  1. Been a Bomber fan my whole life and this will be the first game I see them play live outside eof Winnipeg! Gonna feel strange.

  2. Some changes would be nice for example, a db like Allen in for Bridges or J.Jones in for T.Jones. Perhaps Griffin for Kramdi. Mitchell for Case. I expect no changes however.

  3. You know what would be nice to see, defensive reps for Shay and Smith. I mean Shay was touted as a likely #1 overall pick, who could step in and play. Is he not ready or is this just same old, same old from our coaching staff? Long term, would we not benefit from him getting reps over say Gauthier, Thomas, Kornelson etc?

  5. Maybe he's happy enough to cash that big fat cheque while doing nothing.

  6. Zach calls his concussion and history an upper-body injury and history lol. Basically confirmed it in the podcast, says he is fine but that hit looked nasty. I could see him dressing this week as a back up again but it'd be crazy to stick him back in this week.

  7. To state the obvious: all the coaching in the world cannot compensate if the player just not good enough and keeps getting sent out.

  8. Gross. I'd rather ride or die with streveler and mush brain zach than suffer through faj as starter.

  9. I would like to see some of these changes as well... was hoping to have a reasonable discussion about it... I like all your proposed changes but I'd like Allen at S and move Parker to corner... either way, I'd like to see Bridges out... also Griffin for Kramdi can't be necessarily a one for one... would have to have a Canadian DL or LB out there every rep... I also don't think Kramdi is a major problem area... For sake of discussion... When Kelly and Makonzo are healthy, I'd like to see them at 1 and 2 on the S depth and run an all-import DL... Parker could go to corner... could even sub in Shay (who is supposedly pro ready) for some reps on D... And for the love of god, let's just get our offseason additions in the lineup... K Wilson and T Jones have been average to above average... J Jones cannot possibly be a downgrade... Even if Logan and Vaval are both healthy, then we need to try Logan in the role he was brought here for... and let's just get Mitchell in the game... if he seriously is too clueless to play after months of being here, just release him already...

  10. Dillion Mitchell needs to ask for his release if he doesn’t get put on the active roster this week.

  11. yeah...another good whallop and could be curtains for the season if he back too soon and yeah...another unprepared looking performance....no answers to anything let alone adjustments and some serious changing of things needs to happen...dare I say heads roll....start with players...maybe game day responsibilities on the coaching side of things...because another stinker for similar reasons isnt a one off...or just a bad game...its a trend and what we are/have become

  12. There's no way this guy is a true Bomber fan. If he was able to get this close to O'Shea all he'd be talking about is roster management lol....

  13. A little background is in order here: The Blue Bombers first came into Batiuk’s radar in 2011 during the National Football League’s work stoppage. Needing his football fix, Batiuk, now 78, discovered the Canadian Football League. “I was looking for football to watch and found the CFL and became a fan of the Blue Bombers because they have the coolest name in football,” he said. “I started watching their games and then in Crankshaft, Dan Davis, my artist, and I would just start throwing in a Blue Bombers sweatshirt or T-shirt every now and then.” https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/07/20/crankshaft-for-the-w/

  16. Yeah run the ball...but ultimately have to execute. Streveler scrambles and loses like 15 yards to a DL in about 2.5 seconds. Guy has to understand his own limitations sooner than later. He throws the ball to the pilon from 7 ish yards into the field while his hips are parallel to the sideline. Complete arm toss so basically no velocity on that ball. Every single decision he makes from the time he takes the snap is bad and leads to the result. If he's going to be a decent QB this season he's going to have to get comfy in the pocket and move the ball out quickly. Because I'm not sure he could beat Wade Miller in a 3 cone drill right now.

  17. I just wished they would give Wilson some game time when the game was already out of hand. He's the only healthy QB we have who does have some zip on his throws. It would be nice to see what we have in him.

  18. I'm going to say the momentum one....the pick-6 is on Hogan imo.

  19. So we lose in a row by a combined score of 78-36, with both loses being by 21 points and MOS is like: Frustrating

We've had great success in signing players who have played here either through being drafted or traded for. Its free agency with guys who have never played here that we struggle.

  25. Argos have better talent than their record shows and Arbuckle was Kryptonite to the Bombers. They are due to win and might just do that at the expense of the dispirited Blue.

  27. I'll agree that his decision making process has to speed up. From just watching that play unfold I have to believe Demski was the primary receiver (who was bracketed) or Sterns running to the corner. Strev needs to come off that read quicker. If he fires the ball to the pilon while he's in the pocket, it's likely a reception and a TD. He was run down (and ear holed) by a linebacker (not a DL) but if Strev was truly confident in that knee of his, he probably would have planted a foot in the ground and turned it upfield once he broke contain and picked up a few yards making it all moot. Strev didn't 'lose like 15 yards' either - really irrelevant addition. Receiver was more concerned with making a TD grab vs securing a reception. Come back and down. Be aware. The INT doesn't happen. It still doesn't discount the fact the DB simply made a really good play. At the end of the day, you're right, they have to execute .. whether it's running the ball or making those decisions / throws quicker.

  28. The throw was fine but Strev left it a little inside (understandable throwing on the run across his body) which allowed the DB to make a great play on the ball. Had Strev missed outside or the receiver stepped down / in that INT doesn't happen. Greene just made a GREAT play on the ball. Strev gets the blame because he threw the ball but situationally (backup QB, down and distance, location on the field etc) Hogan *has* to share in some of this as does the receiver who has be aware of what's going on around him. It could all have been avoided by just running the ball .. giving it to Brady .. letting Strev roll with it .. hammering a Calgary defense who ranks in the bottom third of run defense.

  29. Drive or rideshare. Otherwise you basically have to go to Union Station by TTC to connect to Harbourfront street car which is kind of a haul. Worked out well for Reggie White.

  36. Yup...uphill battle...I think ZC needs to be on a short leash and Strev worked with and see if can develop...tailor the offence more to him... Done right he can I sure be more than serviceable...plus he is leas than 12 months post op....once he really back to form...maybe by late season...definitely next yr....you will see more of his old style and movement back People Can't fault the guy or be too critical of him now...hes just back from surgery...and gets tossed into game in an offence not geared to him...with sub par group of playmaker...U seen the potential first game and the offence kinda geared to him...quicker pace...ball out fast...and without BO as well...I bet if we were to have continued with that he would look even more polished...Can't write him off by any means currently....ZC tho...I dunno...he may be another good whallop when he gets back to out for yr...and it will obviously be in his head now...we already seen it when he got rattled against the Elks...jittery...panicking almost immediately..all the int's started...gonna get worse now...if he out a few games and we see progress in Strev..and tailor scheme...and personel more to him...and he getting wins...I'd roll with that until he shows its time not to in all honesty... Yes...him....payback was a biatch for that poor sap....we need more guys like that

  41. I said this earlier in this thread (or another one): it wasn't a bad decision to throw that ball but he needed to "miss" outside and not inside (even still, Strev did a helluva job getting it out there while on the run). It was first and goal at the 7. In my mind, this was three down territory ... run the damn ball. Hogan wears the horns on this one as much as anyone.

  44. Didn't help he called that play every series (that strev was in) before that too. I was assuming they'd fake the screen and get someone to go deep on it....but nope....another coaching fail that game.

  45. Pure speculation on my part but that’s the beauty of a discussion board, the reason Mitchell isn’t being put on the active roster is MOS and company believe that would send the wrong message to the team if they activated him that is put a player on the field with problem with work ethic, not grasping the playbook etc but in the same breath there a few active players consistently not producing at a level expected but continue to get a free pass and play cuz they earned it.

  46. Walters used to be one of the sharpest GM's in the CFL a few years ago. He was aggressive & took chances. He wasn't afraid to spend money & he had a lot of success. Lately, the past few years it's not even been close. We just can't have this kind of complacency by Walters or MOS. As far as Osh goes, some of his comments & decisions are like he lives in the 4th dimension. Things need to change.

  47. Bonds and Bridges combined had more targets, catches and receiving yards against in the 2 game series with Calgary than Wheatfall (our #2 receiver) has in 5 games. That was an exceptional torching of our corners. And no adjustment. Playing the same stupid cut cover on 2 man routes all day, every day. JY's defense isn't that small, it just got out of the pool!
