  1. I think whomever is planting their flag in the ground and saying "it's all this guys fault" is incredibly short sighted. I wish I could live in a world where everything was so black and white. To go from where we were at a few short seasons ago to where we are now, multiple guys get to wear the horns. Even acknowledging all of that, we are an organization that's enjoyed an unparalleled level of success (on and off the field) these last several years.

  7. Chris Jones would be so happy that someone FINALLY understands lol Accountability goes like this; First, Wade, 100% responsible. Then Walters, 100% accountable. Next Mos with 100%. Accountability doesn't break down into portions. Its whole or none. Now, in terms of correcting their mistakes, Walters is, imo, 60% to where he needs to be. He needs an excellent free agent period for the first time since probably before the 2021 season. His drafting has turned back around, as has our rookie-level recruiting. Wade is 30%. He has less direct impact, but I think bringing back both Walters and Mos was soft, unless he's really laid down the law and fixed that whole mess of complacency. Mos is 5% the way there. Now, Walters is facing the off-season and the bulk of his work. Which could look like an A plus and be much worse when the season begins. And Mos won't really begin to start till TC. But I haven't seen anything from him that makes me think he will change course and actually correct anything. I hope I am wrong on that, but actions are needed.

  8. I think the biggest thing to take away from all the blame being thrown around, is that absolutely nobody here has a ******* clue what's going on behind the scenes. Blame Walters, Blame Osh, Blame Wade, Blame Scouts, Blame the OC, Blame Players.... Nobody really knows and never will. As always, the answer is likely somewhere in the middle... Or, at least, everyone accepts at least a little bit of blame for how it went down.

  9. I think Hogan went into the Bomber file cabinet and accidentally photo copied Marcel Bellfeuille's playbook by mistake and didn't realize it until game 14 when it was too late to change.

  10. Artopoeus? I’d still like to see them bring in an experienced 4th (5th if Elgersma makes his way here) QB for competition. UFL MVP or not, I don’t like the idea of half a year before the season starts, handing the backup job to a QB who’s never played a down of CFL football.

  12. I blame the guy who purposely avoids putting the best players on the field which would then give us the best chance at winning.

  13. I think that our new scouting staff is off to a decent start as they have found a few keepers already. You're only going to have so many rookies making an impact (especially with this HC) and they brought in Vavel, Woodbey & Allen this year. If Perkins amounts to anything up here, you can credit Sunderland for that since he's been after him since at least 2019. That said - DB & LB was not our biggest weak spot going so if, during this off-season, they want to focus on getting some stud DL's signed, that'd be much appreciated!

  14. All this hate being heaped on Walters... does anyone else think that he may have been a victim of our less than stellar talent scouts? I mean we lost two maybe three impactful talent scouts since 2019. I feel that may be part of the reason for our lack of talent across the board. Don't get me wrong- KW does deserve a good portion o the blame.

  16. Truth is you have no idea whether the team made the decision to move on from Hogan or not but ALL indications are that they have by actively interviewing other people for the job. Some arbitrary deadline you make up in your head doesn't mean anything.

  25. Lawson's second last paragraph in the story of his signing...and what he said...he gets it and see's it....Our HC/GM totally are the definition of what he said...so they best be doing their respective jobs again like their professional careers depended on it but when your 1's look like crap...pedestrian or are in the tub yet get the starting spot first game...justify that And just cause nobody signs our newbie cuts....doesnt mean they cant play....nobody does that at the start of the season basically with any teams cuts...maybe a surprise vet cut yeah....but rook's....hardly ever and I highly doubt if we made surprise cuts of Thomas..Kolo...Schmeck...Hallett..Korn...amoung other turds of recent yrs many teams would be crawling over each other tosign them and dump a player off thier roster...letalone start them like they were here And we have seen every rook who finally got a chance in a game...showed well and would have been even better by season's end if played...all the while the dead weight the HC favors....just continued to suck And of pre-season os a big nothing burger and doesnt matter when a guy or guys jump of the page and make plays...then why bother having it? To say that the talent brought in the last 2 camps that was cut for crap players who were holdovers just isnt justified....You dont know until you play...what we did know tho...is the guys kept...were not adequate...and end of the day the HC sets his roster, makes the bone headed in game moves...creates piss poor depth charts...over uses sub par Canadians...neglects using rules to our benefit cause his personal opionion of them is he doesnt like them...runs country club unproductive TC's....if Walter's had a major flaw it was not holding Osh's feet to the fire...and .just outright release guys from under his nose to eliminate the chance for him to play certain guys, and told him when he had his shouting pouting fits with roster/player discussion to suck it up and deal with it as he is not the Boss here......or hit the highway Hopefully thats all cleaned up now...or we will see much the same

  28. He brought in the pieces to fix the issues. Mos didn't use them. Yes, he could've tried pushing Mos more. But he isn't the big boss either; that is Wade. Walters talked about how every personnel discussion used to be a fight with Mos and how it's changed post Grey Cup wins. It sure seems like the power structure from the top down does not go Wade to Walters, then to Mos. At this point, the ultimate responsibility and failure to maintain the contender we had falls to Miller. We hemorrhaged front office types, coaches, as well as players. That doesn't all fall on Walters. We had the pieces to win 2 more Grey Cups. You can't understand justifying a guy who was stuck in the middle, but still producing in Walters, but you can for Mos, who hasn't executed his job with any level of competence in years. Guys like Vaval, Allen, and Woodbey aren't bare minimums across the league, nor are all the other additions you chose to omit.

  35. Personally I enjoyed watching Dressler when he played for us. Doesn’t really bother me if a player comes from the Riders or any other team (we wash the stink off real quick) unless there are huge mitigating factors of said player where they have compromised the values they espouse as a club and as a community.

  40. One hit to the knees & both guys are done. Again. Bringing them back even after a 2 year absence is madness. Time to let them go. Rehab whatever they are entitled to & then cut them. Nield would be a welcome addition here. He can run downfield & make contested catches. Clercius is a tank. And runs like one. Can any former Rider receivers ever find happiness in the Blue & Gold? Would we Bomber fans accept Emilus or Nield? Look how hard it was for both Ryan Smith & Weston Dressler to play here. There was always a small group of Bomber fans who never forgave them for being former Riders.
