Yep... sleazy politician/shitty agent who was running for mayor of Dearborn, Michigan. Since he got crushed in that election, I'm assuming he'll have time to talk to Walters now.

Mulumba has apparently no interest in the CFL. This year, however, he and his camp seemed to express some interest but only to play for a season, even though it doesn't work like that (shitty agent if he can't do his research on behalf of his client). Walters put forth what he believed was a reasonable and fair offer, and instead of a counter-offer, Mulumba's agent bitched to the media, basically saying his client's rights should be traded or he'd retire. Walters then stated the Bombers have his rights for the next two years (based on the contract offered, I surmise), so the ball in his court and that's that. Man, f^3k 'em both. A couple of clueless knobs.

Being that Halifax is on the ocean, and boats are a big part of their heritage and voyages started or ended there, how about the Argonauts. It's not like 99.99999% of Torontonians would notice or care.

We were outworked and outplayed all night and walked away with the greasy win. These go a long way to playoffs.

Why not name them the Halifax Blue Bombers? Having a team in each division would surely help our odds of breaking the drought.

When Westerman was healthy, they had the ability to start 7 Nationals without a National at MLB - this was the case for most of the season. Heck, they found ways to start 4 Americans on the DL in recent weeks.

I too have loved the very effective "Booch slapdown" handed to some of our self proclaimed experts. Very enjoyable to watch. At the same time Booch, thanks so much for sharing these "in-depth" type views. They are fascinating.

If they had bought the Coyotes and flipped it someone else for $1 Billion would they still be idiots? If I sold my house and bought lottery tickets with the proceeds and won Lotto Max, would I still be an idiot? There are lots of differences between owning and operating CFL and NHL franchises but losing money, is losing money and Ice Edge lost lots of money. The ROI on the Coyotes has never been good and thinking that you're smarter than anyone else that's tried to make the desert work is foolish. Even the owners of the Atlanta Threashers, which had carte blanche to sell to someone who was going to relocate the franchise, only made $110 Million off the sale. So, if you think Ice Edge was ever going to get $500 Million out of the Coyotes, you don't understand business. So no, I don't want a group that relies heavily on 3rd party financing to own and operate an expansion team in the Atlantic Provinces. There must be better opportunities for the CFL.

no, giving a guy time to develop on the PR and in pre-season is bringing him along slowly... putting a guy who may not be ready into the lineup, is a trial by fire. semantics, I'm sure but bring up someone slowly imo never involves throwing them into the breech. limited reps or emergency fill-in still gives the guy that "omfg its REAL!" feelings im sure that they wouldn't get on the PR or in pre-season reps. He isn't spot on all at all. Hall had a boatload of talent with which to work, some upgrades were made, and the results remained the same as the previous two seasons. A DC who employed a risky system without making proper adjustments should receive ample blame for his errors.

Further to the discussion about scheme vs players, it would appear that our GM is suggesting that maybe scheme might have played a bigger part that players (of course a GM would think that) from Ed Tait's Twitter feed:

There has been a ton of talk all season long about Bond possibly trying the NFL and Kyle Walters didn't draft all those offensive lineman rather than other positions to keep playing 3 americans in that position. The fact that with Bond out the performance of the line didn't dip just makes it that much more likely to happen.

Our team is run by good human beings and not a bunch of self serving assholes, if Lapo wants to interview for a head coach position they'll let him, the question comes down to whether or not Lapolice wants to. He likes being in Winnipeg and he he's gonna be a spot picker when he tried the HC thing again.

Except they really haven't got a lot of cups to show for all the seasons of being first in the league... They got 2014, they got 2008 after they cleaned out their own gong show. So really judging by the team everyone loves to hold up as the best thing going we have 10 years to get 2 cups with multiple seasons of playoffs. Plenty of times Calgary was one and done in the playoffs as well. Can think of a bunch of west final games they pissed away at home. Did that make them not a contender? Simple fact is that all season long Winnipeg was one of the best teams in the league, that makes them a contender, that they lost a single elimination game doesn't change that. I think everyone agreed that all of Winnipeg, Edmonton and Calgary were contenders for the cup. Had Winnipeg won last weekend would people sit here and say Edmonton was never a contender? I somehow doubt that.

You're not completely wrong. But at the time when Nichols emerged a starter, OL also greatly improved.

I would like see a rotation of those two continue. If we could rotate 4 Canadians to fill 2 DL spots, that would enable a change at MLB and allow the current OL to stay intact.

Corney is such a beast. I hope westerman's skills have rubbed off on him.. hes just so raw. If he develops the rip and swim or even a crazy first step and bull-rush, he could be a very good DE.

Hardrick is a great re-up. One of the guys who has really brought in the required attitude.

Two good signings. I think people need to remember that Neufeld is a solid potential starter, excellent 6th man and he plays an important mentorship/leadership role on the OL.

So in your eyes a team is not a contender until they have won the Grey Cup? Or were you looking at the 8-10 Stamps and 8-9-1 Redblacks and saying "Oh yeah, they're contenders for sure." In a pig's eye, indeed.

I think you overestimate what it takes to be a GC challenger. We've seen sub-.500 teams win the Grey Cup. To suggest a 12-6 team is not a challenger is simply asinine.

That was the 19th game of the season......and this D gave up 7 plays of 25+ yds, had huge breakdowns resulting in 3 easy peasy Esks touchdowns, and couldn't tackle a fishing rod. We insist on running all this zone stuff - but continually have this level of confusion, in the back 7. A number of players, particularly Walker and Fogg.... simply looked like they simply had no clue at all, out there. Bottom line.....we seen no improvement from the defensive collapse in last year's playoff...... Unacceptable. This D needs to be completely re-grounded in both assignment basics and tackling techniques. and it has to be done with a new DC. This is now a prerequisite.....not an option.

Bumping this topic because he's our warrior behind centre. Dude played with a broken finger, lower body injury, and still played great. Dude named his little girl (middle name) Winnie for Winnipeg. This guy is the starting QB we've needed desperately for years and it looks like he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Matt deserves a half way decent defense and he deserves some more depth at the WR position. But regardless I wanted to once again give thsi dude mad props. What a year, what a leader. Thank you for saving us from Drew Willy and god knows what we'd be like without him.
