  1. but in fairness... it's not like anyone is giving away Canadian o-linemen at the deadline... imagine how dumb of a GM you would have to be to trade away a 24-year old Canadian OL with starting potential for a rental pass rusher... then imagine how dumb you would feel if that guy became an 8-year starter for his new team helping them to 2 Grey Cups and possibly more... I can't imagine a GM or team ever doing anything that stupid...

  4. Zach and Demski named performers of the month for September. Hmmm...there is something about 3 of the 4 games in that month, but I can't put my finger on it...

  5. Everyone focuses on the move of Alexander to safety in 2019 for really solidifying the secondary but Taylor coming in was a huge part of that as well. good solid presence in the secondary and we do sorely miss it right now.

Former Winnipeger now living in New Zealand. We have a similar problem happening here. It’s local body elections happening right now (mayor, councillors, etc.) and a group of anti-vaxxers, alt-right, “freedom loving”, conspiracy driven idiots have made it their mission to run in the elections with the stated goal of making New Zealand un-governable. They organised convoys and parliament protests after being inspired by what happened in Canada. Fortunately, we’ve had a couple media outlets who have made it their mission to investigate these candidates and expose them for who they really are. We’ll know soon how it turns out. Unfortunately, I imagine at least a few will sneak in and get elected.

  10. Nice thing about Darby is he should be healthy AF. It all worked out great for him. He took top dollar in free-agency and now he's back with a team that will get him top playoff dollars.

Disgusting that cons in this country are full on just using buzz words that mean nothing like woke rather than presenting legitimate criticisms of things and proposing a better way to do things. I know it's been trending this way for a long long time but I am just so tired of this kind of politics. Why can't all these assholes getting paid well off our tax money actually work together for the betterment of everyone as a whole?

Winnipeg electing Glen Murray mayor would be a huge mistake, he is not accountable, not transparent and is living on name recognition. He would leave Winnipeg in a heartbeat again if a better opportunity comes along.

  23. yup...final pieces in 2019 to solidify the whole thing....hopefully that is the Darby signing this yr....also don't sleep on Lawrence...Liked him in the Hammer, and a DB with size (6'-1") is always a plus...especially one with CFL experience, and a former teams ROY candidate...I will take that free pick up all day...nothing to lose and tons to gain

  24. Yep, just bad luck and injuries keeping them from an undefeated season. Boy that sounds familiar....not sure why. In the history of RadioRyan around the Stamps forum, his radio podcast, and Riderfans, and he has been at all 3 for many years, he has never once conceded that the Stamps were beaten by another team. He has on many occasions admitted defeat on the scoreboard but he is pretty much famous for suggesting that the Stamps weren't beaten, they beat themselves. In his mind no team has ever truly beaten the Stamps.

  28. He's a smarter man than I, but I'd love for Walters to be aggressive and get a valuable defensive piece or 2 from edm or ott for draft picks for sure. Never want to empty the cupboards so to speak but if there ever was a year to do it I think this is it. 3-peat in Regina, couldn't write a better script. Who knows what happens next season & beyond but man we're so close to dynasty territory...

  34. and what other team was in a dire need at DB like we were and had a piece worthy of offering?....Hamilton's defense, and secondary for that matter has been pretty damn good this yr. I'd take Alden Darby on my squad over many other db's in this league, and if you can add him back into a system he knows, and excelled in, with 4 other guys he has played with all last yr, well thats a no brainer....our defense just got a lot better today and thats all that matters

  35. Absolutely no team coming out of TC with an OL of Vaughn, Ferland, Clark, Johnson, and Rodgers as the starting OL ever had a hope of attaining double digit win totals. That is just the reality that these guys don't want to face. Not a single one of those guys would make our roster let alone start. Only one might make our PR. When your GM shits the bed that badly on an OL build you are going to be a crossover team at best no matter what transpires the rest of the way. Bad luck or circumstance had nothing to do with their tire fire right now. Bad roster construction, poor coaching, lack of culture, and me first attitudes are the culprit over there. Injuries just provide their fan base with a convenient excuse.

  36. I don't know about that! I mean, ****... if we we didn't have nearly as many injuries- we too, would be an 11 or 12 win... oh waiiit.

  39. I don't take that guy serious after he tried to argue that the 2021 Bombers were scared of the 2021 stampeders....especially if Mitchell was playing. I know that sounds like a joke...but it wasn't I should add, he said this going into the playoffs...as in the Bombers were afraid of Bo and the Stamps in a cold weather playoff game in WPG....again...as far as I could tell he was dead serious lol.

  42. Yeah, you know if little else, Darby will be a veteran on the side of the field that really needs one. One rookie over there is enough, but 2 was problematic. He can be a big help to whichever of Holm/Parker starts the other spot.

  43. sure the riders had some injuries...what teams didnt...but the loss of Clarke, Ferland and Vaughn is hardly a death blow...they suck, or are average at best, so they replaced them with equal amounts of average at best...so really no loss there, and Moore and Evans sure...they are your "starters" but are not world beaters by any stretch, but again it comes down to recruitment and depth...which they dropped the ball on....and Duke being out has actually made them better as a team...the deal there is the guys been a huge bust, and distraction...again comes down to recruitment and depth. Same with the Faj....ok...he has a brace and is less mobile, but using that as your crutch is pointless...Brace or no brace he would of done what he did since end of 2019....have to be a QB who can pass, stand in the pocket and deliver a throw, or find secondary targets...which he can't...plain and simple. Their D-line issue too....they reaped the benefits of the first 4 games against garbage competition....not cause Marino is expelled....Robertson got hurt sure but is back...PED Leonard has mised a few, but the games he been in you would have to look at a depth chart to even know he was out there, and oddly enough his disappearance falls right in line from when he couldn't do pee pee....and now is under stricter testing...and amazingly his production has dryed up....again...where's your depth?...Lanier hurts sure....but where is the next man up mentality there...is it there is no next man worthy?...or is the talent evaluation there not good...I chalk it up to that...poor GM'ing there and poor culture....the "oh we been ravaged by injury" is just an excuse...and excuses are for losers...and who else really of any significance that is hurt is crippling them?...teamers and plugs who really are just filler?...I don't see any other major losses other than this week with Hickson and Morrow both down, and having to roll with one true RB on the roster....but again...where's your depth, and what HC rosters a team with only 1 RB??...a dumb one maybe, especially when any of their success was predicated on the run. We lost a starting center, our top receiver at the time (ellingson) and also Demski for what4 games?...a starting D-end...Our starting WIL....were on our 3rd option at safety...3rd as well at will...one side of our defensive backfield....have also lost another Canadian receiver now in Woli....our top Global but you would never know it...nobody whines about it, or makes excuses...either after a game or the pre-game excuse we seen from a certain team...instead we had guys step in...step up, and amass a 13-2 record...
