  1. So it should be Rourke against Bo for MOP.

  4. I don't think this is any kind of hot take... We have no business being in the running for any individual awards, aside from Vavals 2....

  5. IMO Vavel is the only one who is going to win a prize.

  6. yeah...if he had any remote shot....he'd been at least brought in for a workout.....but nadda So basically this yr he has earned camp per diem....and then a whole lot of nothing...and isn't developing a bit at home...or wherever he is not being in the Bomber's facility learning and practicing....quite the waste of a season for sure

  7. Given the sheer number of injuries at the QB position in the NFL this season if he had *any* shot at a roster (PR or otherwise) it likely would have already come. I'll never begrudge *any* athlete who chooses to chase a dream or maximize their earning potential but (selfishly), hope he and his team read the writing on the wall sooner than later.

  8. I thought it was Go Fish? I can imagine the game between the coaches: MOS -> HOGAN: Do you have any offensive game plans? HOGAN: GO FISH! HOGAN->YOUNGER: Do you know how to stop 2nd and long? YOUNGER: GO FISH! YOUNGER -> MOS: Why do you force me to play Jake Thomas? MOS: GO FISH!

  9. A Dru Brown is a Dru Brown, but an Elgersma could be anything! He could even be a Dru Brown! You know how much we've wanted one of those!

  11. He was on pace for a career year but the last few weeks derailed that (0 yards against Ottawa in week 16 and then only 5 against Edmonton in week 19). Had he stayed healthy and put up some good numbers the last couple weeks (questionable with this offense) he might have been in the conversation but yeah not the MOP for me.

  12. I might have gone Demski over Brady but Brady is very deserving.

  13. I'm rolling with Elgersma over Dru at this point. Dru has shown two things in Ott. He can't stay healthy (some on bad hits, some on no hits) and he throws untimely interceptions. I know...neither were a problem when he was here and conveniently had the best Oline and stellar receiver running backs etc. I'm betting potential with Elgersma.

  14. Maybe it was one of those sad divorce settlement things. They could be trying to figure out who gets custody of jake thomas.

  15. This is the players vote. I think you’re thinking of “all cfl team” that is voted for by fans Not surprised for Vaval! Fantastic year. I think the nfl will be calling again. I think Demski deserved MOP. But I suppose how do you give him MOP but not MOC?

  18. Collaros may play one series, but can't see him doing more than that mainly because: Why risk him getting hurt, see that done that and it doesn't end well Why give mtrl reps against our first string offence? OShea loves to keep his cards hidden as long as possible

  20. Ever since the rule change announcement I have noted a ton of plays that wouldn't be possible with the new rules. Catches at the back of the endzone. Missed FG returns. Field goals made.from the 35 and beyond. Lead changes in the final three minutes. I have seen zero goal posts hit or collided with. This is going to be a disaster.

  21. Lawson Jr would have been my defensive pick. Who else could make so many tackles while falling down?

  24. Ah yes you are right! What’s the players vote one? “Voting was conducted by four local members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) as well as the local team’s head coach.”

  25. Big Stan with the lifetime achievement award. Kind of surprised Holm got the defensive nom, voters always seem to love stats and Jones has a ton of tackles... I also laugh everytime I see the PFF article on 3downNation and see Willie's ridiculous 99.0 score way at the top of the list. I think Vaval has a good shot to make it out of the the West in both categories, but that will be the only Bomber there. Im suprised that Alexander got the MOP nom for the Als starting for only 7 games... that must be some kind of record, he's not even eligible for the passing leaders.

  26. Lost in this solid start for the Jets is they’re doing it without 3 key players. It’s pretty impressive, but doesn’t seem to be getting much acknowledgment.

  27. Logically I agree with this. There’s nothing to think our O can actually put up more points than the other team can. But on the other hand, you gotta believe. But logically I think I believe we get our asses kicked. But man these are exactly the teams that end up winning the cup lots of times in the cfl. I mean they could get hot. There’s nothing to suggest they will but they could and then who knows. I’m not counting on it but let’s just say it wouldn’t surprise me if we end up going to our 6th straight cup. Just a different route this time. The route of the underdog.

  33. And at this point Walters is only trying to get custody of Thomas to hurt MOS.

  34. Nope, considering every qb has fallen flat on their faces it'd just be another indictment of how crappy the offense is in many facets.

  35. Not sure what's up with the penalty calls. I was watching the Jays game, but tuned in when I could and saw that the Jets were always shorthanded. Glad they killed them off. Calgary was playing with a lot of spunk, but Jets weathered the storm. JT's goal was amazing to see, and then Connor/Schiefele setup for the winner... just a beauty. 5-1 now, 5 straight W's . Bring on the Kraken!

  36. Congrats to our favorite Mennonite player, Johnny T, on his first goal as a Winnipeg Jet. May there be many many more JT!!!

  37. same. Basically every other competitive high level team has figured out that you need to disrupt the qb, you don’t need pressure or sacks even but you have to change sight lines, windows, get the line pushed up on him etc.

  38. If you take care of the ball at least one of those results are going to flip. There's no reason to have Prukop come in and throw into double coverage after grabbing all the momentum with that Grant punt return in 2022. There's no reason to trot Collaros out with a busted up hand to throw 4 picks in 2024. 2024 is extra frustrating because you have the chance to take the lead after Zach messes up his hand when you get the ball deep in Toronto territory and Oliveira doesn't get a touch with Wilson in. You take the field goal, its still close... defense gives up a long TD which is what ever and then its all passes the rest of the way when Collaros is in with his mangled hand. 2022/2024 was defintely on the offense/play calling... 2023 was kind of wash but you would hope the defense could put up a stop at the end there.

  39. Yeah we got beat by a looney MBT/Rookie sex pest combo....The Faj....Arbuckle.....so in all reality it likely doesn't matter who QB's against us as history has dictated...and the reality of all that is in all 3 those losses we were out-coached....out-schemed and essentially out-rostered as we repeatedly dressed injured guys and the usual collection of wouldnt be on any other roster than our's guys....and based on what we have witnessed throughout this season....nothing's changed...Other than we now have a completely incompetent OC to add to the mix

  40. or when mbt tried to hand us one and we got whipped by a rookie off the bench. I don’t look at at of the qbs and see a clear tier 1 mop that you should be scared of. but I also don’t see us making it hard for any qb to succeed.

  41. After the way Arbuckle had his way with us last year in the playoffs I’m not relying on the other teams bad QB for the win anymore.

  42. Interesting from Our Man Tait... Paraphrasing.. The offense normally reviews tape in the various position groups. This week, for the first time possibly in MOS tenure, the offense watched it all together in an effort to have everyone keep everyone else accountable. Brady O says it was "very productive". Apparently the defense regularly watches the film all together.... As always, it's very worth your click... https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/10/20/need-to-know-week-21-2/

  46. Losing those exciting plays and still have the same shitty QB play. Basically every starting QB in this league is either 35+ or constantly injured. And half of them are lousy. NFL is honestly mostly a mistake fest too because of how bad the QB's are relative to the athletes on D. Not sure why we're striving to take out the exciting parts of our sport to become that. Market the league better, work on player development. Doesn't matter what the rules are when you have 3 guys in the whole league that can pass.
