2026 CFL Around The League (Not Bombers Specific)
NFL cut down day - Kurtis Rourke appears to have made the 49ers

Week 8 Games
I would give my left nut for a retro Dunigan jersey. Watching some of his stuff on YouTube, and the stuff I remember from being a kid, the guy was nearly a God lol

Week 8 Games
What's crazy, is given all the deep shots, all the possessions etc, that mark is still 200+ yards short of Dunigan's record. Whoever attended that game in person is blessed. Damn shame there's minimal highlights of it. That record will never be broken.

Gonna sleep like a baby after watching that lol

2026 Bombers Season
Winning the game literally is where fundamental QB comparion starts and ends. It's why Ottawa is 0-6 and we aren't. It's why Tom Brady is who he is. It's why Steven Jyles was who he was despite "sexy" stats. You don't win without a capable quarterback - Especially a QB who can't make plays in the fourth quarter. When we absolutely needed a play, Dru made a play. He did the same thing a couple years back when Zach spotted Edmonton roughly a 3 TD lead on the road. Those are the players a locker room rallies around. Can you get the job done when it matters the most? Dru has shown in his time here, he can. This really isn't difficult to understand.

Bombers at Redblacks- Dru Brown's revenge tour GDT
Mike Kelly may have been a moron of a head coach, but he was right about one thing - The most schizophrenic (bi-polar would have probably been more accurate) fan base in the CFL. The amount of absolutely moronic comments in this GDT thread is embarrassing. Take a breath and touch grass. Maybe the reason Brady isn't getting a ton of touches is because he's going down on basic arm tackles after 4 yards. Maybe he needs to spend less time making TV shows and paying for his girlfriend's horrible lip injections and actually hit the hole with some purpose as he did two years ago. The same people who were acting like Jake Ceresna was some franchise changing signing (he's had a great 3 and a half quarters this year) are the same people saying Osh is an idiot. Tony Jones has been by far our best linebacker for the last 2 weeks, in a system that isn't overly friendly to linebackers, but he still continuously gets **** on. I could go on, but the moronic comments in this GDT says all that needs to be said. Clownshow.

Ellsbury is 100% an American Kolo. Perhaps even a tad worse.

Bombers "at" Argos GDT
That female ref working the sideline at the Argo bench was absolutely horrific. A number if awful calls and non-calls all night. Other thoughts in no particular order: Solid, but unspectacular night for Brady. Only a long of 11 on the ground but still a very respectable YPC on the ground. I really would like to see him more involved in the screen game. Love Dru Brown. Never should have left, though I fully understand why he did. He deserved the opportunity but the Ottawa organization is an absolute disaster from top to bottom. Love seeing Pokey and Vaval redeem themselves after significant blunders. Very solid game from Tony Jones. I know he's a bit of a whipping boy around here (he's not spectacular but I also dont think he's nearly as bad as people make him out to be). I think we would be much better off returning him to the middle linebacker spot given how he's performed there in the past especially with the lack of productivity we're currently getting there from Wilson. Ceresna is a little too invisible for me at this point, sorry to say. Not sure I'd be celebrating my ejection down 15 points like Coxie did, but that's just me.

Brady @ Bo: The GDT
Had the same thought. Definitely stayed one year too long sadly.

2026 Bombers Season
QB musical chairs and Terry Wilson is still unemployed. Well I'll be damned.

I remember an early 90's beat down. 1993, 61-10 against Hamilton. My first Bomber game.

Lock of the Week 2026: 2
Tempted to say Perkins but gotta go with Tim White in a revenge game. Gotta imagine he'll have a chip on his shoulder.

Blasphemy!

Bombers at Stamps GDT
Two points I forgot: Perkins looks like a natural in short yardage. For CFL rookies, short yardage can sometimes be an adventure. When we went for it around our own 20 or 25 with a full yard and he was able to convert, that to me indicated the coaches have all the trust in the world in him to be able to convert. Long snapping: Two snaps on field goals were less than ideal. Kudos to our holder for being able to dig it out of the turf and get it pinned for Sergio without interrupting his rhythm of the kick.

Bombers at Stamps GDT
Took a few hours for the hangover to go away from yesterday, but after re-watching the game, I feel there's lots to feel good about, especially considering the standard quirks that typically come with a week 1 game. Some random thoughts in no particular order... Half time adjustments. It was clear as day that adjustments were made on both sides of the ball. Half time adjustments, specifically, lack thereof has killed us in years past. Pass protection was significantly better in the 2nd half. Run defence was significantly better too. Tommy Condell vs Jason Hogan. For those that haven't heard, I'd encourage you to listen to Zach on the post-game show. He was beaming when asked about the offence after the game. Also, Strevvy was live-tweeting during the game yesterday and made a comment about how our receivers were wide open in the intermediate game. That was sorely missing last year, as was just a solid flowing offensive game plan. The wind - as mentioned by Noeller (also Zach on the post game), this was not a consistent wind throughout the game. I know people on this forum think Osh is an idiot (you're telling on yourself for thinking this, just for the record) but the wind was unpredictable and the team still found a way. The times Osh has in the past decided to kick twice in favour for a fourth quarter wind has usually worked well in our favour. While we didn't have the wind in the fourth, we still found a way. No one bats 1.000 Tommy Nield - Despite the one drop, looked very solid. Nice to have another capable National receiver. I look forward to seeing what he does as he gets more reps in the offence. Looking ahead - Very much Looking forward to Thursday against Hamilton. I would imagine Tim White has a chip on his shoulder. If we can keep Kenny to a respectable number receiving, I like our chances. Hopefully the forecast changes as it looks like crap for the end of the week, Thursday included.

3 stars and hh 2001 revenge
Jake Ceresna. Pretty quiet on the first few series. Absolute animal the rest of the way. Really opened things up for Willie and I'm sure as they get more comfortable with each other it will open up more as the year goes on. Trey Vaval. His return helped flip the game and him letting the ball go over his head and out of the back of the endzone before the final drive was a premier example of knowing the rules and great special teams coaching. Brady. Just rock solid. Also loved the usage by Condell given his pass first tendencies on first down historically. HH: Offensive line. Pretty underwhelming first half. Second half pass protection was a night and day difference and a TREMENDOUS blitz pick-up on the deep pass to Pokey to start the final drive.

Sorry Jake. Luv u bae.

Bombers at Stamps GDT
If we ever run into depth issues on the offensive line, Jarious Jackson looks like he'd be a fantastic left tackle
-
Bombers at Stamps GDT
Love to see Condell running as much as he is given his play calling tendencies. Utilize your strengths.

Bombers at Stamps GDT
Zero time for Zach. Middle getting caved in. Tackles getting worked.

Bombers at Stamps GDT
Pretty invisible showing for Ceresna so far.

Broxton got pushed back twice that I noticed.

James Franklin lol. I remember when he was supposed to be the "next big thing". That was cute. Appreciate the breakdown. That's much better, clearer context.

Bombers at Stamps GDT
4-14 years with ZC as his QB? Not being a wise ass - Genuinely asking. If the QB loves the system, and by all accounts, Zach does, that's good enough for me.
