  1. Finally. Walters is so lazy.

  2. You don’t sign your aging franchise QB to a 600k deal and then put him in a situation to lose every single one of his top weapons in one offseason Demski will be back

  6. Obviously it goes without saying that in the CFL there's going to be a fair bit of roster turnover in three years, but with ZC and Demski both inked for three years, it's clear what the plan is. A nice hometown party in 2025...and perhaps one or two leading up to that as well.👏🥳

  7. big! he doesnt get an offer by the cut-off..he is back on yr 2 of his current deal...which I bet gets restructured to a 2 or 3 yr ext...book it

  8. The other thing is.... We know this core group is all in for a 2025 GC at IGF as the cherry on the Sunday of this magical run. Demski, of all people, would want to be a part of that.

  11. so as it stands right now...we have Drab, Rose, Nichols, Alexander, Lawrence, Houston and Parker all signed for 2023...I guess you can lump i Holm there too, but he wont crack the lineup with those guys there as our DB pool going into camp with the new recruits and any free agent we may sign...which I think is none now...and we focus on 1 legit big ticket receiver now...and a DT with some presence and pedigree.....with Biggy and Wilson healthy going into camp....the Jeffs signed...Hansen will also be ready for camp as the rotation guy....and I expect more from Lawson who was more than adequate cutting his teeth this past year....this defense I can see doing 2021 things again...without a doubt...and they gonna be hungry cause they all been stewwing too long already about how 2022 ended

  12. Darby's flexibility is key.

  13. Maybe I'm too much sunshine and rainbows given the success of this regime, but I wouldn't be surprised if Demski has agreed to terms but their letting Walters go after our other pieces and restructuring a Demski contract as far as salary/bonuses go based on what KW can get accomplished over the next few days. As Mike mentioned previously, you don't sign an aging QB, God bless Zach as good as he is, and let a top target walk out the door - a local one at that.

  15. Happy to have Darby back. He can play just about any db position and is excellent at both Sam and s. Hopefully ba stays healthy this year but great insurance at s and a strong starter.

  16. Man...both sides back tracking...this gonna be epically funny this yr....a situation basically that there is nobody left for Riders to go after/wanted to go there...and nobody wants the Faj other than prob at best a sneak QB for 4 to 5 snaps a game...just too dam funny

  17. 18. Great News about Demski! One of our three top players IMO!

  19. Absolutely. I would imagine KW and co want to avoid losing two local boys in back to back off-seasons.

  20. GREAT point by DT on Twitter just now regarding Demski and ratio implications: "Bombers have no worries about the 7+1 Canadian rule that starts next season. Bighill, Bryant, Hardrick, Alexander and others qualify to be ‘nationalized’." Sorry, can't figure out how to embed tweets for the life of me haha! Restructure doesn't mean less money...lol. You can tweak cap hits based on how much is allocated at salary versus various bonuses etc.

  21. When KW did interviews at the GM meetings it was asked what was happening with Jeffcoat and Demski and he made it sound like those were locks.

  22. Darby was one of the most important signings, for me. Instantly solidifies one of the most important spots on the field. Really really stoked he's back.

yes, I agree.... Russia, And Fox. Fox wants the same thing as Putin. chaos, division, violence, mistrust, all leading to white, right wing, dictatorship. nearly pulled it off with Trump. and The only outfit to call Fox to account, is the voting machine companies with their lawsuits. Everyone else is afraid of Fox.

  24. Well, there’s the rub isn’t it?

  25. You're re-signing Demski. This'd be a lousy time to take a key weapon away from Collaros. KW knows this and isn't a fool. Demski's payday will be announced soon, I'm sure.

  26. How is this Jennings story on 3DN their top article? He couldn’t read defences and that’s why he isn’t in the league more than anything.

  27. I feel much better now. @Noeller, @JCon, I know you guys worry like me but I think we can relax until free agency.

  28. yeah, This yr I wasnt too worried

  29. Hopefully we get Rashed Bailry done. He's more valuable than Ellingson who was hurt for 2/3 of the season & did nothing in the playoffs & Grey Cup. His contract can go & we can use the money for someone else. I'll bet Noeller sleeps well, tonight.

  30. Edmonton is community owned. I wouldn't say that they're doing well, the Board hired the GM/Coach before hiring the President.
    2 points
  31. Do you read what I write before responding. I said they are doing reasonably well with bad ownership. All they need is good ownership. What are you going on about? Correct. The problem they had this time around is the man with the money passed away and that changed everything. It seems as though they've found reasonable ownership in Edmonton and bc. It should be easier right now to find a good owner for Montreal coming off a moderarly successfull season.

  32. So Evans isn’t going to Ottawa. I still think BC is an option. Hopefully they just stay with VAJ

  34. I saw a few of what I assumed were Freedom Convoyers going down highway 15 today. Three to be exact. I assumed they had something to do with that play group because they had large Canada flags and hazard lights on despite going highway speed. Their message remained as cloudy as ever. No doubt that Russia would want to encourage any movement that could help weaken Canadian democracy or economy. I'm sure they were giddy with Ottawa being shut down, borders shut down, etc. They correctly see the far right in Canada as the ideal vehicle for weakening our country. Perhaps far right is even being too gracious. I think it is pretty obvious which party they will be interfering in our next election on behalf of. I assume government agencies from NATO countries also try to subtly support revolutionary groups in Russia/Iran, etc.

"Nearly a year after the start of Canada’s 2022 Freedom Convoy—a series of protests and blockades that brought together a wide variety of far-right activists and extremists, as well as ordinary Canadians who found common ground with the aggrieved message of the organizers—the question of whether and to what degree foreign actors were involved remains largely unanswered. This paper attempts to answer some of those questions by providing a brief but targeted analysis of Russia’s involvement in the Freedom Convoy via media and social media." https://journals.lib.sfu.ca/index.php/jicw/article/view/5101/4385 interesting bit: "The timeline of coverage also reveals another notable trend involving RT and Fox News; specifically, when RT’s coverage starts to drop off, Fox News’ coverage picks up. Recent reports have documented a symbiotic relationship between the two networks, which may explain the pattern described here (Corn, 2022; Thompson, 2022)." Fox network : same agenda as Putin.
