I'm going to be looked at unfavorably for this, but despite the intent and stupid mistake, it didn't look that bad on the TV.

Now I don't know if it was worse than it looked, Zach certainly seemed pissed which means it was a pretty forceful headbutt.

Anyway, I think the one game was the appropriate suspension. I don't think it was as bad as last years Marino play

Unfavourably? UNFAVOURABLY.  Your spending way too much time in Langenburg.

The intent is the issue though.  It’s so far out of the play that the contact is not part of the game.

Marino’s hits were illegal within the context of the game.  This was beyond that.

I think Robertson is getting some benefit of the doubt for a mild history on illegal hits.

The biggest thing for me is how late it was after the whistle. That and it's a QB. You protect them at all costs, because we're already awfully thin across the league for talented QBs. For those two reasons, it should have been more. Send a statement.

On the coach's show O'Shea also talked about how Robertson had his right foot out in front of himself to put more force behind the head butt. This wasn't a love tap between linemen that Sanchez was comparing it to.

Yeah, you guys are right. The action itself doesn't look too bad but you all are right. It's way after the play

for the lulz....

This guys is such an embarrassment to himself, the Riders, and the CFL... honestly, I hate the Riders as much as anyone, but they deserve better than this clown... actually, I take that back... it is offensive to clowns to put him in the same category as them, sorry Bobo

This clown show in Regina ain't funny....I'm glad the league had at least the sense to suspend that attack on Zack....after the play and a headbutt designed to injure....Thought the penalty wasn't harsh enough and the suspension is light BUT I guess that's all you can expect from this league....I don't know where the hell the tsn panel left the 'protect the qb.' out of their discussion, that the league is trying to promote.... it sure leaves them with a credibility issue....I'm glad OSH and Zack let the league know where they stand....This kind of crap the riders promote has to stop....It almost cost Masoli his career ,if it hasn't already

I realize there are a lot of comments regarding the game, the headbutt on Zack etc. However I wanted to first of all thank the folks that took my gang to the game in Regina (we came in from Calgary - stayed in Moosejaw). We had great seats with a bunch of long term Rider Season Ticket Holders. Very knowledgeable regarding CFL football and of course all were Rider fans. However they welcomed us Bomber fans with open arms and shared a few cold ones along with lots of good natured banter back and forth. The stadium (this is my second Labor Day Classic) is very nice. The food was good (for stadium grub). We had a big BBQ pregame so all I had was a few cold ones). Bottom line IMHO fans are fans everywhere and most if not just about all are good people regardless of the team they support.

Now on to the Banjo Bowl and here is hoping the Bombers lay a 50 point smackdown on the Riders!! PS I tried to get my boss (wifey) to let me drive to the Peg for the Banjo Bowl but I guess I overextended my allowance at the Casino in Moosejaw😩

I've been to 3 LD Games over the years. The first one in 1974, the Bombers kicked a walk off FG to win the game. The drunk Rider fan right below me broke his whiskey bottle & held the neck shard threatening to stab me until he was hustled away by his buddies. The next time in 1988, we lost something like 50-7. I was wearing a Bomber cap & had a beer poured all over me from above as I exited the stadium. So please, after nearly being hospitalized by a drunk wacko Rider fan who was going to stab me & a free beer shower I'll never have nice things to say about Rider fans at Mosaic Stadium no matter how poetic you wax about how nice they are. They're not. Ninety five per cent are dinks. Now away from that place most become Homo Sapiens again & rejoin the human race.

Somewhere Bluto is laughing right now....

Whatever, @bluto is just a troll now.

I was happy for him and the other 7 argo fans for having a competitive team.. but yeah, they can go back to obsc.... never mind, they are still irrelevant.

The only thing i have ever seen live comparable to this was in Thanksgiving 2010 when a BC lion defensive linemen punched one of our o linemen in the stomach during play

Refs called it right ... Rough play, disqualification... And immediately stepped in to stop before things got worse.

Of note with the headbutt tho, not only was he not disqualified, ZC had to sit 3 plays, so it actually punished us more than them, despite SSK committing the infraction.

That's a reach. He missed 1 offensive play that Prukop would have come in for anyway.

I didn't notice if the training staff came on the field or not, either way I can't see how they avoided the 3-play rule as O'Shea admitted Zach was flagged for concussion protocol.

They didn't. He was escorted off the field by a ref after the injury spotter called down to have him removed.  Haven't seen it listed if there is a set number of plays they must sit out, just that the spotter has the ability to pull a player.

I always thought the 3 play rule was a way to avoid teams abusing injury timeouts, rather than being a player safety issue?

Yeah is for sure about the stoppages.  Rule from way before they cared about safety at all.
