  1. There was this QB they traded for.

  2. I sometimes think we overlook and take for granted how important Joe Pascucci’s impact is on the Blue Bomber legacy. Saved up all the old archival tapes from his time at Global (then CKND) and gives us a living history of the Bombers (and Jets) that otherwise would have been lost to the dustbin of time. Big shout out to him for seeing the value in the old footage and keeping the memories alive. And the best part of that video was the newspaper headline shown at the end. 🤣

  3. I can't see Khari being offered a H.C. job anytime soon, he may have to start over again as an O.C. first, or as you say, catch on with TSN if there is an opening. The only reason he got the head job in Mtl. is Kavis decided to punt Mike Sherman a week before the 2019 season got under way, and he was the most qualified coach on staff. Overall his coaching record has been pretty dismal, long-term he hasn't shown the ability to vastly improve any offence he's worked on, whether it was in Hamilton, BC, Sask. or Mtl.. Nice guy, but big risk for a team looking to re-float a sunken ship IMO.

  6. Terrible league where every team is in black, white or some sort of greyscale.

  7. no team could afford a back up with that salary.

  8. it's weird cause in 2019 (Pre injury) he led the league in deep ball completions....which is strange considering he couldn't throw the ball deep...?

  11. Van Pelt was one of the greats ever to get behind centre in this league....The only qb. that could have taken the job from our all star qb. Kenny Ploen....Was really shocked at the time, that Bud would make that move BUT like everything Grant did it turned out well....R.I.P. Jim

  13. Lucky is breakable and can't block effectively, what do you want??? Bailey was, and still is a better fit for the Bomber offence. Good for Lucky, he's one of the few kick return specialists that successfully transitioned to a full-time starting job, but it had to be elsewhere. Stretching back over time there are hundreds of returners that never made that leap.

  14. Willy was hearing footsteps. I blame our atrocious o-line in 2014 for his demise. He was feeling the heat before it was actually coming forcing him to throw the check down. It was sad because he had a legitimately excellent start to his career in Winnipeg.

  15. Originally here he could...he actually threw quite well and had us become a field stretching offence...then something happened...then he got hurt a few times...then he was done

  16. Yeh Lucky definitely ran ALOT of deep routes in Lapo's offense.... he just always seemed to run them as distractions to the actual play

  17. I'd be shocked if Osh leaves for there...totally shocked...ain't happening...has a good thing here, chance to become a legend...fully ensconced into city, kids are grown, he has no reason to go there...he has just as much reason to go to the Cats with that logic....Osh will not be the coach here when a) we fire him or b) he retires

  18. I don't know.... what do we really know about this Zach Collaros fellow and his 23 - 2 record as a starter for the Blue Bombers... I can't possibly make a judgement that he's a good qb and that the team will win or not with him.

  19. Idiotic decision. Sure, don't let a bright young dude, with potential like KJ develop and grow, along with the team..... the right kinda culture. Instead you panic early, and dump him for a proven non-commodity like Macioca. This is simply slamming the gears into full reverse......

  20. Proof of this was his facial expression when Stegall caught the game winning TD in Edmonton in 06. When he checked for flags and saw none his expression was one for the memory bank.

  22. I feel for Khari. Good coach. Maciocia on the other hand, bad coach, bad GM.

  23. Jones could have been their Osh. Let the guy grow, build the roster over time and surround him with appropriate talent This seems premature and going back to the coaching carousel never works

  25. Bring him in as qb coach or a gimmick coach. RB or shotgun qb coach I think he's a good dude. Wife from the peg. I'd bring milt in as offensive consultant to get him a ring also Maybe Charles Roberts can be the teams dietitian Khari and wade are tight... booster juice and stuff

  26. decieving numbers on the long tho, as I can clearly recall Nichols trying to hit him and missing badly....it wasnt a case of Lucky being open, or dropping the ball, or losing contested battles...they were flat out misses, go back and watch the games...plain as day

  29. Lucky had 75 targets in 2019, and a staggering amount of them were tosses behind the line of scrimmage (30, with 27 being completed). Another 19 targets were at 7 yards or less (16 completions). LaPo definitely overused the hitch screen to him to the point that teams would sit on it. Having said that, Lucky was unreliable in the longer pass game, and some of the abandonment of him there was due to his lack of success as much as it was just being a decoy. Of 26 targets thrown his way at 8 yards or more downfield, he caught only 9 of them (34.6% conversion rate) and only 1 of 9 targets over 20 yards with 1 TD and 2 of those intercepted (for some context, same year Darvin Adams caught 8 of 20 targets over 20 yards for 2 TDs with one of those being intercepted, but had an additional target where he drew a PI call). So the overall picture is a bit more complex than what is being presented. And Lucky and Brandon Alexander both noted how hard he worked in mini-camps during the 2020 pandemic to improve his route running and how much he improved at becoming a deep threat because of it. So criticism can be spread out between LaPo’s over-reliance on hitch plays to get the ball into his hands, Lucky’s own inability to improve his game beyond that type of play, the Bomber receivers coach for not honing that skill more in 2019, O’Shea for benching him in favour of Bailey instead of letting him develop, and Walters for not re-upping him and giving him another chance.

  30. It just blows my mind that he has that one singular loss so far across 3 different seasons. It's really something

  31. God I wish they'd drop the 2 in that record. Left the game with a lead and Brown lost that game. 23-1 is the real collaros record.

  32. Lapo does suck but Nichols couldn't throw the ball 30 yards

  35. I know we like to use the next man up mentality here, and I have no problems with Clements stepping in to Wilsons spot as every indication has shown he more than capable, and also isnt a rookie and has experience in 2021...but who backs him up??....and seeing as we passed on Awe and the released Alloutte player perhaps team knows the Wilson injury isnt season ending and not as bad as many feared?...hopefully so as I know Osh says all guys on roster are there cause they are capable and starter quality, but last year when we used Gauthier and Briggs in that spot...we were significantly and noticeably weaker and less dominant

It seems that there's stuff going on that is not being made public. The allegation is that some of Brown's staff was being paid for by someone outside of the party- an apparent breach of the rules. Brown has asked for specifics as he says he has no personal knowledge of any such, but the party brass is saying that they investigated, and confirmed but will not tell him anything more. From an observer's point of view, this looks odd, and sure looks like the PC want to anoint Poilievre as their leader. This would, in all certainty, be yet another disaster for the Cons. Are they gambling on a Trumpian victory embracing intolerance and division?

  39. Stupid move by an egomaniac. I really feel for Khari but the writing was on the wall when Macioca got hired as GM. I hope the ALS lose every game the rest of the season ( unless they are playing the riders).

And who cares about ranking teams week to week? You are obsessed with power rankings apparently. You think anyone goes into a game with the 2 time defending Champs thinking they're not a top team regardless of whether they're 5-0 or 4-1? Like I said, the Bombers are a top team and if they lose on a short week to BC that won't change anything.

Games in July don't mean **** when sorting who the top teams are. This time last season everyone was falling over themselves about the riders and the Bombers had lost to Toronto and barely beat calgary (on a missed kick no less) and had the same "oh they're not really a top team" crap. Bc being **** last year has to prove they are for real. The Bombers don't. They're for real until such time as they amass a poor record.

  44. Think Khari got a bad break here. He wasn't great but if you fired him this early in the season you clearly weren't committed to him. I am really, really surprised to see Miles get fired. But I guess if you're stabbing one coach in the back, doing it to a second one is easy.
