Agreed. it looks on the CFL.ca highlights as if VA's foot touched the sideline just shy of the 52. And they needed to get to the 53 for the 1st down so he was a full yard short. VA said he thought he stretched and got it - but I believe the rule for ball placement is at the spot where the player steps out of bounds - not where the the ball is when the player goes out of bounds. After all, he stepped out of bounds while the ball was in his hand and still in the air. And the play is dead at the instant the players foot touches the out of bounds mark. You can stretch all the way to Saskatoon, but the ball is no longer live or in play. Someone on the other forum was saying it should be marked where the ball goes out of bounds not where the foot goes out, but I think that would be incorrect (unless we are talking about the goal line). Sometimes, if there is some doubt, the officials will give the ball carrier some benefit and mark it half way between where a knee or foot goes down and the forward point of a stretch. But in this case the sideline official was right there to see exactly where VA's foot stepped on the sideline marker. And he correctly marked it there. Great tackle by Bighill, BTW.

got a chance to watch the game footage....frame by frame....some posters were thinking that BC should have got the first down on that Vaj scramble before the 3rd and 1 denial...BC actual got a favorable spot as the Vaj stepped out about 3/4 yard further back than the spot they gave him before he extended his arm out at the marker....so the on field guys actually got it correct...basically amazingly enough

ALs cut a couple guys. I’d give Damontre Moore a look at the pr. Very talented de with lots of experience. Great guy to have handy in case some one gets banged up. I’d also give Patrick Davis a pr look. Big athletic ni ol from Syracuse who’s still pretty young and has lots of life in him. Be a good body to have in camp next year too.

The official that made the call was within feet of the play, no reason to believe he got the spot wrong.

The only favourable stat for Houston is INTs. I hope to hell we don’t pay him.

as noted...the lower bowl is more than enough. The Riders though... yikes. They just announced the prices for next year are going up 20% + 6% tax from the provincial government. People are irate over there... tire fire franchise and they're being asked to pay more to watch that. Good luck

hell yeah -- this is one of my top ten bomber plays of all time. gotta mix in the Milt Miracle, some plays from the 2019 and 2021 playoffs, the 1984 Mikawos Grey Cup killshot TD, the Michael Gray interception in 88, Deon Beasley ending Casey Printers' career in 2010, and now the Parker Pursuit from last week. might be a fun offseason project to pull all those together into a youtube.

Yeah he would excel there as well....He was decent as a raw rookie with reps there last yr....Kramdi serves no purpose there if we are not gonna utilize another American Dtackle as a starter on he dline....He is average there...and thats at best. Thank god he's a horrible cover guy and tackler and couldn't bring down Rhymes or we would be staring up at first place right now.....

I hate driving in this city so much, specifically Regent avenue. It’s 60 kilometres per hour. Not a day goes by where I don’t have to sit behind a 3 lane wide row of cars driving like it’s the middle of bloody winter. Dunno, if it's accurate or not, but Parker in as a regular starter feels a bit like when Alexander took over at Safety in '19..... just feels like a different vibe in the secondary right now. Hoping it translates in the same way through the end of November....

Parker likely fastest on team...also most explosive in closing on a tackle yeah...liked the front we were doing....and was the fist game we used minimal Thomas...took long enough to figure that out...If we continue this....and can get Haba on for u know who...we could be prtty interesting and fast with how Hall has used Cole and Clements yeah mentioned that earlier...Cole took a lot of reps late in game...and all of O.T...seemed to be responsible for the Vaj, and when he didnt look to be taking off...he delayed rushed and flushed him out...well done Mr Hall

anytime you have the other team's regional broadcast team doing your game.... it's going to be tough. But over and above that, he's just not good at communicating in the moment.

Yea I think he mentioned Markstrom ridding his demons about 497 times thru the broadcast. I get he's a former goaltender but as a bias Jet fan it became real tired real quick.

Hope not....I'd like to see a Rose and Lawrence Corner duo for a game with Holm and Nichols, and Parker at SAM....Be our best all around group and a more physical one....

and one of the worst tacklers on team....he a good etxra DB in my opinion but has too many holes to truly be a legit shut down guy...I'd rather we rolled with Rose and Lawrence if they insisted on keeping Parker on the pine...And still would like to see Lawrence on roster somehow...not sure our makeup will allow for that tho

nah....u can tackle...u can tackle....He's a way better tackler than Kramdi...and also way more physical, with better closing speed....if anything worst case he would slow up the runner for the posse to swarm in sure u can cherry pick a play here and there...but overall...he is maybe average...also isn't fast enough...every player will make a play here and there thats noteworthy...it's what they do the majority of the time that matters

Houston....and or Holm....Holm would be better at corner on wide side...It was Parkers job in camp before he got hurt whether most of you wanna believe it or not....and in my opinion....Swarmay should have actually been in over Houston...Fancy stats are nice and all....but there are a lot of holes in Houston's game

actually he excelled at it in his NFL camps...was a huge plus with him....talking to the strength coach in Arizona said we will love him on teams...he's crazy tenacious, and he has some blocked kicks on his resume as well

FWIW, Daramy-Swaray was a 27 year old in 2023 class Agudosi was a 29 year old from 2021 class Other Americans cut when PR shrunk were Deng (25 year old LB/DE from NFL), Martin (24 year old WR from NFL who Alston beat out) and Blackmon (25 year old previously cut by MTL) Would hope they bring back Deng, Martin and Blackmon next training camp to get a better look!

Good thing we have to roster 17 linebackers and couldn’t find a way to get ADS on. The Agudosi one kind of bugs me too. I know we’re stacked there but you have to find a way to use a 6”6 WR.

a weird thing about 2023: With the Riders, Stamps, and Elks all cratering this year, the CFL interconference record is 17-12 favoring the east. Doesn't happen very often that the east is better than the west. There's only three more interconference games left to play so "east wins" will be your final result.
