Some people are really over thinking this Feoli-Guidino signing... he likely came cheap, will play special teams, provide leadership, and emergency depth in case of injury... or maybe not even make the team... really a low risk signing...

Personally, I think if he was given the opportunity last year we still would've been champs. Wish him all the best in his future endeavors... I suspect he'll land in Ottawa with Lapolice, but that's just me. Left everything on the field for this team and city - I hope he will tell his daughter fond stories of Winnipeg and how she got her middle name (Winnie) as he helped turnaround an otherwise floundering organization, and he was able to simultaneously resurrect his football career. Some figures.... There are 35 seats up for re-election in 2020. Currently, they are split 12 for Democrats and 23 for Republicans. To gain control of the Senate, the Democrats will need to win 17 of the 35 up, taking 5 from the Republicans. This would give them a 51-49 majority. In case of a tie in a vote, the VP casts the deciding vote. There are currently four seats that are considered a toss-up in this election, in Maine, North Carolina, Arizona and Colorado. 1 is a Democrat seat and 3 are Republican. There are an additional 4 Republican seats that are leaning Republican but are not safe and 1 Democrat seat that's leaning Democrat but isn't safe. It won't be easy to flip the Senate but now's the time.

There is no team with competent management that is going to pay any player 290k in FA this year. This year is a market reset, we've seen it at QB already and it will continue with position players. Last year was an anomaly because GMs felt the SMS was going up by more than it did. Now teams are back pedaling hard off of last year's numbers. Willie will get a number more in line with Biggie's. Teams do not have the SMS this year because a crap load of SMS flex went away with rookie contracts raising so significantly.

It is amazing you missed the clock management, making calls at the line, quick reads, evading pressure, accurate throws (including the 1st TD), shaking off a high hit, and the 15-20 yard run that set up the winning TD.

I love Willie Jefferson. But, I also trust that Kyle Walters will not overpay for a position where there are other options. Lesser options, but, options that can provide 75% of the production, at 50% of the salary. Ja'Gared Davis potentially, as some have mentioned. Actually had more sacks last year. Not as much of an impact player, but, still effective.

I no longer hold hope that we sign so and so premier pass catcher in FA. If we get one ill be surprised and cautiously optimistic. If we go into the year with lawler, darvin and bailey plus the NIs its still a really good wr core. A good vet with some questions like tasker to push that core would be great. Willy is priority no1 imo if he isnt nfl bound. And keeping money available for nfl guys is important too.
