Watched the game on PVR this morning and a few things were evident: If Collaros goes down, we are boned. Meier was better than Mitchell, who was barely better than Brown. Neither Brown nor McGuire are going to be the Next Big Thing in quarterbacking but both deserve another shot, just not this year. Calgary has some very good receivers, but their O-line is poop. Bomber O-line is awesome. Augustine had a GREAT outing, but his O-line opened holes I could have gotten good yardage through, bum leg and all. As usual, the zebras had a rough night. I felt for the Bomber D-line- time to put Vaseline on their Jerseys? It was a frustrating game to watch, If the Bombers had a half-decent backup QB, the game would have been out of reach by halftime. Except for that one Calgary pass, the Bomber defence was its usual stout self. They deserved better.

I give absolutely zero f’s about the loss. Houston blew the coverage on the td. Brown played like garbage. They stacked the box vs our run bc Brown couldn’t throw. Should’ve been a face mask against Darby at end. Castillo and Zach were great. To lose like that will just fire up d. Don’t forget Biggie and Jefferson out at the end.

You sat in the stands and watched that game and came to that conclusion? Brown had some nice scrambles but his throws were absolutely atrocious. McGuire threw some ints in montreal yes but at least he appears to have an arm that can threaten a defence. Brown didn't do **** in the passing game and if he did it was all short balls. Basically what Fajardo did before his "break out" He might be a prospect worth developing but he ain't ready to be the #2. If Mcguire stepped into a game with that kind of running attack going no way he doesn't have more success than Brown had.

I was all aboard the MLSE train when they took over the Argos. They've built brands in TO. But, the negligence they've shown the Argos is astonishing. The franchise deserves better. The few fans, who have stuck it out, deserve better. Toronto (spit) deserves better.

Many people calling in just to wish Bob a happy retirement and tell him how much his work has meant to them. A few of the callers seemed like they must have been cutting onions in the background. Half the league doesn't even have a reliable starter. More than half if you don't have much belief in MBT or question the longevity of BLM and Reilly. I don't really know who people want as a "decent backup." With no preseason this year there's not much to go on. Best options would be guys like Pipkin or guys who are broken down like Nichols.

We have no legit #2 qb. That fumble on the 1 resulting in a minus 40 loss, is why we lost the game. Inexcusable. He bumbled a number of snaps as well. Like Brown has never held a football before. I hope this loss remains in the mind of our team.

Yeah calgary did not look good at all. They couldn't get anything going until the last 2 minutes against the bombers D featuring the roster fillers. As much as Sask is over rated they should be able to dispatch this sad sack stampeders team.

I grew up in Calgary and went to games and listened to games on the radio. From the GameDay announcer to the radio guys there was always a level of arrogance that goes well beyond anything I've found in other markets. I get that you are broadcasting to the local audience and the focus of the broadcasts is going to be from a Stamps perspective. But there was never a need for such arrogance.
