Imo, if we jettisoned the thomas and kola, fixed the ratio on the lines to have the best talent possible, we’d see significant improvement. But i don’t think mos will have any willingness to make those moves. None at all.9 points

He’s supposed to be in control of his body and not let his head slam into zachs lol. that’s not one point of failure on his part, it’s two. he has to not contact the qb high, and has to be in control of his own head. It was 100% a penalty, it was not some horrid dirty hit though. I don’t expect supplementary discipline and i don’t think it’s needed.7 points -

Every week same problems, recognition and change from coaches? TBD but probably not. We killed the league when our lines dominated, now we have a bloody useless defensive line and a bad offensive line. Lapo highlighted a couple plays early showing why kolankowski is a useless sack of ****. Seriously it's a huge issue when the pocket has no chance when all you have to do is put a guy on top of the centre. Do we try and do anything? Nah we good.7 points -

I would start by turning the WIL spot to a Canadian spot. You have that, you have Kramdi and the rest of the D is flexible. Open up another 2 American spots, use one on O, one on DL. Woodbey, Wilson, Ayres...no more than 1 of them should be dressed unless you're going to try to use Woodbey or Ayres as an edge rusher. I'd pretty quickly consider going to 4 Americans on the OL. Because we aren't going anywhere with this group. Way too inconsistent both run and pass. Not going to unearth a Canadian out of nowhere and the ones we have can't play. Dressing 2 of that group of Canadians would be all I could stomach. Would be looking at calling back guys we cut, had a crapload of Americans in camp, or guys from other CFL camps. See if you can stabilize for rest of season. I'd be looking for another receiver/RB/returner option. Echols could be it. But should be trying to sign others for a look. Looking for a spark from someone as a playmaker in the last third. Guys like Mitchell, Wheatfall, easy to drop them while looking for that spark because they are providing nothing most weeks.5 points -

A view of the game from the 55 yard line, west side upper deck. First Banjo Bowl for me in about three years, for my wife, first one ever. I thought that the atmosphere was a little lacking for a game of this magnitude. At other games this year the crowd seemed more boisterous. In spite of the loss, we had a good time. I only swore once at the ineptitude of the Bombers (might have had to do with my company yesterday). But, in spite of enjoying ourselves, it was a frustrating game to watch. Some of many thoughts on the game: Although coming out on the short end of the score, the game sheet suggested that it was an evenly played game with one or two notable exceptions. We out-possessioned them (31-29 minutes) and the rushing and passing stats were similar. The exceptions….4 Bomber turnovers to one for them and we had had no, zero, zilch red zone opportunities (Our lone TD came from outside the area.) The game was winnable by the Bombers but….. The usually reliable Castillo misses two FGs. The missed one in the third quarter was into the wind. He kicked it low but it was a bit wide. Stuff happens. The whiff in the 4th was with the wind but he still kicked a line drive ball. It was odd. Perhaps, it was just a mis-hit. Although the wind was quite stiff from the north, I wonder how it impacts the game given that the field is below grade and the stands form a bit of a bowl around the field? We had three Americans starting on the O-line yesterday but were they able to run and pass block any better? Who is in charge of the blocking schemes for the O? Is it a line coach who then works with the OC in an attempt to have it all mesh? And, who calls the blocking assignments (adjustments?) at the line? Is it the centre? I won’t comment on the other linemen but Kolankowski is lacking in so many areas. Someone else coined this nickname K-olé-kowski. It fits! I didn’t like the play calling on our last drive in the 2nd quarter, the one that resulted in a FG for the Riders. With 54 seconds to go, we started at our 26. Plenty of time to move it into the scoring zone, I thought. Oliveira into the line two times. Hmm, although a first down resulted, that’s going to use up the clock. An IC followed by and ill-advised long ball INT by Collaros and disappointment again. I saw at least one other Bomber receiver open underneath on that one. It seems that Zach focusses in on his first look a little too much. A problem all year? Did OC Hogan have any competition for the position? Seriously, was anyone else interviewed? I don’t think that Vaval can handle both current duties. He seems to have potential for both, so pick one. As a DB, he was certainly picked on yesterday. I’m also not a fan of Younger’s play calling. A couple of times I saw only one guy at the line. Seriously, one guy on the line and 11 back! No pressure that results in too many options for the opposing QB. I think that if Collaros is out long term and, that is a distinct possibility, IMO, we won’t make the playoffs this year. Heck, I think that if he’s back at the controls next week, the Bombers will be hard pressed to make it. And, this when the Grey Cup is being held in town? What were the tall foreheads thinking in the past offseason? This is the CFL so, I’ll be there to the bitter end. Go Bombers Go!4 points -

Yeah but I don't think you're winning a Grey Cup with a D that hardly makes any plays at or behind the line of scrimmage or comes up with those big turnovers themselves. This team could be a 11-12 win team with a tremendous offense and this D. Would struggle to beat other top teams. But with a sputtering offense probably a 8-9 win team.4 points -
The Riders mostly scored because of turnovers that happened in scoring range. You can't expect a D to do more than hold them to field goals, when that happens. Bottom line: a QB who can't trust his protection, is not going to do well protecting the football.4 points

Concussions are nothing you can train to overcome, and every concussion leaves the victim more vulnerable to the next one. Collaros must be pretty close to his limit if he is not there already. Every problem we have complained about for three years, despite winning, has come to a head. Not a single one was addressed. Aging QB with diminishing skills. No real backup. Dumb roster decisions. 1 mos hogan jy. horrible roster management, lack of adjustments pathetic execution. 2 both lines. no pressure with any front or blitz, couldn’t keep either qb reasonably clean or open consistent holes. 3 zach/chris. brutal in scoring range, un able to move the ball when we needed. ch a lot to pick from but chris’ pick. three riders given free paths to chris who stands in and still tries to force it down field as he’s hit. that ball could’ve been thrown away and we’d be 2nd down in field goal range. Dishonourable mentions, kola, sergio, kyrie, jones, vaval, holm, thomas, whole Dl. honorable mentions, smith for his great stop on the missed fg, kramdi, wilson, demski, brady, and vanterpool.3 points

Walters and Osh get another chance to right the ship next year. Move on from Hogan (OC), Mitchell* and Logan* now Move on from some vets in the off season - we need new blood - Thomas, Bryant* (one of the best - but aging out), Gauthier, Streveler* (my current favorite Bomber - all heart - but diminishing returns/ or make him fight it out for third string), Dalton Shoen* (again all heart and skill, but body is failing him - very sad for him), Kolo (skill issue) - and have actual training camp battles - especially on the OL/DL - and draft a few potential starters on the OL/DL.3 points

Ok so what the **** is Pokey supposed to do different? He's got multiple guys on him.and the ball is thrown to him and not ahead of him. I know you're a collaros apologist, but they weren't a receiver doing something wrong, they were balls they dbs had a chance at. The one before half especially shouldn't have been thrown. Situational awareness dictates a turnover is the worst case Ontario. And further to that.... collaros has thrown those exact same interceptions a million times this season. He's forcing plays without having the ability to put those balls where only the receiver can catch it. It's not a new thing3 points

Mitchell, Wheatfall, Neufeld, Kolankowski, Corcoran, Streveler, Wilson bring nothing to the O. Eli and Wallace aren't capable of playing every down. We basically don't have a single OL who is above average. Vaughters brings nothing, can't even hold his position so the RB has to run around him like a pylon...at least that would give the rest of the D a chance to flow to the ball. Jake Kelly and Vaval are total marks if they are on the field on D. Athletes who have no ******* clue what they are doing. That's not even getting to the injury list or talking about Bryant and Jefferson who are not even 1/10th of what they were. This is a bad team. The fixation on Jake Thomas as if replacing him makes some kind of difference in winning and losing is nuts.3 points -

Cuz if we keep showing up and keep feeding the cash cow there is no need for change. Cuz in the end, the bombers are a business and the bottom line in any business is $$$$$$$$$$ 3 turds 1. OC. I mean Sask scores 1 TD and kicked 5 fgs and we lose. Harris was bad this week and last and we lose both. 2. Castillo. Yeah asking him to kick long fgs is a bit ridiculous but he’s made them in the past and missed 2 today and I’d say both could have swung the momentum back our way 3. Streveler.
