Dru has an excellent arm to go with a quick release....Look at the successful qb's in the league presently...and Dru is of that caliber ...I see him as good as Alexander and Harris and given time he will be even better than those two....Ottawa didn't know what they had.....

So on one hand Collaros is a piece of **** who can’t make a throw but half the league are lined up to trade their franchise players for him….got it.

I wouldn't do that trade. For one, Brown hasn't exactly been the picture of health the past 2 seasons. He's had a number of injuries that kept him out for a significant number of games. Walters would be rolling the dice nothing would happen. Two, getting rid of Collaros would probably curse this team. We saw what Hamilton is going thru. Alexander in Montreal looks like he's having hammy issues again. There's no real backup plan with the Als, either. The Riders are one hit away from not repeating as GC champs if Harris goes down. I don't care who is available in a trade & what we might get for Collaros, trading him to Hamilton would be a foolish move. Given Brown's health history. Dolegala is cooked.

My sweat is sweating, Idr a hotter temp in manitoba. Yeah, drus' accuracy/touch/timing is some thing we haven't had in a dogs age. We should be developing Vaval as a package guy, maybe even on both sides of the ball. You can't tell me he isn't better as the deepest safety then Kelly or Kramdi. Have him treat it like a punt, read the qb, flow to the ball. We have a few guys who just flow to the ball but can't get to the position in time. On offence, the big guy who can't block big guys or the wr who can't run. Stick vaval in on jet sweep, maybe some sweep/pa toss, and screen plays. We don't need him running skinny posts or deep outs, just catch and run. At Ol, Poncius had some flashes in pre season but hate to see a true rookie starting at T. Maybe we get super lucky with Manu coming up though. Even if Vanterpool gets healthy, I don't think he's the answer at RT. Improvements but not the answer.

Not only that but you can't make a guy sign. Powell did what he thought was best for him. He went to Edmonton because Fajardo was openly talking about retiring so he felt his best bet to be a starter was there. We went through a similar process with Dru before he went to Ottawa.

Moving out QBs for no apparent reason is horrid roster management. Anyone suggesting this but criticizing MOS for roster management have really lost the plot. For the first time in several years we have a 1A and a 1B. One is old but capable, the other is also capable but injury prone. Together our QBing is in a good place, apart we are going back to a first year backup. That would not be wise. Neither Collaros, nor Brown, should be trusted to play the full slate of games.

I think we're absolutely dreaming if we think Hamilton is offering up Kiondre Smith for Zach Collaros. Nevermind a plus. 12 games of a washed up starting QB plus playoffs for one of the top Canadian receivers in the league, in his prime?

The level of pain iI'm experiencing s anywhere from bad to excruciating. I'm on Oxycodone for pain relief. I'll be switching to Tylenol 3's & 4's tomorrow. So, I am probably being affected by the pain meds in some ways which would account for why I called Powell Kevin instead of Taylor. I'm going to be bed ridden for the next 8-10 weeks minimum which is depressing because my summer is over. We had planned on takin g a trip along the Oregon coast in August that i was looking forward to. At least I made it to Kelowna for the CFL game. So, I am struggling right now. Although, I'm not looking for sympathy.

Taylor Powell has thrown 60 passes in the last 2 1/4 seasons. He didn’t face plant in 2023 as a rookie but he hasn’t got a lot of reps. Wouldn’t remotely call him proven.

Just getting caught up on the CFL this morning ... Awe up to his old tricks with a late hit against VAJ that deserves some supplemental discipline.
