  2. Farhan, who was convinced the CFL couldn't survive without the XFL and tried to convince everyone else of this, is going into the HOF. The bar is so tremendously low for entry, it kind of makes it worthless.

  5. Was watching playoffs on my tablet the other night and my 3 year old asks if I was watching football... when I explained no hockey I was then asked when football starts.... so there we go, even the kids are ready for football season to start.

  8. Some of you mistake the legal process with professional conduct policy. The CFL doesn’t have to wait for anything if they determine their conduct policy has been violated.

  10. he plays mean....exactly what makes an oline dominant...I actually shocked we got him where we did...I think some other teams scouting departments were asleep at the wheel...Even right out of college he would be the perfect replacement for Eli in the jumbo package..blasting bodies out of the way as he develops...If Dobson can come in and show he can be a legit left gaurd....an interior of Neuuf...Eli and Dobson ..would give us a nasty streak mean interior...and with Wallace coming in for Jumbo packages in Eli's old spot....would be a pile pushing juggernaut

  11. Global players impact players pick one lol all this talk about these guys like we have MBB posters scouting the German leagues for talent we know nothing about 99% of these guys and we’re talking about how we passed on impact players

  12. I'd rather have Schoen and Lawler than Schoen OR Lawler and Bailey. Talent level is much higher than it would be if we kept the slightly above average vets.

  14. we essentially replaced the best back up QB with a new...better best back up....abd the prospect behind him seems solid at first glance....Camp will be the true indicator...upgrade tho from 2023 I don't think Yosh is a majhor loss per say....As long as we can find a compatent replacement who can play we should be fine...Lofton should be that guy worst case, as we develop the heir apparent longterm guy...and with Eli back...Dobson hopefully with more polish to him, and the huge upside of Wallace and still having Kolo, I see no worries there really either...maybe some gelling at first....but with Bryant and Neuf next to whomever wins the spot they have on field coaching right there....and with some guys in the pipleline again...and the possible flyer on Manu....we upgraded I believe to a meaner group...younger...with upside Replacing Jackson with the actual Canadian RB/FB who actually has a real good skill set...huge upgrade on multiple levels...especially for roster...upgrade there Like the dline talent coming in....Was never sold or a fan of Walker, so I think we will be better with whoever is shotgun with lawson....and some intruiging guys competing for the end spots....Jackson's loss hurts, but bang for buck there and not knowig how many games we would get...with a guy on other side of 30...I like the route we take....camp will be the big battle and indicator there....we have some talent....and now with Jackson gone we can actually deploy it...so in my opinion the defensive rotation will be better all around, especially with Ford in the mix and the ability to if we want at times to go all Import on the line, and have some unique schemes with who we put out there. Db's not concerned with whatsoever...we have a proven track record of plug and play there...... LB's is the one spot a little curious, dare I say concerned.....No issues with Wilson....and at SAM we have options....I'd like to see Cole take that over and Ford win a Corner spot....we also have a couple interesting guys coming in who may blow doors off and take that role...Not sold...nor liking Kramdi there...adequate atbest doesnt cut it for me, and he will not develop into a true difference maker, so why extend that experiment...we dont have to, so why? and if we want that Canadian then Ford offers way more...more upside, and a way better athlete...so at moment to me Linebacker is the big question mark to be filled Receiever...nothing to be said there...we know what the main 4 bring....we have some intruiging options to replace Bailey and we replenished our Canadian backups....the new kid with more upside than Bolo I believe and I was one of the bigger BOLO tire pumpers here...plus he is an experienced teams guy...BOLO wasnt...we made him learn that spot RB's...Nothing needs to be said there, and now with Ilke we have 3 solid Canadians and a actual guy to do the full back role who actually can do more than just get in the way....and don't sleep on Smith....If he takes Mcrae's role, as well as win that returnr spot...Huge upgrade....and he could make real noise with some offensive reps...true game breaking skill set there Camp will be interesting and a true camp this yr with guys competing and jobs to be taken....

  16. Whelp, results aside (the problems this team has have been and will be beaten to death), my boys had a blast at the game yesterday. The crowd was into it so they got the full whiteout experience, and my older son especially couldn't wipe the grin off his face for most of the first period just looking at the spectacle of it all. From that aspect, last night was a success.

  18. interesting quote from draftdiamonds scouting report Synopsis: Eric Barriere is a stronger quarterback prospect than fellow Eastern Washington quarterback Vernon Adams, who ultimately spent time playing in the CFL. While he may not project as a first round pick, he is the type of player that represents a strong value and investment on draft day. Barriere stands out as one of the top, if not the top, prospects in FCS football heading into the draft, and while he does have room to develop, he also showcases the work ethic necessary to grow. His best fit is on a team with an older established starter where he will have a season or two to learn the system before being thrust into a starting role, but his ceiling is not that of a career backup

  19. I see you are unfamiliar with Farhan Lalji! 😂 I don't think anyone can compete with him in that area, it's just that the rest of the TSN crew might be closer to his level of nut hugging this season.

  22. LOL - where I been? Crying in my Crown Royal as the Jets go out in 5 again with a massive whimper. I'm back now - Jets stuff put away, Bomber stuff now taken out and ready to go! Can't wait for the home opener, I'll be there, cheering on the Strevelation!

  25. The level of athleticism should be increased. Clercius is an exciting guy to me. When you watch his videos he competes really hard and is a hell of an athlete with that size. There's a lot of downfield shots in there, he's great at tracking the ball and finishing the play. Skill set is a bit of a mix of Demski and Wolitarsky. The willingness to go hard in blocking and special teams as a receiver is huge too....not often a guy who has those ball skills is that willing. Only concern there is long-term if he does turn into something he might have the pull to head home.

  26. I think he may be remembered more for his Never Alone Foundation that helped cancer patients, families & caregivers than his time as a Bomber player or President. Rest in Peace, Lyle Bauer. He'll be missed.

  30. It's been said already, but it really is a shame that Brady got robbed of the MOP award. The League could have had a guy who at least appears to be a proud Canadian, playing for his home team and literally rescues puppies, as the face of the league....instead they have a Chad...

  31. Yup...it's gonna be interesting if we see a lot of 2 QB sets...or a lot of ZC and Strev rotation...I think it'sthe multiple dual QB looks.....and from looking at what that Thompson brings, can you imagine a set with both ZC and Strev, as well as Thompson with motion in the backfield....or in a bunch set....what are your keys defensively there?...and oh yeah....you have BO lurking there too....All I can see right now is if you are not up on the Bombers...and by a lot in 2nd half/4th quarter....you are gonna be ground out to a fine dust

  33. For whatever reason, I feel like I’d really lost sight of how many interesting prospects the Bombers brought in this off-season. Not too worried about the massive amounts of WR or DB, that’ll sort itself out with reps but I do appreciate some of these names … real high calibre guys being brought up here. 5 names to watch in my obviously incredibly educated opinion: WR KJ Hill, DE John Waggoner, DT Jamal Woods, DB Travon Fuller, DB Juan Lua Bonus name, I think it’s a foregone conclusion he’s QB3: Eric Barriere Bonus name if Janarion Grant doesn’t come back: WR Aron Cruickshank

  40. LB preview https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/04/24/positional-preview-3-the-linebackers-2/ Not a lot of fresh talent here. Hope the couple guys brought in are good because Biggie is on the downslope. DB preview from yesterday too https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/04/23/positional-preview-2-the-defensive-backs/ Offense lost but the D still allowed Cody @$%!ing Fajardo to put up 3 TDs on them. Almost like it is a team game or something and not all the blame can be put on one player.

  43. I personally couldn't think of any CFL players, former/present who played defense that got into trouble for cannabis related "crimes" while also struggling academically, who then became a star or hell even a HOF player. That has never happened.....there are also exactly zero CFL players who currently consume large amounts of cannabis during the season.....that also never happens....I've never personally seen all star players in cannabis shops purchasing products that are meant to be inhaled....not me....no sir....the CFL would never put up with those dope users.
