Watching Desjarlais tonight makes me wish we could have brought him back after his NFL stint .. money aside both he and Couture were such a huge loss for this team and you see it with our interior line play.

I was hoping that Masoli could have bounced back, if only to raise the quality of league QBs one tick. Of the 6 starting QBs, so far this weekend, 5 have been horrible.

Of course climate is always changing. The Milankovitch cycles guarantee that. It has been hotter. It has been colder. But that doesn't mean that what we are in now is natural. The vast, vast percentage of scientists involved with anything to do with our climate agree that our reliance on carbon fuels is affecting our climate adversely. And it's the speed that it is happening and the fact that it is a global phenomenon that will be the ass kicker. When there has been rapid climate change in the past the effect on local societies has been devastating. As far as changing shorelines don't forget alot of that is from erosion. But if you are talking changes over thousands of years it's different .It allows time for societies to adapt. The isostatic rebound you see in Manitoba for instance will eventually move Lake Winnipeg down to the city of Winnipeg . But the time line is about 10,000 years. What we are doing now world wide would be the equivalent of waiting till the Lake is flowing over the perimeter to react. I'm not a huge fan of the carbon tax at all but thats because I'm not sure we are getting the best bang for our efforts . But I suppose it's a start. I'd prefer to start with removing the up to 15 billion dollar subsidies Canada is giving to the oil industry. Pour that 15 billion directly into green initiatives. I'd rather have seen the rail lines that are vastly more efficient have remained in place. I'd rather see an better effort to get cars off the roads in our cities. I'd rather see that money go into educating people on their personal responsibility for climate change.

Your response is that "hey, non-climate scientists also agree the humans are causing climate change?" That's how you defend your view? A better response would be to show how the majority of climate scientists (being specific with the science that they study) don't agree that humans are causing climate change. Obviously you didn't do that because you can't. You could have also tried to express your own personal qualifications for why you think professional scientists are wrong. If you want the take from climate-specific scientists - The Scientific Consensus on Climate Change | Science. Not sure what you are saying that some science has nothing to gain from the results. Pretty much any industry that relies on fossil fuels benefits from any uncertainty related to climate science. These are huge corporations that have significant political power and a history of using it in nefarious ways. ExxonMobil has had accurate climate models for decades that have reliably predicted climate change from emissions and tried to spread uncertainty related to climate change to justify the billions of dollars that they rake in.

Kolo is adequate at best...probably average and in bottom teir of centers..hoping Eli takes over sooner than later and would help our line bigtime Dobson ain't a center and wouldn't trust his snaps consistently

This just isn't the town for young kickers. Lirim was able to turn it around after leaving Winnipeg. For Leggs sake, hopefully he's able to as well. We've been fortunate enough to get kickers in Medlock and Castillo to replace them but one of these days I worry it will bite us in the rear giving up on young kickers that count as Canadians.

This officiating crew seems to have an issue with big plays .. that was a terrible (marginal) PI call.

There are no qbs to turn it around quickly. That's the problem.

For years, we has some uniforms that were downright nasty like the blue cammos & helmets. Fans were begging the team to go back to the beloved look with royal blue & gold pants. They did & we were happy. We won two Grey Cups with that look. Now, the team is messing with the look again. Stop. Just ******* stop.

Game plan for next week: Have Biggie spy literally every down and make Crum throw the ball.

They've been loyal to that OL group so far, talking guys like Neufeld and Hardrick. A more cutthroat approach might have jumped at Desjarlais and moved on from both of those guys, go with a younger import at tackle or shuffle Gray over to tackle, Dobson in to RG. Will be interesting to see how far that loyalty goes as the level of play declines. They basically have replacements for guard and tackle in house with Dobson and Richmond.

I really don't think it's a huge dropoff from Couture to Kola, but Desjarlais is an upgrade from every guard in the league. And he's being paid Tackle dollars. Not that he isn't worth it, but you just can't budget for that.

Crum settling in and looks the part physically in comparison to a tubby like Maier.

Bobby Dyce looks like a friendlier version of Samuel Jackson.

People won't like this opinion but if Masoli ever going to play again he needs to get down to 215-220. Carrying a lot of weight, bet he's 255-260 right now, looks like Jerome Bettis. Not good when you've already got vulnerable joints.

He's gone from a non-contact injury and that might be the end of his career.

He had pretty big shoes to fill (Medlock) and maybe that intimidated him.

Sucks about masoli. Such a good dude. He seriously needs to protect his health and quality of life now. I’d love to see him go into coaching I think he has a lot to offer.
