holding, a brutal late hit out of bounds on Wolitarsky, and a free touchdown on two phantom PI's.

Yeah, almost made it through the game without having Gainer cruze around the stadium. Never understood why the Riders don't get a penalty for Gainer's siren going off while the play is going on.

I am definitely using that one next time... My personal favorite is reminding them they've only won four Grey Cups compared to our ten... to which their usual reply is how the Bombers haven't won since 1990 (27 year drought). To which I usually reply they took 56 years to win their first one.

The only real knock to hold against him tnite was he tucked the ball away too quick and looked to run rather then stepping up into the pocket. But he did protect it well and made good decisions. And it's hard to light it up in that cold and wind. The ball to woli sailed a bit but again weather will do that. And woli turned on the jets to pull it out. Game management win for him and Streveler.

1. Nichols - no picks. 2. Harris was absolutely dominant. 3. Wolitarsky had some monster plays in the first half when the home crowd was really in it. HH - Dressler - not a big stat line, but huge leader on the field.
