These never-ending bad faith arguments are awfully tiresome and benefit no one. Rationally, a single politician isn't responsible for all the problems a nation or its populace faces, either in terms of the quantity or the intensity. All levels of gov't presently in power are responsible; they should all be held accountable and reasonable criticism should be levied at our political representatives regardless of party. (To say nothing about profit-driven corporate interests that influence gov'ts and continue to get away with gouging us over necessities like food, housing, and energy. That's another discussion, though.) Objectively, Canada doesn't exist in a vacuum; global issues affect this country the same as any other. The complex nature of geopolitics and socioeconomics on the world stage as it relates to our country's position both presently and historically means nobody gets a free pass. Those factors have influenced our nation since its very inception over a century and a half ago, so giving one individual currently holding political office a free pass is neither reasonable nor accurate. You're the last person who should be deriding others about stupid refrains, BTW. You admitted a while ago you only troll this thread for "entertainment." Do better.

You want a balanced budget then let's talk about the way to achieve that... raising taxes, particularly on corporations and the super wealthy.... but no-one is talking about that.

While Conservative Provincial governments are hiding record transfers from the Feds in order to cut taxes for their wealthy donors instead of improving or implementing their own social safety nets to help those poor people you mention. Conservatives have always been about punching down. I don't know how you don't see it.

Yikes. Trudeau is a spoiled rich kid who is woefully out of touch with the common person. For him it's not theatre so much as just not having a clue. Pollievre on the other hand is a career politician who hasn't had any sort of job outside of politics. He is grandstanding because everything to him is about trying to score political points. That is far worse than Trudeau IMO.

Would it though? Or would Milhouse just yell and scream if it didn't say what he wanted it to? This is all theatre plain and simple.

  16. Who says this? No one on these boards. No one i know says this. Just you and a smattering of Milhouse supporters i reckon. The inquiry is going to be redacted to hell - everyone knows this... its the nature of the subject of the investigation. And Milhouse is going to yell an scream to whip up a frenzy for his followers about how the deepstate, anyifa soros... blah blah blah **** Trudeau! And those dumb clucks are going lap that **** up. Tax cuts are essentially directly contribute to deficit spending in a big way.

re Justin being born wealthy, and being spoiled.... probably not the case. "Justin’s company, had assets worth $1,242,522 as of August 2011, according to a statement prepared by accounting firm BDO. Of this amount, $958,154 was held in short-term investments and $255,455 in cash. The Trudeaus are also beneficiaries of another numbered company that receives royalties from their father’s autobiography and other sources – about $10,000 a year, Trudeau estimates." that was his inheritance. https://globalnews.ca/news/392961/justin-trudeau-reveals-details-of-his-1-2-million-inheritance/ good article with more i fo. I lived through Pierre years. He did not seem like the type to spoil his kids. seemed the opposite actually. * I wish we had someone like Pierre Trudeau now. somebody with enough guts to deal with these right wing liars. Pierre would have eaten the likes of polievre for breakfast.

In order for an inquiry to be of any value, it would have to disclose how CSIS conducts surveillance and gathers intel on not only Chinese activities but also on other foreign entities such as Xiaomi and, by extension, how it interacts with other Five Eyes agencies. Disclosure of this sort would destroy interagency relationships. Mr. PP can huff and puff and posture all he wants- he would have been told exactly this. Johnston's reputation remains intact so long as he does not act as a cats's paw for the Cons.

David Johnson such a Trudeau lackey that Stephen Harper appointed him governor General.... given how much Harper despised everything Trudeau do you really think if the guy was a Trudeau stooge he would have even been in the conversation? And let's be real here, Canadian government has been cozying up to China for decades. The Chretien government loved Chinese money and the Harper government sold the country to them in a free trade deal. Foreign interference is happening from more than China sadly. We got extreme right wing Americans influencing politics up here, Russia does what Russia does with their bot farms. God knows who else. This is why it is damned important to be an informed voter.

Roast beef. I try to watch a couple of times every week. Yes, there is some dancing around the questions, but there are also answers such as: We have the best debt to GDP ratio in the G7 We are helping Canadians with various rebates etc. etc. etc. Both sides are playing the politics game. The one MP who asks good questions and makes good points on a regular basis - would be Daniel Blaikie of the NDP

Actually the Liberals have done incredibly well for the economy... it came roaring back hugely after the worst of the pandemic and still manages to keep growing after the bank of Canada's interest rate hikes which are designed to slow an economy... unless you mean something else when you say economy...

Trudeau made sure his buddy David Johnson buried a federal enquiry into Chinese interference in our government, threatening elected Canadian officials & their families & elections. Ilk??? Please. Murphy should be damn happy to be on the PR and learn for awhile. And in an offense that has the best QB in the league, the 2 best receivers in the league, the best OL in the league..... And a more than competent RB...... We need a weapon???

I dont disagree with you, but an inquiry does absolutely nothing. Cons in one breathe cry about spending....while in the next want what would certainly be an expensive inquiry to tell us all what we already know....there is outside influence and there's basically sweet **** all we can do about it. Do I think the last election was impacted to the extent PP wants people to believe it was....no....not even remotely close. But hey, it's not expensive if the PCs want it. Liberals were in a no win situation here. Don't call an inquiry....see response above.....call an inquiry, it's too much spending....it's not being done by the right people...if they find nothing...see above response....if they find something, liberals are at fault...PP talks about stolen elections etc etc. Blah blah blah blah, more taxes lost to some stupid political game.

They also have the Oregon winged shoulder pattern which designers are obsessed with slapping on every new set these days. This time, it’s “oars” I may be in the minority but I can’t stand the mono look for football uniforms. Our current alts as well annoy me for this reason.
