This while thing that is going on in society where people think they can just believe away facts they don't like is a cancer on the world and it's high time that the bullshit was stomped out for good.

  6. Seeing these makes me wonder what more did Schoen have to do for an NFL shot? Can't just be his age since Jaelon Acklin, who is a year older, got a look with Denver. What makes his stats even more impressive, is that he maintained this pace the whole season unlike some of the other guys (Mitchell, Henry) who missed a significant chunk of the year.

  7. Nice! I’m predicting with a full season in the Blue and Gold this guy is going to be a CFL all star! Love how he came in late in the season and did not miss a beat!

  8. Schoen is a phenom and could have a legendary career in the CFL. I'm thinking, albeit speculatively, that Schoen thrived in 2022 because of the waggle. His ability to time his route hitting the LOS at the snap made him so dangerous and very difficult to defend. He's crazy fast when he hits stride, which, when combined with his clean route running, agile movement, and silky hands, makes him a prototypical CFL receiver, IMO. I'm curious if that success up here would translate in the NFL without the advantage of using the waggle to pick up speed prior to hitting the LOS. Burst speed off the line could be a difference maker.

I don't think these people realize 83% of Canadians made the simple cooperative decision to get at least the first vaccination, they've chosen a mole hill to die on and they continue to defend it with the mistaken belief they have the backing of the vast majority. Because of their continued belligerence, voting them off the island seems appropriate, it really comes down to FIFO.

  18. The fact that Schoen isn’t at any NFL workouts baffles me. Any scout doesn’t even have to watch him play just look at the numbers, and that alone should be enough, but in that case Walters should be trying to get him on a huge deal, preferably 3 years would be great!

  27. I get the push to be younger. More upside and room to improve. At the same time if you cut too much of the tip age bracket you can ruin the culture of a locker room. we need to be better on the ol in 2023 than we were in 2022. They finished strong through a lot of injuries. Hardrick and Bryant are a big part of the heart and soul of this team. personally, I hope Richmond is finally healthy and able to step in if/when one of our tackles needs a couple weeks to recover from an injury. Or see gray really get a chance to develop at T. I’d love to see Dobson take over at guard or even center. I expect that every starter that resigns here will start next year out of camp as long as they are healthy. And legitimately I think better health at a couple positions and more development from our guys will still take us far.

  29. Measurables. You can't coach 6'5 with decent quickness (he's not a fast receiver by any stretch but in football "quick" and "fast" are two different things). I can see why NFL teams, who tend to get captivated by guys who fit a mold, would take a flier on a guy like Lenius.

All I know is that everyone should have received their benefits in crypto. We would have surely avoided this inflationary period that way. Kidding. I think this is just one of the costs of avoiding the greater evil of people going without benefits being paid where they are actually needed. Agree that all reasonable attempts should be made to recoup non-eligible benefits and charge/expose those that knowingly took advantage, especially large corporations that have a history of using public funds and programs in a manner they are not intended to be used. A non-partisan committee to study how benefits can be dispensed better if/when there's ever an emergency need to do so in the future would be great.

    Covid-19

CDC Chief Shares 'Good News' About This Year's Flu Vaccine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky on Monday shared “good news” about this year’s annual flu vaccine, calling it “lifesaving.” Walensky said the shot appears to be effective against the influenza strain that’s circulating. “Right now, the good news is that it looks like it is a very good match,” she told reporters. This comes as cases of both COVID and flu have been on the rise. Walensky called the trend “worrisome” amid the holiday season, when many are gathering indoors with little ventilation. So far this season, there have been at least 8.7 million illnesses, 78,000 hospitalizations, and 4,500 deaths from flu, according to CDC estimates. Over 19,000 patients were hospitalized with flu during the week ending on Nov. 26. The best way to protect against infection and severe illness from flu is getting the annual shot, the CDC says. The vaccine is recommended for everyone above 6 months old. “I want to emphasize that the flu vaccine can be lifesaving and importantly there is still time to get vaccinated to be protected against flu this season,” Walensky said.

  39. Walters made a comment during his interview about needing to move on from 1-2 older guys per year to avoid having to replace more all at once. The article is just extending that thought. It’s not a terrible premise. When I read it, it never once occurred to me that Hodge was suggesting the Bombers move on from Bryant. It’s not a big leap to wonder about the intentions of a 37 year old football player.

  41. I read the Hodge piece... all he really does is suggest that, by virtue of being the oldest guy on the roster, the Bombers COULD move on from Bryant and that Bryant himself might hang them up because things are "year to year" for him, depending on how his body feels and his family situation. I don't think the Hodge piece is as malicious as being represented here, more just a semi-desperate attempt to create content out of almost nothing...
