  2. I met the soon to be mother of my child at the Bomber game against B.C. our first date was August 3rd 2023 We beat the Lions 50-14, I had my last ever first date, Less then 2 years later, we have season tickets together, we bought a home, and we’re expecting our first kid together. A lot do amazing memories In a short amount of time, especially against the B.C. Lions! Go Bombers!

  4. They'd be thin out of the gate to always have 2 Canadians out on D, but it wouldn't be that bad. You'd need 2 of Kramdi, Lawson/Thomas, Munier-Bailey, Shay, Smith, Gauthier, Hallett on the field on any given snap. Chances are we will have 2 of those guys on the field anyway. If the difference is QB having time to move the ball vs QB not having time to move the ball, it's a pretty easy call.

  5. Pierce will be so dumbfounded that Strev will drop back and throw some passes.

  6. nice to see Jackson here...thats huge not wanting to see 3 imports on Oline tho....will effect our defence big time

  7. The best part of the entire Mtrl game was NO DAM HORNS....it was great, I was nervous to put the game on but alas it was just football noises, not constant honking.......the BEST upgrade for TSN broadcasts do all season....

  9. JJ looks fantastic in Blue and Gold. Welcome. ps its a Grey Cup win or bust this year so time to get to work.

  10. TSN producers really didn't want to bother showing any good replays of that hit. Issue for tackler here is hit vs form. You launch yourself into a guys upper body in this era you're probably taking a penalty. You dive at his knee/shins without the guy having a chance to react, you're getting a penalty. So make a tackle with your chest plate and a wrap. The launch here is the real problem. And any head contact is called. Doesn't matter at all what touched first or where the target was.

  11. On the one hand, if 3 import OL offer the best protection I am for it but on the other hand, man does it limit our D. Later in the year with Mackonzo and Kelly back and Shay+Smith more able to participate, sure.

  12. Not so much spy specifically but lots of dropping out 9 and being very unpredictable in coverage in terms of having different guys drop into deep thirds, different guys sit in flat/curl zones. Heavy match zone so really hard for receivers to get open, really tight windows.

  14. I think Streveler is going to need to be in the 230-250 range because I don't expect him to do much running or RPO type stuff year 1 off the ACL. That era of his career might be done. Like how he beat Ottawa last year.

  18. also, I think Streveler gets a lot of shine from the fanbase because he's got a backup QB halo on him, and we will definitely see how that halo fits on Thursday. Back in 2018-2019 he was making plays from the pocket just like a "real qb" .... but that was a long time ago. me personally I'm rooting for Ford to take that next step because the CFL always needs more young QBs. We got a few real promising ones right now with Rourke, Alexander, and Brown ... would be happy to see Ford on that list too.

  19. Million dollar talent with 2 cent attitude. Too bad, he has a ton of talent.

  20. tis true...actually a more physical one....I still say we should just start him as the "5th" receiver and incorporate him in all sorts of ways...Imagine sets with Him...BO and Logan all in the backfield?....Demski as well running in motion....sucking away who the defender for him is?....Especially if/when Pokey comes back...A unit of him Schoen, Demski and Clercius along with Cooley and Logan as the 5th guy...how could you not be succesful with that and BO as your RB??

  21. Watched the ‘22 Western final a while ago. Take aways: BB didn’t look to be spying Rourke. He only rushed a few times on broken plays, but spent most of his time in the pocket. Rasheed Bailey was a premier blocker. Alden Darby could be very good. Desmond Lawrence could be very opportunistic, but ultimately, unreliable in coverage ZC’s decision making could be very questionable. Legghio missed 2 extra points ( 1 returned for 2). Rourke cannot handle our crowd. At least 3 time count violations, plus the final hurry up was a cluster for BC. BO ripped out their heart in the second half.

  22. They should just roll with the Houdon who replaced Oullette...utilize a import elsewhere and likely save money....regardless tho with that crap oline and just the crap OC....doesnt really matter who they have...especially with Brittle Harris back behind center....They are a team in my opinion on the fine line of implosion at any moment....I also not sold on Mace either...doesnt seem like legit HC material there...tho thats what you gey when you settle....Dickyboi being another example.....Meuller the O.C too currently.....crap staff there in my opinion....and the asshattery by players you still see on the field is a rflection of the locker room cilture still permeates there from yrs ago

  24. I hope not, I'd rather him only run if it is the last option.

  25. I think Rourke's running is a real sign of his lack of maturity as a QB at this point. He takes a lot more sacks than he needs to as well because he starts looking into the rush and looking to escape to run. He hasn't developed the ability at this level to avoid staring down the rush. Maybe BC's OL last year didn't help him in that area. He looked somewhat improved in that regard yesterday. Alexander is a Dave Dickenson clone. Just zero fear and scrappy. No one has anywhere near the arm Dru Brown does. Collaros and Rourke are the only guys in his league. You watch Adams, BLM etc work from the pocket. Floating balls, off time all over the place. Guys having to work back to balls thrown behind them, dive at balls on the turf, leap at balls sailed with no velocity. You pin Adams and Ford in the pocket 90% of the game, stay patient, just wait for them to hand the ball to you. Ottawa needs to stop paying washed up Americans on D and get a OL. Start with playing a centre who can snap with his eyes up. WTF is Jacob Ruby doing there?

  26. I wonder if that is kinda gonna give Strev that Lil extra motivation to show him too...not that he needs any extra ever but it's gotta be in his mind a bit..and rightfully so

  27. 100%. but will he break ajs record for most rushing yards in their first game with a new team whose team name starts with R, and when the sun is up but not all the way out?

  31. I think the MBB answer to this question is that Strevy didn't have significantly better coaching -- particularly last year when Buck mistook him for a snowplow and got him hurt early in the season. We'll see if that take is for real on Thursday night.

  33. Contact with the head first IMO but it's almost simultaneous. Williams right shoulder is chin level at the moment of contact but comes down to chest level as he is exploding through. The receiver did duck into it a bit so I'm not sure what else Williams could have done.

  35. There is no way you can cage that dog. He's going to be running. Maybe less than before but I guarantee he's plowing through linebackers by the second quarter.

  37. Yeah oullette is way overrated and not even sure why and how...look at his career body of work...many players have come and gone with similar stats...some even better...plus guy is always hurt...

  38. I'm not sure if replacing a 30 year old, injury prone running back with a 32 year old, injury prone running back on his 3rd team in 3 years is a big an upgrade as people might think it is. Although Carey did manage to dress for a full season last year after being dumped by the Stamps due to injury concerns.

  44. That last drive against the Bombers in the West Final in 2022 was perhaps the worst 2 minute drive I have ever seen. He got off what? 5 plays while needing to drive the entire field?

  45. Kinda like his first season and how/when he ran and parts of second....before our coaching went right stupid about it,,,,basically let him play as a dual threat QB....emphasis on the QB part And he will be fine...the issues mainly coming back....speaking from experience is more mental and the body/mind sub-conscious tendency to not go full out or play tentative and not trusting it....speaking from experience coming back from 2 of those surgeries and also working with players re-habbing from it....I think he is well past that mental part, especially with the technology and way they rebuild and rehab it now I'm more concerned with Schoen initially until we see more reps..as we havnt seen much and as a receiver cutting...stop and go...going up to grab a pass and land...sometimes thy tend to take a while to get the doubt out of their mind....I wouldn't be surprised to see him kinda let up on some plays...especially in traffic and the circus type catches where he has to go up and get one be a lil touch and go
