The piss poor efforts of the CFL to grow the game at grassroots is felt across the country. Luckily the Bombers pick up the slack in Manitoba. We have more initiatives sponsored by NFL than CFL. Most kids aside from a few diehards gravitate to NFL. Officiating at all levels is awful. CFL is pulling up refs who don't know basic rules and struggle at amateur level. Ambrosie has to wear this mess but especially the CFL level with the Command Centre debacles on an almost weekly basis.

It's never the right call to let a short FG bounce into the endzone. That's hindsight and a bizarre hill to die on. FG is short, you better be catching it in the air and ideally on the run. Hoping a football bounces the right way would be an idiotic coaching move.

Zach knows the window for this he & his team will be closing fast. This season may be his final opportunity. I think his attitude is **** 2025. Let's get it done this season & worry about 2025 after we win the Grey Cup in Npovember.

Our offense was great in that game. Game plan was excellent. Used strength of Montreal D (zone blitz) against them. Collaros had a great game. Lawler needs to make some plays, Wilson was alright, unspectacular. Demski makes some first downs and a big play on a vertical. We don’t have much else at receiver. Bombers consistently brought 6-7 guys inside and burned Als with playaction. They were loaded for run. 2nd half adjustment to just constantly flood half the field tore the Als apart. Only issue was lack of aggression in redzone. Now that might be smart to preserve FG chances, but think you have to give guys chance to make plays. Call some zero read stuff where we basically know where the ball is going coming out of the huddle. Defense was horrible especially vs Fajardo. Only reason they got off the field is if Fajardo missed a throw. A bit more pressure against Alexander who doesn’t move the ball quickly but also burned us on scrambles. They isolated Bonds and our backers and torched them. Bonds really struggled with leverage on Snead, where he wanted/needed to be. They snuck Snead around the field and we could not cover him with anyone, always lose track of him. The only guys on the field who consistently flow to ball on runs/completions are Jones and Holm. Not a fan of Nichols playing deep half/third as much as he did in that game. Basically removed him from the game. Our tackling and recognition are terrible…run a bunch of screens on us we’ll probably give you 20 yards on 2/3 of them.

Edmonton really screws the attendance figures. If they had a competitive team, they probably average a minimum of 5000 more people, which would be 45,000 extra.

Going back to the end of the game and the wind storm, I found everything just played out perfectly, with Forde bringing up this crazy wind that was all-of-sudden pushing into the stadium, with the leaves following for the visual effect, a slight build-up in anticipation before the punt, and then the pooch. The drama could not have been better scripted.

The other side of it, it’s an extremely long field goal where the coverage team has a big chore huffing it down the field to cover, ball is fluttering in the air well short where the speedy returner can catch it on the fly with lots of field vision in front of him. We’ve seen it on occasion where an errant (ie usually short) long field goal try ends well for the returning team. I don’t think it’s as straight forward as you present it.

I am looking forward to watching the East final - should be a heck of a game. We could dream... Keep in mind, Toronto and Montreal are both good in the trenches and will beat each other up.

All this talk about Harris is not a big game QB and he sucks in playoffs... same was said about Cofaj... I think a healthy respect for Harris is warranted... Cofaj though- no ******* way, he can shove those sprinkles up his ass. Two wins from a 🏆!

I think we have that guy in Person's......wished he would have got a token game before season ended...I bet if he got in he wouldnt have been taken out I think we have some scheme going at times where e just want to bubble around the QB and keep him there and have him try and beat us with pocket passes....hence why at times WJ seems to be playing the knock down/contain When he is actually attacking...he is causing issues and with another guy on the other end....and yes Garbutt been getting better and better we can do some things....but when we run the 30 with Thomas...or Scmeck or those fronts with both....expecting/hoping for them to push and penetrate the pocket...well it rarely happens, and on any run play they just get washed right out of their gap, and have zero backside pursuit ability, and no lateral movement to get off and disrupt anything We should be running heavy rotations with Woods and fox at the center...with an end....or even 2 ends stacked together....And even some modified 30fronts with WJ as a true Jack....or even allowed to just freelance his way to the QB and let the boys clean up. And Adams should be used all over the line...and even dropped off and coming downhill once he see's what the offence is doing...for a big dude he closes fast and he knows how to tackle Especially with Jones and Griffin, and Cole when in who fly and come down hard on anyone who gets past the dline...to me it looks like we are almost intentionally running a passive front to funnel the play to our backers and HB's....but that is fine when it's working...you also need to change it up and actually run it different up front with actual pressure...we seem to not be doing that

the ALs sure are, they’re tough in the trenches. I think Garbutt has really turned a corner. I think the edge problem revolves around wj, and the Canadians inside. Half his snaps wj doesn’t put any effort into getting to the qb. He coasts playing for pass kick downs. Which means the ol cheats in the other direction. The issues with Jake and schmek are well known and don’t need to be restated. If we ran a 40 with woods and fox as the dts, Garbutt and wj on the edge and a rotation of Adam’s and Lawson we’d be in great shape. We’d need 1 more de who can rush to heavily spell wj but it’d work well. If we ran a 30 with those same guys and just heavily rotated wj, we’d do well. It’d be well worth while for us to pay a good pass rusher in free agency this year. But the changes we need are subtractions not additions.

too many times actually....and also late in the game when we needed to get ball back....baffling Especially when due to ratio...we really don't need to have a Canadian in that spot....If/when it Lawson...who is a force it would be fine as a nice rotation and specific scheme guy....but those 2....yeeesh....I bet neither would get on a roster elsewhere

It matters. As an elite running team you may have occasional success against a loaded box, but for the most part they are giving you the pass to stop the run and any OC with half a noodle in his head is going to call the game that way. BO wasn't running a lot because Montreal loaded up the box and dared us to beat them with passing on a windy and cold day. If I am going to pick apart any part of Buck's play calling it wouldn't be his lack of using BO, it would be for not taking a few deep shots earlier or using some sweeps and throws to the flats in the game to open up the run by forcing Montreal to abandon the D game plan of loading the box. For BO to get touches yesterday we needed to force the defence to spread out and we didn't do that until the 3rd Q.

Ambrosie went in front of govt with no plan. That is a fireable offence and should have been it for him. Absolute embarrassment. Can't treat the Commissioner position like a an honorary role, which he did. No plan and the CFL is far worse off now.

Randy Ambroise moved the playoff games to Saturday. That's all I can say about him positively. Everything else from his bumbling of Covid and asking obscene amounts of bailout money with 0 plan, the global expansion crap and the XFL flop was pathetic.

I will be there! Don’t really care who we play! The place will be rocking. There’s not a lot of love for B.C. or Saskatchewan over the years. We’ve had a lot of really big wins at home against both teams in recent times and looking forward to keeping up that streak! Go Blue!

One thing im our favor is I think Collaros has taken a stronger leadership role the last few games, doing what it takes to get the W such as running for first downs, holding others accountable etc In previous playoff games he has been tentative

I believe what he’s referring to is the Covid assistance program application from the govt. the league tried to play hard ball and missed out because of it. The cancellation, and launch of the 21 season were both really late, to the point the 21 schedule was a nightmare. Just basically give us 30m plus and an open line cus we said so

Earlier this year....may have been game 1 vs MTL actually. Command centre overturned a play because the Bombers had an illegal formation or something. No one on the field noticed it. And the play wasn't a turn over or a scoring play. They just called down and made the refs call a penalty. That int should have immediately been reviewed.

Agree with our red zone aggression. Seemed like we got into the red zone and immediately ran Brady into the pile. Waste of a down.

Montreal has a good team. Full stop. We went into a very tough place to win, and won. It was a road game against the league leading defending Champs. Not sure why anyone would think this win would or should be pretty, or why one would lose confidence in our team because of it? Against a very good Noel Thorpe defence in a cold weather windy game. This was prototypical fall weather CFL football.

After his involvement with the Chad Kelly incident, I can't see the BOG wanting Pinball as the face of the league. I certainly don't.
