I'm not happy they lost but I'm not going to fret about it. We always play like crap in Toronto. I was worried this would happen because of that so I wasn't surprised. Bombers need to lick their wounds, dust off their pride & On To The Next!

Miller misses tackle on short pass for 25 yards ...to Blue 20 Arbuckle rolls out...stripped of the ball, by Jeffrcoat.... ....Briggs picks it up....rolls down the sideline for 80 yard TD!! Just what the doctor ordered, to wake these guys up. 13-7 Arbuckle good gain to Rogers, then another screen to Collins Bomber D having problems with play action and screen dumps. 2nd and short....Argos run right up the gut for 7. Bad sign. Bede 37 yard FG has the Argos with 16-7 lead.... Oliveria with 2nd down carry for FIRST DOWN. ....and it only took 22 minutes. Pathetic.... Zac misses Adams....and is throwing the ball erratically Lawler drops 2nd down pass. Nothing right on O, so far... Nelson running back kicks....like tiptoeing through the tulips ZC has time, and fires it up long...to Adams... ...........who has freshly toasted his man by 10 yards... ...and hauls in the 50 yd TD pass!! Huge play. 16-14 now. Two plays has turned this thing right around.... Jefferson downs Nick for -2. Thomas sacks Arbuckle Blue D line really picking it up now... Adams can't haul in 2nd down pass. More 2 and out.. Alford called for interference on pretty close call to Blue 35 Arbuckle play action and has Daniels a mile behind Miller .....35 yd TD, with 9 seconds left in the half. Inexcusable. 22-14 Argos....and it actually could of been worse ...as Toronto had possession for most of that half.... Bombers need to reload: I need to refill...... Alexander smokes McDaniel on attempt over the middle Alex gets a 15 yarder, McD finally gets up and off the field Jeffcoat strips Arbuckle again....but Argos recover Zac pressured on 2nd down and incomplete Offense starts off this half with more 2 and outs.... Could really use Harris, right now.... Alexander blitzes up the middle, crashes attempted handoff ......Bombers recover the ball on Argo 30. Now is the time. Bailey is wide open on slant pattern in end zone .....and Zac puts in there. TD Bombers. 30-23 Blue kickoff deep. Need the D to stand, here... Collins catches short ball....Miller is there.... ....and misses tackle yet again, huge gain to Wpg 47 This guy should get a map of the 400/401....and left there. Arbuckle over 300 yards. White runs for 9 Argos convert 3rd down. Game. We miss Harris, but we also have problems at CB, DT, LB etc... Injury list catching up with this team. Gin drinking catching up to Do or Die

Well, sometimes you miss a game because of family reasons and such… reading the recap here, probably better for my health to have not watched it 😁… anyways, I’m probably not going to lose too much sleep over this one… 1) bombers weren’t going to go 14-0 so I expected a few hiccups along the way… got some good film on what not to do and where to improve 2) Argos are a good team… not sure how good yet, but I definitely see them in the mix for top of the east… 3) beating a team in back-to-back weeks is very difficult, no matter the opponent… 4) I’m shocked no rider trolls have showed up yet 😆 let’s regroup and focus on Calgary… hopefully we’ll get one more shot at Toronto in early Dec in Hamilton…

Wow just read through this thread. Some of you need to take a deep breath and have a beer. You can't just cut everyone lol. Wtf? As for the game. Talk about being out coached all you want. But coaches can't tackle, catch, block or cover. Lawler "Mr.hands" dropped 3? But everyone is going hard on Bailey (who didn't have a good game but did score some points). Oliveira needs to start looking at holes instead of just putting his head down. The Oline played like hot ******* garbage. No holes for the RB and no time for Collaros. Defense should only practice tackles this week. Absolutely brutal. The Dline played well, but like I said....******* tackle! Not sure why we kicked off twice, or why Augustine isn't getting any touches, or why crapper is still being carted out there. I said it last game and it's still true, his kicks don't look right. They aren't pro quality. Brutal game all around. Considering they were never really out of it says a lot about the overall talent of this team. If they're going to lose. Losing to the east is the way to do it. Now everyone step away from the ledge.

That call on Alexander was complete and utter bull$hit....This isn't a game of tiddlywinks we're playing this is hard hitting football..The p.i. call was also bogus....That was an atrocious outting by our guys...I hope that is the stinker of the year and the only one....We need some offence correction..Buck needs to get on it...and we need some players back...

Watched the game yesterday , bad officiating imo on the Bombers especially the unnecessary roughness on Brandon Alexander . That was a clean hit from where I seen it , not having Demski hurt for sure , boy your D was incredible caused a couple turnovers.

I know it's a long ass video but it's a good one. It's the rugby wrap tackle applied to football. A few teams in the us have adopted it but not many. They practice it with no pads on it's that safe. The legion of boom still had lots of hard hits and could do it with hawk tackles.

I've seen similar plays dozens of times over the years and never ever called a penalty. The hit wasn't late or dirty, so why would I expect a penalty on a defender hitting a Bomber receiver?

But how brain dead can one be to choose an injury prone QB on a complete down slide of his career over a guy who is young , healthy, and has a way higher upside and at that moment was vastly superior to the old injured QB. I can't imagine any CFL expert would ever choose to dump Arbuckle for Nichols.

That call was 100 percent reactionary to the injury. That's how it's supposed to work but not how it worked last night. We see hits like that 10 to 20 times a year with no flag. It was clean. He wasn't late he didn't target the head he didn't lead with the head he got penalized for hitting too hard.

It should only rankle you for one week,I'm not one bit concerned with O'Shea and his coaching because of 1 loss.

Some random thoughts: 1. I'd like to see a returner besides Nelson. 2. I'd like to see Stewart of Agudosi in at WR over McKnight and Nelson. 3. I'm taking away Tyler's inga, on that note he needs the old apple and a road map. 4. We need one of Wilson or Rocquemore back asap. 5. Josh Miller looks a little just not ready yet. 6. Its one game so let's not panic.

The pick was actual a Defensive PI - he pushed off... There were two catch and fumbles - one with Adams and one with White - both would have gone the bombers way... but it was tight - not the worst call I've seen. Refs didn't cost us this game - Dinwiddie and his team coached a really really nice game.

Perspective. It’s one game. We were never as good on offence or special teams as the 2-0 start suggested, and not as bad on defence as the 30 points today suggest. One game does not “expose everything” on this team.

Bailey played especially bad. Not just with the easiest drops. His routes and blocks were bad. The ol under performed for sure. But part of that is running soo little. Just like we tired out our d we did the same to the ol. They aren't used to 40 pass plays a game. Toronto played the run the same as last week. 7 8 men in the box vs 5 ol and 1 wr chipping. They had a body in the hole and a man free off the edge. But we ran the same running play 4 times in a row. With little chance of success. We didn't use the sweep or end around or play action. That's on buck. Only thing I can think is Mos thought the sun was gonna be a major issue in the 2nd half. Crappyy yeah I mean I'd rather take the chances with legs. He's very good with punting.

Honestly CGY didn't impress me all that much this week. MTL lost that game more than CGY won it. VA made all kinds of bad throws, not only into coverage, but just straight up missed open rec. But yeah, no one is going to win them all. And TO is a good team. The Bombers have no free spaces this year (Ott). Losing to the east is not that big of a deal.

CGY went from looking like crap to playing a solid game. I think next week will be more of a measuring stick for the stamps then the bombers. I didn't watch the Bombers game but the score flattering them is kind of what I saw on here and twitter. The reality is in a full season even the best teams are going to have 1 or 2 games where they are off for whatever reason, it sounds like that was the Bombers yesterday.

Agreed... it going to be reminiscent of the Swaggerville days- the Defense will carry the offense kicking and screaming to victory until they burnout.

I don’t think the ball was 5 yards away, and I don’t think he aimed for the head. The “head shot” was the receiver falling down and catching a forearm to the chest/neck which snapped his head. If a player’s knee hits the opponent’s chin as he falls to the turf, does that make it a “head shot” simply because the head was contacted? I will say that it was a predatory hit in that he was completely focussed on hitting the receiver and not on playing the ball. That in itself should be fine if you want to separate the player from the ball, but he saw the chance to light up a defenceless player with the strongest most violent legal hit he could deliver and he took it. If that is the kind of hit the league wants out of the game (and based on the rule last year preventing receivers from throwing blindside blocks on DBs back towards the line of scrimmage, apparently they do) then it is a penalty.

It's not the end of the world. The 2 worst places for the Bombers to play on the road are Toronto & Montreal. The games there for years are craptacular at best. I expect they'll bounce back next Sunday. Crapigna is crap.

I think fatigue played more of a fctor than them caving. It was 2 & out all night.

We were not only outplayed, we were also outcoached, and that rankles me.

Re: Alexander roughing. The ball was 5 yards past the receiver, the receiver was in a vulnerable position, the hit was both unnecessary and to the head. It's the kind of play that needs to be taken out of the game. I thought it should have been called right away, but I was surprised that it was called after a review.

Reffing always gets blamed on a loss, and it almost never is the factor fans say it is. I will say this much, the Alexander roughing penalty was for a violent but not dirty hit. Caught him high with a forearm because he was going down. Should it be a penalty? I would say no, but the refs are going to call it because of the result and to avoid things spiralling out of control with players looking for retribution. May not be the letter of the law, but in the spirit of keeping the game clean, it is going to get called. And just a hunch, if Darvin Adams got crushed like that some here will call the same hit dirty. Uniform colour affects perceptions. Beyond that I think the refs have been directed to call the game tighter. The rough play on the Argos for the late hit out of bounds was pretty chintzy in its own right. And the late hit on the QB in last night’s Stamp-Als game was weak as well. I’d prefer a “let them play” approach but I sense that’s not the directive from the league office right now. The only weird call was the spearing. Rolled over the player on the tackle, but hardly led with the helmet like an arrow. Only one yard on the penalty so not a killer. The pick was a push-off by Alford the receiver went down pretty easy, but with how PI is called on today’s game, it was a penalty As for the “catch/no catch” plays, on Darvin Adams’ one, it looked like when he went down he rolled over top of the DB rather than hitting the ground, so in real time it looked like he did not survive contact. Might have been worth a challenge since the ground can’t cause a fumble. On the Argo RB non-catch, he caught it and was hit as he spun, so another bang-bang play. Refs were being consistent by calling both incomplete, but both hurt the Bombers since their catch/fumble went out of bounds and the Argo one would have been likely recovered by the Bombers (although a quick whistle negated that presumptive ruling).

This week has 2 lessons. 1 take nothing for granted. No team is dead and no team is elite. Every one is with in striking distance of one another. Secondly expect all time bad reffing. They have suffered the year off more than any team or player.

Game is pretty boring- like watching paint dry. Still, better than nothing, but not by much.

The DL is fine. Sayles and Thomas are both very good.

Saw complaints online about Trudeau saying that you have the right not to get vaccinated but you don't have the right to get on a plane and put others at risk. Complaint was basically that this was inflamatory and divisive. Am I wrong that I took it as JT saying its your choice to not get vaccinated but choices have consequences?

Yes, it is commonly used to treat and prevent mange in livestock - especially out on the range. They don't want to get vaccinated, but they will take drugs intended to treat parasites in livestock Their logic is beyond the pale.
