  1. Honestly the main selling point of the CFL are the timing rules of the final 3 minutes. And arguably the most boring part of any NFL game when a team with a one score lead can just bleed the clock under 2 mins with 3-4 plays.

  2. That's the play everyone has been running on us all year. Leave the corner on an island.

  3. And his takes are negative towards the cfl. "Cfl sucks, nfl is better" is not the type of discussion the cfl nor tsn should be striving for.

  4. I'd take Woli over Cobb and Corcoran.

  6. yeah you would think....If not for anything a few weeks here....or there That being said...Undrafted Canadian.....Canadian School.....he definitely behind the 8-Ball as dumb as that is...the NFL political narrative and how/who/what they value at times over actual talent and potential is baffling to say the least I hope he gets to stick somewhere for a bit of an extended time...learn...and grow a bit and hopefully next yr decides to come north more polished and readu for a TC here where he actually can compete and not be learning/adapting In all honesty down there he is not gonna amount to anything...let alone get a real shot to more than a PR guy...maybe get the odd game here or there as a 3rd string clip board carrier

  7. Wolitarsky has dressed for two games this year. I think the TiCats figure they don't need the national depth at Wolitarsky's price tag ... given that K Smith is playing well and BOLO seems to be fitting in well at WR5, plus they can plug in Johnny Augustine or AML at RB if they need to pump up their national count on O. Seems like a no-brainer to bring him back if he's healthy.

  8. I hope Person is good to go. We need constant pressure on Harris. Would like to hear Woods is getting reps with the 1’s.

  9. Jesus... flip the ratio rather than running with Cobb and Corcoran...

  10. It honestly wouldn't shock me if he didn't land on the Packers PR or went unclaimed. The NFL is all about shitty politics, optics and what sort of draft capital an organization spent on you. You'll see guys who never amounted to anything get chance after chance because they were once a former 1st or 2nd round pick (or worse if they had measurables that teams covet). An undrafted Canadian QB from a Canadian school is facing a tough, uphill climb. I *genuinely* hope he gets a chance to stick down south for a bit. Selfishly, I hope we see him up here sooner than later.

  11. Sure, he might offend a few of the ‘bluenoses’ with his cocky stride and musky odours. Oh, he'll never be the darling of the so-called ‘City Fathers’ who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about ‘What's to be done with this Luke Willson’?

  12. 2 DI’s for legit DL would ‘seem’ like a gimme in place of 2 DI’s who barely play- you know what, forget it that’s crazy talk.

  13. Yeah depending on the shape they are in. Moore would likely be somewhat questionable also coming off ACL. Echols I could see being a little more able to go right away. Generally feel like Hogan is a little overdoing it. Just need some basic stuff executed well.

  14. 99% if he doesn't get claimed by someone else he'll be on Green Bay's PR.

  15. If we went with Corcoran and Cobb when we dont need to use a Canadian there whatsoever....Osh should be shot A hurt Schoen...Clercius...Cobb..Corcorran and Wheatfall...like really?...REALLY?? Both Moore and Echols have played in the league...know the standard route tree's all teams use....Know the opponent they be playing.....pretty aure if your coaching is elite you would have them ready and from what I know thats a indication I get

  16. He looks like he's on the Nik Lewis diet plan without the willingness to be a possession receiver.

  17. Not shocked.. the way if the NFL...now curious if he clears waivers And if he does...do they PR him

  19. If people across Canada will all say "**** you Luke Wilson, I'm buying seasons for my local cfl team" then I will allow it.

  20. Hr doesn't but his engagement with fans & other media personalities on social media is the best thing that's happened in years.

  21. Corcoran was great in the pre season.. all he did was get open and catch passes. I have faith that he'll eventually be a New Stoddard at minimum.
    2 points
  22. Ya if he's actually fully healthy, then it's a no brainer.... We desperately need receivers, Canadian or not.
    2 points
  23. Woli has been on the roster the last two games for Hamilton so I'll assume he's healthy. He was just behind Smith, BOLO and Bruggling when it came to Canadian receivers for Hamilton.

  24. I think the point is how hurt is he? His zero catches is mostly because he hasn't played...

  25. yup And or they PR one of them only to cut em loose a week or 2 later after they grab someone else....

  26. Corcoran should be nowhere near a starting spot. Ditto for Cobb. Then again, Hogan should be nowhere near an OC job so what do I know?

  27. I’m really on the fence as to whether or not he’ll end up on their PR. I hope he does, I think that’s better for him and us long term but I’m not convinced. Clifford knows the system, that counts for a lot. He’s a draft pick from the current front office, that counts for a lot. There’s a lot of QBs that the Packers may be more interested in than either of them too - Hendon Hooker (even though he looks terrible) had a top 30 visit with this Packers FO and just hit the wire. curious to see

  28. I am in software development and all of these questions apply there as well. The creative leap aspect is a big one. In our experience AI is great at producing/regurgitating (even large) projects as long as they are concepts that have already been done. It is absolutely garbage at coming up with novel solutions or working with APIs/technologies that are newer and have fewer sources to draw from.

  29. NFL is boring as ****. Same issues there as CFL. Most teams can't pass protect consistently so even with great QB's you have some real stinker games. Canadian Football at least has special teams to bring some variety and excitement. American Football has basically removed everything but FG's and punts that are fair caught or downed anyways.

  30. if Sterns is out... why does Schoen's presence knock Mitchell out of the line up? If we're gonna pull vets off the scrap heap... why not throw them into action?

  31. Do you own a truck and have access to a large amount of manure? Might need one if this comes true.....

  32. Yep. I'm pretty sure he will end up on some ones PR this year. He should.
    2 points
  33. Sure, but he comes across as an ass the way he is condescending to guys like Bob Irving and former players. It's easy to identify attendance issues it's another to offer real advise on how to turn things around. Eliminating quarterback sneaks or changing the clock rules for the last 3 minutes to a game won't draw new fans to the game.

  34. Luke Wilson does not come across like he knows a lot about the CFL.

  39. I can see a sweep by us possible...dont think Ssk is as good as what is being said, and they got physically wooped last week, so will be feeling it A split is historically reasonable, and possibly the likely result, but also being swept and looking somewhat bad and weak in both is highly likely and I say that as have zero faith in our coaching at moment and how we go about things. The saving grace tho I think is that Mace to me is somewhat a doofus, and luckily a worse coach than Osh...and that team is still undisciplined and for most part believe their hype and act like assbags on the field We have the pieces here, and solid vet leadership but we need to figure out how to use the pieces....funny gut feeling but truly think warts and all...we take both

  40. I'd rather see Streveler/Logan play instead of Corcoran or Mitchell

  41. that grimace and shrug that starts the video ... you can tell that media time is Osh's favorite time.

  43. Yeah they were only going to carry 2 QB's on the AR so both Clifford & Elgersma were going to be cut - just a matter of which one of them will be kept on the PR. Could be neither too as already mentioned. They traded for Willis last year after Clifford wasn't cutting it as #2 so they aren't adverse to bringing in someone from the outside if needed,
    1 point
  44. Yeah it's interesting how they would rate Clifford. His preseason numbers are progressively worse and atrocious this season. But they track so many reps the guys get in OTA and training camp.

    The AI Thread

Its a tough thing to navigate. Is AI taking the same creative freedom that another artist does or is it copied and should the original artist be compensated. The other interesting aspect is the more content that is generated by AI, the more AI learns from AI generated content (there are various articles out there on the potential dangers on this... here and here are a couple, but there is a lot of theories on this) Can AI learn to have "creative leaps" or will this always have to come from humans. And if humans start relying on AI, do we lose the ability to really think and make those leaps. Studies are starting to come out on how people who use AI to write vs people who write themselves use very different portions of the brain. You really aren't learning critical thinking when using AI.

  47. Both true. The NFL for all it's growth in the past 20 years is still extremely prone when it comes to getting in it's own way. Not as bad as baseball but pretty bad.
