I'm sad not to see LaFrance getting some time tomorrow. I was hoping to see Harris take the first series and then go to LaFrance for most of the balance to really see what our NI backup can do. I'm hoping to see some really good things from Demski, Simonise and Wolitarsky on Friday, as I'm convinced that having top caliber NI receivers is key to success. Also of note, I'm curious to see if they give the local Rifle players a few reps. I understand that they have stepped up in camp and have earned some respect. Andrew Ricard was in camp last year as well and got a few reps at safety in last year's pre-season game, so I'm hoping to see good things there as well. Finally, there are 2 Winnipeg based players on Edmonton: Curtis Krahn (Former Rifle) and Alex Taylor were drafted by Edmonton this year, and I always have a bias for the local guys.

Wilds biggest issue, and really only issue in my mind is how often he's getting hurt these days. Love the player, I got his number on the last jersey I bought, but if you're always hurt it's hard to make room for you.

I wanna see: Simonese: see if he is used to his skill-set..and if he can make an impact Demski: his role in Lapolice offence Augustine: can he be a legit back-up? from camp he shows good hands and nice quickness in open field Spooner: has he progressed to be a viable back-up Randle/White/Washington/other I want 2 guiys to really step up and be playmakers Nevis/Bryant: want one to really step up and take the 2nd dline spot Wilson/gause: Lets see who can be a defensive hammer and like to see if Walker/Fogg and Alexander have stepped up their game and fended off the rooks...

HIS reportedly low salary plays into his favor to keep him around, but not sure Wilson would want to sit on the PR again, or if he would be happy as on the 46 but not dressed for games. He did that for us last year so thats a gamble to ask him if you ask me...as a player if I know I can play somewhere I wasn't a fan of not dressing....though the culture here may make it more tempting to hang around and wait and not pull a TJ Thorpe..we shall see Wild too is hurt..again so I could see us putting him on the 6 game to start season and see how Wilson and or say Gause look...and if need pull him off early ans let the young guys marinate a bit more on PR/46 MAN

I'd like to see our starters on offence until the first quarter is over or they drive the field for a touchdown... whichever comes first. Except for Andrew Harris... I see no reason to give him more than one or two carries, if he plays at all. Same with Demski.. maybe a series or two. We have to be careful with those key Canadian skill players. However I want to see what we've got in these Canadian rookie receivers and Wolitarsky. Simonise, Petermann, Henry, Thera-Plamondon. What can they do? I want some combination of those guys on the field all game. Import receivers - Randle, Thompkins, Whyte, Washington. Who is going to take the limited spots behind the Big 3? Can one of these guys please unseat Lankford? We NEED a big game from one of these guys at least. Hopefully our backup QBs can get them the ball. On defence I'm curious about Kyrie Wilson, Tyneil Cooper, and Marcus Sayles. They've all played well at camp according to reports so let's see what they can do when the lights come on. I want to see a defence that isn't leaking 30-40 yard plays all night. I know it's only pre-season but they've gotta set the tone now. No more big explosion plays. And I hope we get to see Bighill clock someone real good. Then get him off the field.

It’s not hard to guess who that was last year, and in the recent past. When it became apparent that there was going to be an open competition at MLB, that automatically made us better. When we signed Bighill, well, words cannot describe what that will do for everybody connected to defence. Bighill, and the quality players brought in on defence, and the competition for each spot, will make it an exciting season for sure.

same..watched him yesterday....showed a good burst and surprisingly good hands..had a few plays too where he showed some shiftiness once in the open field. I bet would be a good special teamer as well and has proven at combine and in University to be a good blocker out of the backfield so I'm thnking he is going to see a lot of reps in the game

There are many people in this thread... What you're doing is exactly what Trump and the White House are doing - making an insult about Ivanka equal to a racist remark about an Obama aid. They are not equal. The "I think both are bad" is a deflection technique and its actually pretty deplorable. To reiterate, no one, anywhere, has said Samantha Bee's comment was appropriate. But to equate an insult to a racist slur is nothing more than an effort to diminish racism. And it's wrong. Sure they can. Words have different meanings based on context. Most people see the context here. She wasn't using the C word because she's sexist. I dont know Samantha Bee but from what I read, her being sexist would be absurd and laughable. She used a vile insult. She could have called her a B-word or a jerk or a prick. She chose the most inflammatory version of that kind of insult. I mean...this is obvious. She used it. She was wrong (because she undermined her own valid point). She apologized (much more sincerely than Roseanne). Her network apologized. It wouldnt be much of a story if the White House had provided tacit approval to the racist remark by Roseanne but got pissy over Bee's remark.

You honestly can't see a difference? Siminose certainly broke a rule while trying to make a roster/in preseason. Paid for it, and has started over. Thigpen, broke a rule while playing in the playoffs. They both broke rules and will pay for it. One did it while playing in the playoffs last year, the other did it the preseason in a different league, 2 years ago. Just take the green goggles off for a second and use your smrts.

juicing for TC 2 years ago vs Juicing during the playoffs in this league this past year..... both are bad and dumb choices, but one of them is legit cheating. I'll let you figure that out

Carter played DB...sure....but isn't a superstar at it...or even great...and if he plays more this year it will be exposed....and he isn't the best reciever either....what year has he cracked the top 5...let alone top 10...once maybe??

I feel though, that for us to compete for 1st in the west (which I think we can do) our defense doesn't need to be the best in the league...it just needs to be better, probably top 3. Our offense is a top 3 offense. Our special teams is up there. Just got to get our defense there.

Big question mark for sure....I have always been a fan of the guy....Brings it on every play BUT time catches up with us all and IF someone is better at his position you go with it...I think Ian has a future in coaching in this league...he has the smarts to better any team in this league...I hope it's with us after his playing days are done and if he gets beat out this year I hope he sticks around and we find a spot for him in the coaching ranks...AND no I'm not Wild's relative
