  3. “From Day 1, before I left, I told Coach O’Shea, I told Richie (Hall, defensive coordinator), I was telling everybody that I wanted to come back,” Rose said Wednesday in a conference call with local media from his offseason home in Los Angeles. “So, the process was pretty much me being patient and just seeing where the pieces fall. I was waiting for my time and waiting for when they were going to offer me.” “When Kyle (Walters, Blue Bombers GM) hit my agent and sent him an offer I told my agent I’m good with the offer, there’s just some things I want to switch around. Other than that, I was good with my offer, and I already knew I was coming back to Winnipeg.”

  4. A guy goes through all the work to become an Investment Advisor and now the Bombers "got him a job". I pretty sure he earned the job he received.

  6. Ryan was not a good CFL punter when he came back. I know that the Riders faithful thinking booming kicks into the end zone is a winning strategy but it wasn't. The Riders team knows this, which is why they are moving on. However, Ryan had a long career and could have just retired after leaving the Seachickens. I doubt the money he got from the Riders made much of a difference in his life but he chose to come back to play for his home team. I have a lot of respect for him for doing something that he just wanted to do. Also, the Ryan's have donated money to the Regina Rams. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatchewan/meet-the-riders-jon-ryan-1.5266749 https://regina.ctvnews.ca/jon-ryan-and-family-establish-scholarship-with-record-setting-donation-1.5655861 I have a lot of respect for him despite some of the jerseys he wore.

it's not gonna be MacKay.....it'll be someone crazy like Pollievre, that they can use to merge with PPC. They want to drift further right, not left.

  12. Based on all the bold names Walters is killing it. Few of the unsigned ones are NFL losses so nothing to be done for that. Just amazing the team they have built where guys just want to come back.

  15. Never doubted Bailey being back...I think he like Woli....it's here or nowhere for guys like that...I think Walters maybe has told Lawler...here's what we have for you, and is movin to sign other guys based on that...he takes it....or he walks, and that money will be used for the best available guy in free agency...and I am fine with that....especially if it allows for a Stove re-upping....I am not even worried about BA as I see him as another here or nowhere type guy, and regardless...half his salary will be off the books...so we good there, and just allows us more flexability to keep Darby...who in my opinion is key...cause he can play sam...safety...corner or halfback...and play them all at a top level...still shocked we even got him from T.O

There is no one of value left in that party. They've gone hard right to attract the PPC.

  22. People around the CFL really just have no grasp of the salary cap. At all. Especially when it comes to positions like the OL. “How can the Bombers keep Couture?!”, meanwhile he’s not even being paid like a top 2 center in the league. They also seem to think every single guy league wide gets a huge raise, as if every veteran out there played for league minimum last year or something.

I think this trucker convoy has been great for Trudeau. Getting people to choose sides between the nutjobs protesting and Trudeau really makes people sympathize with Trudeau. Having F Trudeau signs and convoy leaders open talk about him facing bullets🙄

  30. shouldn't knock Mourtada really...lets see what he does in pre-season and in camp...dude has the leg...just needs to re-acclimate to real football kicking, and a wider field...I'm sure he has been working at it all off-season already, and there is a reason he was kept around through to the Grey Cup

  32. re: Bombers WRs..... we re-signed a guy a couple weeks ago that was in camp last summer until he got hurt and missed the season. Up to that point, according to Bauming and other reports, he was a lock to make the team. Had been the best receiver in camp to that point. So there's some under the radar stuff that could happen yet...

  33. 20k is one guys number to stay. Bighill took about a 90k cut on what he could have made to stay here. Every player is different. Some guys won't take 5 cents less than a competing offer, other guys might take 50k. Pretty insane to say that 20k is the number when dealing with individuals. I would imagine we have an offer into Lawler at around the 200k mark. He either takes it or goes to play in a football crap hole. His choice. We will be fine either way.

MacKay is as useless as they come. He's had several runs at leadership and has done nothing in those races. The "great hope" for moderate conservatism is a dud. Now, if you can talk Raitt into coming back, you might not end up with the Pollievre s***hole. The party is a dumpster fire.

Uh, why? And why would MacKay want anywhere near that dumpster fire now that's he got two cushy gigs back home in NS?

  36. I am happy to see Showtime Sheed back. On twitter, he mentioned studying a lot of Deebo Samuel on film which is a role I think he'd excel at here. I'd also like to take some credit. I posted about wanting to see a WR signing and the same morning we get this. Walters clearly follows my posts. 😉🤣

  37. In fairness to Ballsy, he's nothing if not consistent, he's been accusing us of circumventing the cap ever since we signed Jefferson.

  38. Good deal. Glad he's back and hope he can continue to grow from his mid season form. The key fa list is getting pretty short. Walters is killing it.

  39. Not surprised Rasheed re-signed, I was honestly shocked it took this long. Probably was because of Lawler holding things up more than anything. I ran into him in the Bomber store last year and had a short conversation with him. He told me straight up, and I know all players say crap like this but it seemed very genuine, that he will either retire after a long and illustrious NFL career or he will retire a Bomber.

  40. What some people don’t get is an echo chamber can be filled with similar and differing viewpoints but all involved coming from a well thought out highly informed perspectives that acknowledges each of it’s limitations and biases. It’s called having a good discussion with the intent of wanting to get it right not wanting to be right.

  42. I have been saying for ages that once the initial frenzy dies down there's going to be a significant number of good solid players who are left looking at smaller pieces of the pie available and there will be some value to be had because salary cap.
