Zach suspended for the first game is perfect. Now his complete collapse at the end of the season will be delayed by one week! That means he'll dominate the Grey Cup and then crumble at the parade. He'll cut his thumb shotgunning beers, fumble the cup, fall off the back of the truck.12 points -

If there’s one player—just one—in the entire Canadian Football League who absolutely screams 'poster boy for performance-enhancing drugs,' it’s got to be Zachary J. Collaros. I mean, the sheer physical dominance, the unstoppable power, the jaw-dropping speed... it’s almost too obvious, right?12 points -

I think we’re a bit thrown off by what this draft might do to our ratio and I would’ve taken Findlay over Jaylen Smith too but if I really sit down and think about it, the idea of playing Brady, Demski, Clercius, 2 OL and then having two Canadians flying around at all times is something I like the sound of. Kramdi, Shay, Smith has some real signs of versatility written all over it. Can do a lot with that and Lawson in the middle. Truly.9 points

Some bombers visited rankin inlet, gabe Wallace included. Boy, he is looking lean and mean. He was 6’6 350+ in college. Came to camp 330-340 with a decent belly still. Now he looks like a stunt double for the mountain. Doesn’t look like he just lost weight either, looks like he put on some lean mass. Can’t wait to see what he brings this year.9 points

so peruse this and tell me what you see says guy cant throw or run an actual offense....from 3 min mark through to the 4:30 mark shows ability to make throws in pocket with heat in his face and drop nice balls from a roll out/sprint.....and many of those runs were from a escape from pocket or a designed play Not bashing up the gut....and teams had tpo respect it...the 5:37 mark in particular..pocket collapsed but teams had to respect the reciever routes and he has ability to bust straight up gut and gouge the defence for a 30+ yard score...and in the first yr there was many like that...as well as his runs outside....when teams didnt basically have a run telegraphed to them with the stupidity we put him thru ;last yr I recall too in MTL at game I was at him dropping a 50+ yrd dime on Simonese down the rail from pocket in our endzone as well....dude has ability if allowed to actually play as a traditional QB....and he actually a more polished and refined passer now...he's evolved his technique and mechanics....4+ yrs in the NFL will help with that A guy who showed he can excel and knows the CFL game...and then 4 yrs getting better in the NFL to come back....foolish to not turn him loose as a QB8 points

I can't believe that's not the automatic standard... You can't reach him, then you call Wade, and Wade gets him in seconds.8 points

If the CFLPA is saying they need to clarify the process and teams weren’t allowed to be contacted, that really shows there’s a flaw in the process8 points

If game 1 drive 1 starts with strev in an empty back set followed by him running QB power for 1 yard, it's gonna be a long season. If he drops back to pass with a deep route as much as he runs, it's gonna be a gooder.7 points

A couple things.... What makes the roster weakest is not being able to pass protect. If they need 3 imports on the OL to be sure of that, they need to do it. We probably win 5 straight Grey Cups with a consistent B+ OL instead of a C- OL trying to round into form/get healthy at the end of the season, 2023-24 especially. That's priority over any other spot. You figure the other spots out, build the OL you need to win first. The biggest roster issue on O is how you back up Oliviera with 5 O starters. Need another Canadian tailback to show they can handle some work, or another Canadian receiver to step up. Alternative is being able to flip to another Canadian on D but that would not be possible during a game. I think we are likely to be disappointed again with our American playmakers on O if there aren't a couple rookies ready to step in and step up. Bailey started all 12 games last year at Weber State and was named to the FCS Central All-American Third Team and All-Big Sky second team honours after adding 18.5 tackles for a loss and nine sacks. We'd be pretty happy to have an American prospect coming in off a season like that.7 points -

Think of the baseball league the Goldeyes play in. Would be like that. Pay guys $750-$1000 per game for 6 games. The real draw is the ability to get film and for the teams to get a better look at guys who are those 5th-8th round picks, undrafted. Keep them active so there is a pool of guys ready to go. Also coach development. If they played early enough could even get some coaches out who are working with U Sports programs. Probably $3-$4 million a year to run the whole thing. Use it to engage some markets that aren't close to CFL teams. Partner with U Sports for facilities (keep in mind for Atlantic there's club football and nice facilities for that too Halifax, Fredericton, Moncton).7 points -

It is. I don’t think it’d be financially viable to have these guys playing all over. I think it’d have to atleast start out as a south Ontario to qubec thing. With in a 4 hour ish drive radius you have a ton of infrastructure. It you send kids there who aren’t gonna be in the cfl, give them a chance to make it and 25-35k, you’ll scoop up a huge portion of the guys who fall out of the league. I might add globals as well. Say a limit of 5 globals and 5 Americans per team.6 points

Time for a CFL minor league. Stick it in the Atlantic. Have 4-6 teams. There's another 200 players developing. Guarantee you can convince that many guys to play for a few years to stay active for a chance coming out of U Sports and CJFL. Develop Canadian players, let the QB's you want to develop get live reps.6 points -
I'm rooting for Streveler, he has a mental and physical toughness unlike many. IF he is used as s real QB and not a gimmick I honestly do believe he can be a true starting caliber QB in the CFL. I could be wrong but, with his attributes, experiences, and the stage of his life he is in combined with how hard he has rehabbed, I would be very surprised if he gets beat out for number 2.........but if he does then I will be very happy as the guy who beats him would IMO be a real stud QB!6 points

It's a thing for sure. I used to watch a lot more tennis than I do now but you'd have the American broadcasts trying to be the entertainment, pushing whatever pre-match story they had concocted... but then you'd get a British or Australian feed and they were just calling the match talking about what was happening not doing all this excessive over the top hard sell. The sport is the entertainment and the reason we like sports is the element of unknown. Don't force a storyline, don't expect the on air people to be the entertainment, let the athletes dictate the story and be the entertainment.6 points

I always found that Laura Diakun did a good job hosting the panel whenever she needed to fill in for Kate. I think she would be a good replacement as long as she keeps doing what she's been doing and not try to change to match what Kate has been doing.6 points -
lmao that's so accurate. I wonder what the kids have moved on to now... I think the league needs to hire some teens and cut right to whatever is current. I feel like this has been the CFL since maybe the 80s, but at least since the Rocket was in Toronto. The times since then that the league has been on point with the demo you target for growth are few and far between. Could you imagine if we did a demographics breakdown of MBB? 18-24, 0. 18-29, maybe 3. 30-50, 2690. Then 8 or so whose SIN numbers have less than 3 digits.6 points

Yeah I don’t disagree with that part. Though it sounds like the cfl is big because he’s a star here. The selection of stars in other sports that he’s calling the super star of the league and comparing him self to is kind of crazy. Ja morant is a huge screw up and not a top talent. Reece isn’t on top of the wnba or in the age range. Jefferson is atleast the best wr though in the nfl. Whole thing is a mess that smacks of self promotion. I also don’t agree that teams and franchises build or make superstars. If that was the case it’d be happening a lot more in every sport on more teams. Superstars happen. It’s a rare combination of talent, growth mindset, luck and hard work from all kinds of people.6 points

Yeah nothing about Bridges wowed me..maybe 2nd yr he shows something...or they trying to find his ideal spot as the extra guy But with holdovers Nichols..Bonds..Holm..and role guys Parker..Griffin..and Kelly who are legit higher end starter quality...just a matter of where we put them we sitting real good...and yeah I have no doubt we unearth another gem..we can be pretty selective as to who and how we wanna roll out our guys Same with Jaylen Smith and Makonzo..Shay...they gonna be all over on the defence I bet...and being Canadian it just may free up 2 DA spots for import beef on the dline5 points

He left the team worse off at the qb position. I mean yes Glenn maybe wouldn't take the team to the promised land... but he was better than the **** jelly threw out there. Toss Glenn when you have a replacement, not before.5 points -
Imagine BO and Logan in backfieldd with Streveler...used as an actual QB with just the threat he "may" run ...key word being may....so many possibilities.....toss in some heavy Demski in motion again......good luck with that yeah ZC at this point just needs to play within...be smart with ball and take whats there.....pushing it will open up if he does that Getting a sense we are gonna be a more possession ...methodical offence this yr....grinding unit As mentioned by others as well would love to see us morph a Clercius at times, or a different big bodied receiver as a true tight end thats used as a passing option...MCI could even fit that scenario...spread out the defense in the box and draw guys away from the scrum with a legit receiving option breaking off the edge5 points
