  1. He’s got a similar disregard for outsiders, and a similar stubborn arrogance. He hasn’t gone full kelly though and I don’t think he ever would. he’s also earned far more as a hc than kelly up here.

  5. nah canadian college qb is not getting the call up after one season here, unless he throws for numbers that would make doug flutie blush. I think we all remember that time late in milts career when he was plastered over the middle and out old twitching on the field. then came two and jumped up but was clearly confused and wobbly. He played in a far worse era for player safety. He isn’t the guy to say some thing for clicks or throw out calls for retirement lightly. I understand what mos is trying to say, but I think all the needed info IS available. you have a qb who turns 39 in a couple weeks, who has been knocked out of games 3 times this year due to high hits, who hasn’t been 100% in about 2.5-3 years, and who has more concussion history than the entire rest of the west division. Not an exaggeration either. In grappling they say “every thing below the eyes is the neck”, in football especially for qbs/concussions every thing from the shoulders up is the head. if you get whacked in the neck, it jostles your brain. smashed with a clean hit in the shoulder pads, rattles the cage. So when you see a qb with concussion history’s head hit 3 times and once bounce off the turf, it’s a concussion issue. After concussions, every injury near the head causes issues. no such thing as close but didn’t cause issues at that point. Post concussion syndrome/ppcs is no joke.

  6. Milt isn't saying anything that fans haven't been saying for years. He's not making any call as he has no say in anything - just voicing his opinion which is his job as a panelist. People don't need to know all the details to know that repeated head trauma is not good and ZC has had more than his fair share.

  7. Imo, if we jettisoned the thomas and kola, fixed the ratio on the lines to have the best talent possible, we’d see significant improvement. But i don’t think mos will have any willingness to make those moves. None at all.

  9. Imho all Milt is doing is offering his opinion up from a caring point of view. I think it's obvious that Milt is not intimate with the details, ZC is not obligated to listen to him but eyes don't lie in what ZC has endured over his career. I don't see how it's meant to hurt him or his family but that's just me.

  10. I'm thinking it's more Milt has strong care and concern for ZC's long-term health than getting his likes up but that's just my guess.

  13. The offense was much worse than the defense, there is no question about that. The teams that will win when 2 interceptions are given up in scoring territory, are few and far between. BUT - the Ti-Cats are a team that doesn't run the ball very much. They chose to run the ball and manage the game in the second half, because they knew they could. That speaks volumes.

  14. It's sad watching Streveler play now. His game was built on athleticism, not being a great passer. And he's probably never going to be more than about 80% of what he was. He's not enough of a threat to do anything with his legs so there's so little attention paid to him by the D and way less space for the receivers to operate. And he's not accurate enough to manage a game to the point of being a winning QB in those conditions against a good team.

  16. I’m forever grateful for the ascent of 2016-18 and kings of the mountain 2019-21… but the last few endings have soured me on the Bombers saying they value the person/player first. When I read O’Shea’s quote from Tait, “But as of anything, any time a guy gets nicked up we are always going to put the player first.” Sadly my first thought was calling BS. I’m sure he thinks and believes this. However, his actions from ZC to Bighill, Bailey, Schoen and many others (even Wallace last game) show that maybe he doesn’t really know what that means… that or the Bombers medical staff is negligent or being overruled.

He’s supposed to be in control of his body and not let his head slam into zachs lol. that’s not one point of failure on his part, it’s two. he has to not contact the qb high, and has to be in control of his own head. It was 100% a penalty, it was not some horrid dirty hit though. I don’t expect supplementary discipline and i don’t think it’s needed.

  22. Every week same problems, recognition and change from coaches? TBD but probably not. We killed the league when our lines dominated, now we have a bloody useless defensive line and a bad offensive line. Lapo highlighted a couple plays early showing why kolankowski is a useless sack of ****. Seriously it's a huge issue when the pocket has no chance when all you have to do is put a guy on top of the centre. Do we try and do anything? Nah we good.

  25. Man, I really wanted Strev to be the guy. He's so likeable, personable, passionate and leaves it all on the field. To paraphrase Picard who paraphrased Melville, "If his chest had been a cannon he would have shot his heart upon it"...but alas he is not. He just looks lost out there. Hanging on to the ball too long and when he does finally pull the trigger you wind up suffering a minor coronary damn near every time. He's so likeable I feel bad for even stating obvious truths about him...but he just doesn't measure up to any other backup in the league. Will never forget the fire, passion and role he played in the Bomber's Cup wins but, in the words of Sinatra, "And now, the end is near".

  28. we are rolling 6 dl with 3 canadians. every other team is rolling 8+ with 6 or more imps, except for one team with a very good canadian pass rusher. We are the only team under rostering dl, and filling half the spots with fringe roster guys. truth. a couple people on here are soo lost in cognitive dissonance from their unwavering faith in the mafia doing no wrong and the fact we have been at best a fringe play off team for two years, outside of the insanely flukey stretch streak last year.
    6 points
  29. we are starting 9 canadians. we could go down plus use the naturalized rule. We also have ayers who doesn’t play D and isn’t a DL, and we have 3 back up imp dbs. wouldn’t be hard to rebalance the line to stick in a couple more imps even into the starting line up.

  30. He might want to go back and watch the film on his ear hole hit. As for him charging that one of our lineman intentionally dove at his knees, I would suggest then going to his coach, get the gametape that shows it and submit it into the league for review.

  31. They won't either. Milt just lost a son so I won't say anything about him. However, I think Osh is a freaking hypocrite saying tht he cares about player safety. Sure... Yeah, like what he did to Schoen this year. The Collaros finger injury in last year's Grey Cup. The injured he started & played in the 2023 Grey Cup. Some, like Biggie, Collaros, Alexander & Demski couldn't run. Osh needs to shut his pie hole when saying that injuries are no one's business but the team & that he cares about player safety because to me he doesn't show it. If the team announced injuries like they used to I believe this kind of bullshit wouldn't happen as questions would be asked as to why an injured player who is supposed to be 6 gamed are still playing.

  33. Listening to Oshea on CJOB I'm done with him. His act worked when the team was winning, but it's tired and played out. He was spouting off about "hey were the same record we were last year at this time, it's not the way we wanted but it's the same". There's nothing close to the same. I can't remember a game last year we scored 0 points in a half not to mention multiple times. The absolute inept offense. The terrible play calling. I gues the only thing that would be similar is the head scratching roster... that continues to get worse.

  37. what sets him apart is 1, he’s the only lber worth a damn when it comes to pass rushing, and 2 he’s the only guy who can be a run stop mlb and can get back in pass cover. We love to blitz lbers and none of them are effective not just in pass rush but even in eating a block. Kyrie is capable in the run game if he’s not blocked. he can’t get off blocks or close gaps with linemen in them. jones would be the front runner for modp, if he was capable in pass D. he’s been in the area but just not getting deep enough because he has no coverage instincts or ability to read the qb/play. he’s great at scraping to the ball but that’s it. All he brings is the ability to run after ball carriers. thats good in the run game but not in coverage. And the cfl is a passing league. Lber is the least impactful position in the cfl, unless you have some monster like wynton. Which is why soo many teams are flipping the ratio at lber. it makes so much more sense to start a canadian at lber especially if they are athletic outliers. The roster impact you might lose in starting smith/shay, vs what you could get back 4 fold with adams/woods or lofton/4th imp ol. And for my money, shay/smith platooning with J jones you gain a lot. because you won’t have to hide a lber. and you don’t have to dress an imp db to play wil.

  39. The reason I pick him is because he's a supposed leader, and you don't send as much of a message just benching anyone. Like Thomas just sucks, but he gives it his all. You sit down a star for inconsistent effort it forces everyone to look in the mirror.

  40. I would start by turning the WIL spot to a Canadian spot. You have that, you have Kramdi and the rest of the D is flexible. Open up another 2 American spots, use one on O, one on DL. Woodbey, Wilson, Ayres...no more than 1 of them should be dressed unless you're going to try to use Woodbey or Ayres as an edge rusher. I'd pretty quickly consider going to 4 Americans on the OL. Because we aren't going anywhere with this group. Way too inconsistent both run and pass. Not going to unearth a Canadian out of nowhere and the ones we have can't play. Dressing 2 of that group of Canadians would be all I could stomach. Would be looking at calling back guys we cut, had a crapload of Americans in camp, or guys from other CFL camps. See if you can stabilize for rest of season. I'd be looking for another receiver/RB/returner option. Echols could be it. But should be trying to sign others for a look. Looking for a spark from someone as a playmaker in the last third. Guys like Mitchell, Wheatfall, easy to drop them while looking for that spark because they are providing nothing most weeks.

  44. I think what no one can get around no matter how they explain it away that staying status quo with this edition of our WBB gets exactly what we’re getting now. We’re 13 games into the season, we’re well past the ‘we’re working out the kinks, working thru the adversity, stay the course’.

  45. Love Streveler, but he’s not good enough. Not sure how that can be argued. If we roll him out again next week, I might have to join the group wanting a coaching change. Find out what Wilson is now so we’ll know before the offseason. I’m not optimistic, but I’d like to see.

  46. Most coaches look at their roster & makes changes. They move gujys around. They do what they have to do to try to win. Not Osh. He just plays the same lineup. He makes changes only if there are injuries. He just says everyone's a starter.

  47. Listening to the post game, O’Shea said Strevelers play was gritty and made some great throws, and that not once did he think about making a change at quarterback. Absolutely delusional.

It just astounds me that people can watch collaros throw ints that cost the team 2 scores, and momentum and turn around and blame the backup qb.

  49. The whole DL should be replaced. Jefferson has had one great game this season. Doesn't get off the line, trying to read QB eyes. Vaughters has done basically nothing and is now being run at. Major off-season mistakes.
