  1. Sure. There's a good 30-45 minutes a day on the 680 CJOB Sports Show with Christian. Plus training camp hits in sports at 625, 725, 825, 925am and 325, 425 and 525 pm. And we'll have two hours pre-game Monday starting at 1:00pm. We've hit all those topics over the first 10 days. Since I've got some time sitting in Regina: 1) We've seen Shayne Gauthier + Kyrie Wilson / Kyrie + Brian Cole as the LB combos post-Bighill. John Petrishen + Tre Thomas has been another duo from the start. Anyone else isn't getting a ton of work. 2) Liam Dobson at left guard and Eric Lofton at right tackle every day so far. I think Ted Wyman was the first to touch on it on May 12. The only time it wasn't Dobson a LG was the last day because of injuries to Eli and injury/day off for Kolankowski. Dobson shifted to center for that one. 3) Michael Chris-Ike is slowly getting more action in a FB/TE roll after his late arrival. Gabe Wallace was getting first-team reps with the injuries to Neufeld and Eli. They are by far the closest to making an impact early in the season. Clercius is down around the 3rd group of receivers. Kalra is much closer than Vlahogiannis. And Leroux is 100% going back to school, so apart from 1 day where we talked about him, we'll catch up with him next year. Gassama and Hubert appear far down the pecking order. 4) 1st team has been Haba and Fox since day 1. 5) KJ Hill never seemed to get above the third group. And when he got hurt and wasn't going to recover in time, they released him. Had he appeared with the first team like a Ravi Alston, Ontaria Wilson or Myron Mitchell there would have been more talk about Hill. There were roughly 8 guys vying for return spots. They *might* be down to 4, but there are virtually no returns in camp. Without full-speed contact, they aren't worth much. Pre-season games are where we'll see who's who.

  2. Pretty lofty attendance goal, but hey, shoot for the stars

  3. The lack of coverage in training camp is truly so frustrating. The human interest stories are great fluff and I can’t blame Ed Tait because that’s what the club wants but come on … Bighill out to start the year and not a peep about any of the new linebackers. Two offensive line spots open and no clue who is out in front of the competiton. A full draft class and no idea how they’re slotting in yet. Is Haba/Fox starting just a closed case already? Does anyone want to talk about it? KJ Hill cut and as per the reporters, he was “a hyped rookie” but absolutely no mention of who may lock that spot down now. It gets worse every year. @DTonOB explain yourself

  4. If you gamble on games, especially one that you played in, it should be a lifetime ban. Lemon is getting just punishment.

  5. I resent some of you calling me old. It may be true but I resent it. Can't recall when I joined OB but it has to be 2004 so like 5 years ago.

  7. he should be immediately turfed by TSN for that comment....wow is all I can say...way to show zero support for woman and work place harrasment....idiot

  8. Here's what I noted on day 1: Bryant-Dobson-Kolankowski-Eli/Wallace(for Neufeld)-Lofton Lawler-Schoen-Murphy(for Demski)-Alston-Wolitarsky Augustine (for Oliveira) Collaros Jefferson-Thomas-Fox-Haba Wilson-Bighill Parker-Nichols-Nick Hallett (for BA)-Holm-Ford-Kramdi Tyrique McGhee appears right in the mix as well. And it felt like a lot of Lawson with Thomas in the early portion.

  11. Just makes that MOP award even more grimey and head shaking...But seen this coming 1000 miles away...and Kudos to the CFL for actually doing the right thing...esecially when it involved the Argo's premiere guy...he won't be missed league wide in the least while he is reflecting...Can't wait to see if he goes off on social media now..............

  12. No you launched into your tired old tirade when evidence points to this situation not being the same. I agree there's too much loyalty to some aging vets... but I don't think it's a problem on offense really (other than my personal belief that Eli should be a starter somewhere). I know you loved BOLO, but nit like demski or wolitarksy are a problem. He just got caught in a deep spot. You have gone off the deep end on this issue I am sorry to say. Even I'm tired of it and I agree there are some issues, but you're building thus up to be too much.

  16. Can we all just agree that Kelly is a wiener and the league is better off without him? TSN (and the league to some degree) both look like idiots for forcing him on us as the new face of the league, when everybody could tell something like this was the inevitable conclusion.

  17. Farhan, who was convinced the CFL couldn't survive without the XFL and tried to convince everyone else of this, is going into the HOF. The bar is so tremendously low for entry, it kind of makes it worthless.

  19. Me and my girl friend went to go pick up our season tickets today, really fun event at the stadium, I bit the bullet and bought a chris streveler jersey. It was the first jersey I purchased since I got a Charles Robert’s one for Christmas when I was 10 years old lol! I was torn on who to get, but I figured no matter what Streveler’s cult hero status as a Bomber will never fade so it was a safe bet.

  25. Was able to stop in for about 45 min to rookie camp today, was curious just to see Stegall out there - A lot of stretching - Receivers / QBs running drills with the QB taking the football, receivers running routes, QBs making reads, no balls being actually thrown - Milt getting a lot of cheers just for running a route - More stretching - Receivers doing ladder drills with other positions doing their own drills (was focused on receivers) - Then I had to leave Based on only seeing Milt running routes without lining up against defence and without any balls being thrown to him, he is ready to make the team and finally get that Grey Cup ring.

  30. Honestly the narrative in here is pretty amusing - you think management is considering firing or even "reining in" Mike O'Shea while the team is in a period of unprecedented prosperity? When they are selling out games while the Jets' attendance is the subject of league wide consternation in the NHL? While half the teams in the CFL (at least) have sub-20000 crowds on a nightly basis? No one in the Bombers front office is even considering suggesting a change to Mike O'Shea. When the casual sports fans in Winnipeg are saying "why can't the Jets be more like the Bombers?" that means the team is doing okay. There are five Bomber fans unhappy and they are all localized within this forum. O'Shea will do exactly as he pleases, as long as he wants.

  36. In case anyone missed it, Osh was asked about the Argos/Kelly situation yesterday: WEIGHING IN: O’Shea was asked after practice Wednesday about the nine-game suspension levied against Toronto Argonauts QB Chad Kelly. He said he would not comment on the length of suspension because ‘that’s not in my wheelhouse.’ “But I do feel very strongly that the women that work in our league deserve a safe workplace and deserve to be respected — everybody deserves to be respected and have a safe workplace,” he said. “The women in our league, and there’s a lot of them, really deserve to feel safe coming to work every day. That kind of question should be posed to the women in our organization to see if they do feel safe and respected in this workplace — I believe they do, but far be it for me to answer that. They certainly deserve our support and I know organizationally we make good decisions.”

  38. Generally where there is smoke...there is fire....Kelly being an known arsonist basically as well.....it all adds up in my opinion to lean in the former trainers way....also if independant investigators , whom talked to anyone who witnessed what went on, and it has been on record already there were several incidents that others witnessed...and they went back with their findings to the CFL which prompted them to suspend....me thinks its all legit. Also the fact that for yrs now the CFL has been pretty lacksidasical, and overly lenient with other punishments, and they came out with the biggest non-violent suspension...ever.....obviously what Kelly did warranted it...The dude is a stain and I doubt he will ever change, so hopefully this is the last we see of him....and on his way out revoke his MOP and give it to the rightful player as well

  47. Got curious about the Brady thing...this from the CBA (Section 30.03 viii B): "In 2023, each Club will include in the Salary Expenditure Cap an additional $60,000 in respect of Non-Football Related Services, such as community appearances, outreach, and promotion. Starting in 2024 and continuing for every year of the collective agreement, each Club will include in the Salary Expenditure Cap an additional $110,000 in respect of those Non-Football Related Services. These special amounts will be the mandatory minimum amount for each Club and will be subject to strict audit rules. The Clubs will have sole discretion on which players shall received these payments and the amounts to each player, but in no case should these amounts be less than $60,000 per Club in 2023 or less than $110,000 per Club, per year thereafter. These amounts will be included in a player’s SPC and noted accordingly."
