Averages aren't everything. Evans was hitting angles, he wasn't suddenly shanking punts. Also, in the first game Evans averaged 53.5 to Sheahans 43. I would've gone with Evans, but I get PRing him. I understand that we can't force him and that he left for a chance to actually play. That alone, should tell you all you need to know though. The riders wouldn't have been scooping sheahan.

Imo, the change happened because holding has become extremely rare on the ol. Ols have adjusted and mug freely, so defences aren’t playing for quick pressures because it just doesn’t happen consistently enough. It’s only a matter of time before teams adjust pressure tactics though.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers made a move that surprised some fans during their post-training camp cuts, keeping veteran receiver Dillon Mitchell while releasing second-year target Myron Mitchell. Really? Fans were surprised? Which ones? We kept the vet free agent over a 1nd year guy who underwhelmed in year 1... this is a shocker!

I agree, though Evan’s didn’t shank any and has astronomical leg talent and potential and is just 23/24.

We should have just gave him the job.

Potentially Mitchell gets back to the form he displayed previously and potentially White rebounds to what he did previously and potentially Wheatfall breaks out in year. Of course, as Charles Barkley once said, potential is a french word for has not done it yet.

Other tidbits from the show, Global punter Evans refused PR offer, he signed with Riders today. Cooley was O'Shea's favourite player in pre-season, loved how he played without the ball, absolutely punished players he blocked.

Rourke would do well to be a top 4 QB in this league this season. The MOP hype is kind of silly.

nope....the fact that he cant really kick a team out of scoring range is problematic...especially in a league where 80% of games are decided by 5 or less points....That and his kicks 9 times outta ten allow forthe returner to get ball and a good 15 yards of field and in high gear before anyone is close to him...or have to try and find a lane or seam....totally defeating thepurpose or negating your coverage schemes Evans was also a trained punter in American football for yrs....and has technique and form...and got ball off in 2 steps...Sheehan wasnt...has horrible technique...the time it takes to get it off could be timed with a sundial....and will get severl blocked again this yr...had way too many close calls last year...and also some blocked ...one of which was in playoffs was it not...teams are on to his set up and know how to attack it..I see several blocks this yr...

I mean we PR'd Reggie White who looked pretty good, have Sterns and Dillon Mitchell active, one of whom won't likely be able to dress when we have to put together a game roster. All 3 of those guys are 750-800 yard receivers in this league in their careers so far (projected 18 games). It's deep. Probably missing the number of high end guys we're used to unless Wheatfall's pre-season carries into real games. Hamilton's next American receiver up is Josh Johnson. It's all hearsay on guys who've barely played until real games start.

Kudos for doing what many predictors fail to do: have the correct total of games league-wide, i.e. wins and losses both add up to 81. Well done!

Bailey is not gonna look global Hansen was raw...and had no real experience in n.american football...Bailey is well integrated in it..to point scouts thought he was an American Person is so intruigung...as he can play on line...but athletically and body type can play outside linebacker...Jack type stuff...just look at him and it screams NFL outside 4 set linebacker visuals...if he gets on roster and plays a lot..he will get NFL interest in fall...he was a legit NFL prospect

I come to that conclusion also referencing the pre-game show from pre-season game one where they were talking about vets who might be at risk of either being cut or losing playing time... and Ed Tait went on to say (paraphrasing here) "a lot of fans will be shocked to hear this but I think Jake Thomas will start getting less reps this year"... All preseason games will have been played by tonight (Friday). Final cutdown day is Saturday (May 31), and a whole new season kicks off on Thursday. Been a long winter and glad football is back. Lets F'n go! Pick 'Ems are back this year. How do they work? Each week you pick the winners for all CFL games (including playoffs). You get one point for every correct pick. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins a $50 gift certificate at the Bomber store. Picks will be done through the polling system. Polls close at game start of the first game of the week. I will accept picks for games that have not started yet through PMs if you are late getting them in. Picks this week need to be in by 8PM Thursday, June 5th If you want an idea of what it takes to win it all, and who your competition might be, here is list of the top winners over the last decade. Quite a few recurring names in there.

As someone who has owned restaurants and mobile concessions, I cannot recommend enough that you avoid the dine in restaurant model enough. Restaurants are the one business I would never recommend anyone to get into. You can do everything right and still fail. There is so little margin for error because margins are so low. I had a restaurant that was doing around a million a year in business and it was profitable, but it was far from a gold mine. After all was said and done, with my wife and I working full time we figured it out that we were making about 9 bucks an hour for our time.

The early roster from I think dt? Didn’t have Kelly on the ir but it could’ve been an over sight. He was transferred to the 6 back on the 11th I think? Probably won’t get ir/ar updates till next week. Lawson might need a week or two, played a decent bit in week two but not a ton. Same here.
