President Donald Trump said Wednesday the federal government will not be extending its coronavirus social distancing guidelines once they expire Thursday, and his son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, predicted that by July the country will be “really rocking again.”

Actually, most of these States opening up, don't even meet the stated criteria of the recently announced Federal Government guidelines..... for doing so.   Direction, leadership....nada.

CBC News Alerts -
Canada's national coronavirus modelling forecast shows that  as of Monday morning, the median age for an infected person is 52, with a gender breakdown of 55% female and 45% male. Percentage of cases requiring hospitalization is 17.1%, with 5.5% of cases resulting in death.

Here's an article about how more men are dying from COVID-19 than women although the article doesn't mention the rates in Canada:

We always heard that he was such a dynamic business genius that was going to lead the nation to greatness once again. I wonder how many are believing that to be the case now.

Dafuq?

I have no love for HRC, but to say that she was equally bad? give your head a shake man. She 100% would have been a much more competent and less corrupt choice than the asshat-in-chief. 100%.

Tell me I'm wrong- with evidence. For every negative thing you can name for HRC, I can easily give you a litany of the same **** trump has done.

Clinton would have been just fine as a President. Never mind compared to Drumpfy. And Biden, comparitavely, will seem like Obama 2.0

Even if HC was horrible, like Carter bad, she'd still be better then Trump.

Trump makes horrible politicians look better.  ex Ford, Johnson, Duterte, Putin

A little story from summer of 2016, we have a store in MN and I was visiting the staff there in July 2016 while the Democratic Convention was on. We have staff from both sides of the isle and they were constantly at each other about this or that. In an effort to smooth things down and get everyone more focused on work we had a discussion about the pros and cons of each.

In the end the consensus was this. If Clinton and Trump were the best people that could be convinced to lead those parties the USA was fugged. Reasonable people in the USA knew that this period was going to be hard on the nation, they were just at a loss as to what to do about it. They knew then that by 2020 the nation would be a very divided and acrimonious place.

There was nothing wrong with hillary clinton.... she just wasn't inspiring and would have been more of the same old same old. Trump was the outsider. Too bad people are too stupid to know that he only played a successful businessman on tv

In reality he is a failure and wannabe mob  boss.

Us got what they deserved it's just too bad it's ******* the rest of the world too.

What sank Hillary was that the majority of Democrats really wanted Bernie, but the party bosses moved heaven and earth in order to stack the deck against him, as they thought he was too left-wing, even though he was polling well. The Democrats who supported Bernie were bitterly disappointed and went silent, ensuring Trump's win. Even so, it took an intervention by their electoral college to overrule the popular vote, which was bizarre to say the least.

As much as I prefer Bernie to Hillary, this just isn't true.  Yes, the primary process had problems, but the margin of her victory was large enough.

Despite what social media suggests today, most people in those heady days of 2016 were still centrists and I suspect that is still the preference today, despite the rhetoric.  Bernie Bros that either voted for Trump out of spite or sat out the election are either too stupid or too immature to realize that progress is slow when done peacefully and that the Republicans are more than willing to move things backwards.

Bernie has successfully shifted policy discussion to the left and that is great. Democrats were afraid to label themselves as "liberal" less than 10 years ago, but now some are getting elected as Democratic Socialists.  That's progress.  I actually think that the U.S. can afford what he's proposing, but it's going to take a while to get there.

Soooooooo......... COVID19?

I came across a piece from Ed Yong, a staff writer from the Atlantic who covers science and did a piece on this gross plague.

The piece is called:

Why the Coronavirus is so confusing: A guide to making sense of a problem that is now too big for any one person to fully comprehend.

It's a fairly long read but it does read and feel, at least to me, quite objective in a matter of fact way not  a all is great or all is bad type tone.

Sorry my lack of IT ability couldn't  insert the link.

Anyone interested I'm sure can just do a google search or insert the link for me with with my thank you in-advance.
